Hi Adrian, We had people in every blind corner to ensure that the team were aware, if it was not possible to cross the line. We also had contact with people standing further up the mountain, who could warn the car if major groups or cars were descending towards us. On top of that, we found a date and time with minimal traffic to ensure the best possible safety and not creating any dangerous situations for others 👍
People comments about Pogacar taking the KOM, like the performance from ColoQuick was nothing special, really make me laugh. It's amazing how people who have no idea what they are talking about think they are ''so right''. Facts : 1) Pogacar did it with a full team to help him, which make a huge difference. IMPOSSIBLE to beat that time alone, even for him. 2) Some people insist it was during a 200kms ride ... yeah... at the very start of it, after maybe 20kms warmup lol. 3) The kid that took the previous KOM is now at Ineos Grenadiers for 3 years, and some comments make it look like if their performance was something done by amateurs LOL 4) They clearly had security in the most important turns etc., which UAE didn't have. But Coll de Rattes traffic is virtually ZERO. Whenever I do it, between 20 and 25 minutes, at least once a week, I see 2 or 3 cars maximum. So yeah, people whining about security make me laugh.
