The most HONEST car salesman of ALL time. He discloses everything!😎🍺
And such a good one that he almost sold it back to himself. lol
@@Drewzer154😂
Its got rust n no vinyl whats there to disclose it painfully obvious!
There was a great Twilight Zone episode when a shady used car salesman was cursed to always have to tell the truth lol
Your trip in this awesome auto is probably my favorite videos you've done. A true masterpiece. Hope you didn't let someone lowball you on this. Just the piece of mind you'd get purchasing this is worth untold dollars.
My Dad bought a new one in 75. I got my driver's license in 74 and was allowed to drive it occasionally. Very nice driving comfortable car!
That would still be a £15-£20k car here in the UK, man you guys are so lucky.
I'd buy any car off this guy. (can't, Aussie living in Thailand, my Old Man was a mechanic so I picked up a bit) but would cause he's overly honest, show's everything from scratch and sells em in good nick. His knowledge of car mechanics is what blows me away - I'm trying to learn. Mate, If you move to Thailand - let me know.
11:00 one of the lessons my father taught me was to know the car you're driving and know where the tires are. Second lesson was to always park with your tires pointed straight ahead. I miss him. This is my first comment on you and Jens channels. I found you two weeks ago and have been binge watching them. Keep doing what you're doing. We love it!
$6500 is a fair price. You, Jen and Gus have a lot of memories with that machine. Gus is going to miss it.
Hey Chris, hate to see the car go because this is the car that brought me to your channels. As someone who is like minded and close (WV) I really love the content. Keep up the great work. I really appreciate your effort into making videos for all of us to enjoy.
They were a nice car at the time. I had a 1976 Elite.
The pup loves it too
Wow. Everything is going
yup, like I said but someone commented can't keep them all. soooooo
I bought a new one in 1975 for $6700. Loved it.
Damn! Never realized how nice those seats are! Grew up riding in one of those. If I wasn’t living in Alaska I’d buy it.
It’s a great video where y’all bought it and all that. People should def watch it. It’s come a long way and it’s not some junk box. That’s a nice classic ready to go for people who want to get into the hobby
Love this car! Gonna miss it! Hope you get every dollar your asking!!!
I saw this on marketplace and knew this would be an interesting comments section…
That’s a fair price considering how mechanically sound Chris has gotten it to. Plus it is from the desert. Good buy for someone
Y'all made some great vids with this one, good luck with the sale
My buddy had one of those and I lusted after it to an embarrassing degree. Amazing how our tastes change as we age.
You guys had a fun road trip in it !
Indeed! Priceless trip it was!
Very fair price. Stick to you're guns!! I watched y'all come home in it!!😂😂❤❤
$6500 is more than fair asking price for that car.
100%, I owned one of these back in the early 80s and would love to get this one. That 351 in this car will get 22 mpg in this car IF you don’t have a heavy foot, plus it’s got power to spare when you need it. I also think the Raptor liner is a great solution to the trashed vinyl top. Sure it’s not perfect but it gets the job done and it looks nice.
Nice tour around, unique area. Good luck on the sale.
I can't wait to see what all these sales are going to.
Nice going to town rig. Nice honest description of the car.
Loved the Driving Tour, and those wheels. Thanks!
Love the car and loved the drive & music at the end Chris, Great price for it👍🇮🇪
Chris…you have chosen a lovely backdrop for staging the Elite!!😀😀😀😀😀Hope you get what you want for it. I had the same car in white with a red interior. Great car.
Always good to see you and the GUSMAN, I thought this was going to be Jens daily driver since you have sold her Mustang and her Honda is up for sale. Hope your getting her something to drive as I would think shes not fond of walking! Keep making those videos! Good luck with your car sales!
He was about to tare that pizza up! 😆 🤣
I took the Washington crossing bridge for years always to Frenchtown NJ then to Flemington NJ. Nice ride from Kensington to Frenchtown to go skating.
Hi Chris, Yeah, I feel ya about having too many cars. In your business, rotating stock is a given. Like you said, you can't keep them all. Keep up the good work. I enjoy the channels and all the content you provide. Keep up the good work, and I will be following your adventures and purchases.
Love this car! Reminds me a bit of Starsky & Hutch, the O.G. TV series. I relly love those cars alot. I wish I could afford it now. I would fly out and drive it home to OKC.
