We also get glimpses of Leon, suggesting that either Victor or Gloria has already become Champion, and Leon either has passed away, or has lost all his power and passed it on to Gloria
For the last part, they were actually fighting as much as they could before Leon could show up to finish the fight that they couldn't win by themselves btw

Ok my interception of this video is this. This is the true background of galar instead of those idiots with the sword and shield hair. The king has recently died *Leon* and the prince has been captured *victor.* so the princess *gloria* is now in charge. She sends one of the three loyal knights *hop* to go save him. Hop received the sword and shield relics and after getting his ass beat he tells the princess that he can't save him. the princess thinks he's rebelling but hop says he thinks she's the true hero and should go fight the dark forces. As she get's the sword and shield relics Eternatus shows up to stop them from advancing. She tries to fight it as hop tells her to wait but she charges ahead. Hop wondering how she can keep on fighting like this sees a vision of Leon and decides to try to help her. The other two loyal knights *Marnie and Bede* also tries to help out. As the princess is knocked out in the ensuing battle she sees a vision of the old King Leon showing a sad smile to her as she wakes up to find hop and the loyal knights crying for her thinking she died. The reason they we're all able to get out of it alive was because the real heroes Zacian and Zamazenta beat Eternatus for them. So while they might have beaten him they still wasn't able to go save Victor. So they decide to wait until they show up again to actually save Victor leaving him alone for awhile.
But if Leon was the king, whould that make Gloria and Victor his children? Does that make hop an uncle? Wait, should hop also be a king or a prince or something? I would say that Leon is just one of the best knights of the king and he sacrificed himself. Maybe Hop saw a vision of Leon and decides to help Gloria because he didn't want her to die like Leon did.
Not to mention the personality to the player. I wish one of these Pokémon games we got to be the crazy one dragging our friends into adventure lol. That would be pretty fun :)

But it costed Leon’s life and the weapons without the spirit of a hero to power them up rusted away until they looked like nothing more than scrap Still, to honor the hero that had saved them, the Galarian royal family kept the rusted weapons in hopes that one day they will return to their former glory However, the peace that followed was short-lived as a dark wizard known as Rose wished to bring back Eternatus in a mad attempt to save the recent power declining that Galar suffered, not caring for the consequences it would bring And to prevent anyone from thwarting his plans, he imprisoned Prince Victor as he was the male twin so by tradition, he was the heir to the throne So now it was up to to the intrepid female twin, Princess Gloria, to save Galar alongside her friends Gloria went to the late hero’s younger brother Hop, thinking that since he had Leon’s blood running threw his veins he must be the key to activate the weapons powers Unfortunately, Hop wasn’t the hero the group quite expected him to be and wasn’t able to power up the weapons But in the final battle against Eternatus, Hop told Gloria that she must be the actual chosen hero as he could feel his brother’s spirit deep within her But although Gloria was up to the challenge, she wasn’t able to power the weapons either and ended up nearly dying But in her limbo-like state, she got a vision of none other than Leon himself Leon explained to her that there was a reason why no one was able to empower the weapons until that point There were *two* weapons, *two* legendary wolves, *two* legacies… There was no 'chosen one', because in truth… There has always been *two* heroes With this new information, Gloria managed to wake up and tell her disheartened friends the truth And thus, with Gloria taking the shield and Hop the sword, Eternatus was finally slayed for good Years went by, and the once again rusted weapons were laid in Leon’s grave Patiently waiting for the next time they needed to be called upon Hop decided to take his own path in life and become a mage, while Gloria was crowned queen when Victor saw that she was far more capable than him to rule Galar THE END (Whaddaya think guys?)

My interpretation of the leon scenes are that they are actually seeing modern leon through their (possible) reincarnations because of just how much impact leon had on them The first one (0:45) was hop seeing leon in gloria, like how future hop would see future gloria The second one (0:52) was gloria, literally seeing her future counterpart's battle with leon before waking up to hop Leon was so impactful to hop and gloria that it affected their ancestors

I still think about this animation a whole lot, thank you forever for making this!! The way Gloria and Hop both see Leon (their "ideal" hero) in each other but not themselves hurts in a way that is completely off tone but also specifically fitting for the song and it makes my heart ache