I remember Hutch would call it "The flying Tomato" lol . If this was my car I'd have to put the white stripe in it and paint the roof red
But it not a gran torino an that car was stock! Fly? I wouldnt drive 20 miles to see a rusty no vinyl top car!
@@user-rw8fy4cf3d this car is in very good shape ! The money he is asking with All the new parts is definitely worth every penny of $6,500 .try looking in marketplace you'll see what I'm talking about
I had a 1972 4d Grand Torino in 1982 when i lived in Chico Ca. almost Mint Condition, loved that car I wish I could take that car off your hands.
Wow, Chris is having a whole sale on all of his stuff. I wish the best for you buddy!!
Beautiful scenery. It looks like a part of New Jersey that nobody sees. Thanks for the cruise.
Really cleaned up nice
Egad, those bumpers! Thanks, Ralph.
I had a white one with a red top. Drove it from Pa to Florida and back Loved that car.
Thanks Chris..You live in a nice part of the world..UK
Looks great Chris.
Great vid, love the Ford!!
Never thought I'd see that up for sale,,great looking car
Damn thats worth 6500! Sounds like it runs good!
This is a beautiful car, and would for sure pay the asking from a mechanic like Chris. Good luck on the sale, and I am sure the new owner will be happy.
Great rotating stock love it
Chris I think that is a fair for such a clean and reliable car. But as you say you cant keep them all It will be bittersweet seeing such a cool car go. Hope it goes to a good home.! I saw the Mustang was sold I hope you sell the ambulance also1 Please keep up the great videos!
I love the dog!!! He is so adorable
I had one of those back in the mid 80's. Paid 500 bucks for it. No rust, had the 400 in it. It was light tan in color. I called it the boat. lol.
This ones worth 600 because its shinny red n has a 350 2 bbl!
Gus is a legend 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ok new toys it’s always good more good videos 👍👍 I can’t wait to see the green mustan
Parabéns, Cris. Grande carro. Lembro com saudades da série de TV. Abraços do Brasil.
That's a beautiful car
When I was high school and college in the 1980's $600 was the standard price for these old 70's beaters.
Thanks!
I had sent you a message when jen was driving the van in the parking lot while you were in the junk yard and came across the very same car with full interior
NOTE: This was the predecessor to the famous Starsky and Hutch 1976 Ford Gran Torino! Love it!
That car is worth a full restoration. Hope you get more than you ask Chris. Good luck.
Damn. This was one of my favorite cars ive seen you rescue. I even showed a friend the part where you gave it to your girlfriend ( huge honor points ). :o
:(
Its a great start to a project car for somebody that is attracted to these big ole luxo boats. I think the price is a bit high BUT hey all you need is the right buyer as again you don't find them in this good of condition (overall its not bad) normally so again it's a great starting point. Good Luck hope you find the right buyer ..... 👍 👍Gus is such a cool pup!
Great video 📹 👍 👏
Love the Torino. I have a similar problem with keeping too many cars around -- how do you deal with keeping insurance costs affordable for your fleet?
If only…. Wow! Love that car!
Too bad you and Jen sold the Mustang, I would've loved to see you and Tony Angelo do a wrenching/upgrade collaboration on that old girl. It would've been awesome to see it get some love and go faster parts.
Nice show Nice car 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
I think the Torino is worth at least that. Maybe more. I feel a property purchase coming up soon!!😊
Great video 📹 👍 👏 👌
That car is looking fine. I was thinking you an Jen should take a few of your cars to car shows for sale. Your Chevelle and your wagon.
I was wondering fi that was Lambertville. Bucks County Playhouse locked it down. Nice area. Nice car as well.
Ohhh that bridge crossing was bit hairy🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🇬🇧🇬🇧
Hi Chris, You said, "Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't." That's a good description of my wife. Could I rent Gus for a few days? I'm putting an underground sprinkler system in my yard, and he would make a great ditch digger.
It's a really nice car and in great shape for its age. So at that bargain price, it should sell fast. Don't let anyone talk you down in price
Gus chillin
Great video, I would love to own the car!
I’ve said this before but you live in such a cool area always something to do. I don’t think you’ll have any trouble selling that.
Cool video Chris, although I think you will have better chance of selling it with hood lining it will reverberate like a tin can without it.
I love Gus 😍
New owner can put a headliner in if they would like. If it doesn't sell, it's no sweat for me. I like the car a lot and don't mind keeping it
And yeah he's the man!
@@nnkhmisc Ok then all good.
@@nnkhmisc Did you sell this car? and the freightliner ex- ambulance
Nice video and cool car Chris :) also should sell quickly for one want take to vechiles shows !
Chris, say it ain't so, not the gran torino. My Dad had a 73 gran torino in blue when I was in college. I used to drive that thing, it was fun. Sadly, my days for those type of cars is past. I really enjoyed the cruise on a sunny day. I was just wondering if you had officially turned into a used car dealership for your state with all the vehicles. No more snail, selling the Ambu and Torino and the fox body mustang too, oh well it was fun while it lasted. Thanks for the great videos and please keep them coming. Over and out for now.
This is how those 70's cars should be priced
Have you sold any of your other rides?
Big fan- NorCal
Hello Chris and Jen. I had a 1973 Gran Torino Sport with the 351 Cleveland , man I miss that car. Somebody will love getting hold of yours. It runs like brand new!
I owned a silver/burgandy 1976 ford Elite that I bought used in 1978. It rode like a living room, but it was gutless with a 351W and got 11 mpg no matter how I drove it…
Come on Chris, what's going on here????
Selling it all to move to bigger place
Jenn is pregnant
Town dont want all his cars sitting in his yard
They all seem to be possible, but I’d hate to see him move after all of that work to the garage. Never seen one stacked that high before!
@@jonnybrown600 people are freaking out for no reason.
Wow, it's a fire sale.
straight up presentation of the car.... I saw all the vids with this ride, really enjoy your stuff ,,, fair price for all the work done. and it's a 70's cool driver.. !
He paid to much for a car thats undisirable n has rust n no vinyl top!
I'd love it. It's exactly the type and condition I want, but I just don't have the space for it r/n.
Hey Chris, I think you are reasonable on the price. I'm in Western Canada, and cars of that vintage and condition are selling for even more than you are asking.
Nice car, in love with the sound. Clint Eastwood might be interested :p Add the amount of hours you two put in labour, I guess it's a steal.
I remember that vegas video.
Lucky person gets that!
I wouldnt call that lucky not worth 2500 bucks!
My first car, 1973 Gran Torino 351 Cleveland with a stock 2 barrel carb. Fun car.
Be honest it was a total smog dog in 73!
@@user-rw8fy4cf3d No smoke out of the pipe if that's what you mean.
It does have tilt steering wheel! Press the signal lever away from you and you can adjust the steering wheel!!
Supprised the dash pad didnt crack out west. Looks in good shape.
That's an extremely reasonable price, I'd think closer to $10K would be fair. Good luck it should go quickly.
I've seen minty ones go for around 10K. These don't seem to hold their value that well at the moment but I'm sure that will change in the future. A super cool car! I definitely won't be upset if it doesn't sell. I love driving it
@@nnkhmisc I think a definite plus is that it's a Nevada car, I'm a little further north than you and as you know rust around here knocks the price down considerably
@@nunyabuziness8421 said the guy who actually knows nothing about cars.
@@JosesGaraje if it wast a vegas car it would have way more rust than it does have! Hence no vinyl top!
@@nunyabuziness8421 from where i came from it be hard to get 2500! at that i would pay that price Missing the vinyl top n rust where it be hard to fix spots n whats it worth if you do the body n paint it still doesnt have a vinyl top an your in for way way more than its worth n it really aint worth fixing!
good move..clean up and move on..btw 6500 is a steal for a cool car gone over by you..
big block Malibu stays,I hope,,,great video as usual..
Morning from Sydney Australia. A little rust converter and bondo might be "just what the doctor ordered."
Try to find a horn steering wheel cover trim.
🌏🇦🇺
I’m interested Chris
I sure hope everything is Ok with you selling all the Toys!, Going to miss this one!, Reminds me so much of the 1974 Mercury Montego my Brother drove for Years!, And the 1978 T-Bird Mom had!, Maybe selling all this stuff means the 1967 Mustang is getting a complete Resto???
Very. Nice old. Car. I'm. From edmonton canada ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Out with the old and in with the new, got to have fresh content to get the views. Besides, to many classics sitting around rusting away in a field just waiting to be revived. I hear ya' Chris...
