I never thought much of them either. I was never really the battle facility type of person as a kid, especially since I was terrible at getting to the end of games. I barely even registered that they were unique characters- I was too preoccupied with the fact that Nate had shown up. Oh boy, do I regret that now.

When I saw Ingo in PLA I went “haha funny train man is here” and then I went “funny train man is… here” I broke when he didn’t remember Emmet or trains or Chandalure. The subway was the only reason I played B&W I love the twins, I see so much of myself in them and having one without the other is a cruelty I don’t wish upon anyone. Being a two car train to then be without your other half is cruel and if gamefreak don’t reunite the twins I’m gunna fight them in a Denny’s parking lot
My crackpot theory is, they will do another Pokemon Legends series game, but where Emmet is the one that travels back in time, then the next one takes place in ancient Unova where they end up being the two legendary heroes of that region.

Yo everyone is talking about the brothers but can we talk about how GOATED REI IS????? And I literally teared up when Nobori called out to Rei in confusion, in a state of disbelief that yes this was happening, but also, Rei won't be staying. Nobori has his home to stay in, and Rei has his own home to get back to. It's a moment of chill bittersweet, of a friendship that transcends time. Rei, the champ, the legend, gave a huge smile and waved Nobori off with a smile. What a bro.
Darker Plottwist: Rei had to go back so Ingo could stay since people back in Hisui still needs someone like them to learn propearly about pokemons and maybe evoid future disasters, so Rei decides to stay since he does not have his memories unlike Ingo

I adore how I can hear Rei literally say “Lemme talk to god real quick” after Ingo says “Is there a way for me to go home?” But I do so wish he had stayed around longer, assuming this is the same Ingo and Emmet that lead the gym, if they keep their memories of Ingo’s disappearance (or even if they don’t) imagine how they could react to seeing Dawn/Lucas- It opens a doorway of possiblities. Ingo approaching them, asking if it was really them. Hoping in his heart that Rei/Akari had time traveled again, only to be met with the trainers confusion, Stating they don’t know them- their sorry their not who he’s looking for, but they hope he finds the person soon. Emmet, seeing Dawn/Lucas, even after seeing them (Rei/Akari) for a brief moment when Ingo was returned, through Ingo’s tales of the past, he feels as if he owes Rei/Akari, from them calming the nobles, protecting Ingo from the Zoroark, trying to help him remember who he was and then returning him home, Emmet wants to say a proper thank you. Once challenged by Dawn/Lucas, Emmet requests they hold off the battle for a moment, Ingo and the trainer oblige. Emmet stands before Dawn/Lucas, saying how he never got to thank them for returning his brother, making it a huge speech. Dawn/Lucas is caught off guard by this, but after the speech finishes, you can see flashes of Dawn/Lucas remembering parts of their lives as Akari/Rei (while there may be ancestors, I imagine Dawn/Lucas is the reincarnation of Akari/Rei). Like I’d love to see that. EDIT: I now realize I made this more confusing then it should’ve been! The whole “Ingo and Emmet meeting Dawn/Lucas” is based off my hc that after becoming champion/failing to become champion, the protagonist explores the next region (for Dawn and Lucas? That happens to be Unova)
This is a beautiful possibility! Though, the twins lead the Subway Train battles, not the gym. Elesa, who was shown in this video trying to comfort Emmett, is the gym leader in the same town the subway is in.

If it makes you feel any better it is likely that he doesn’t remember having any brother. If I remember correctly by the player character being sent to the past they no longer exist in the future and are instead replaced by the player character of the opposite gender. So either He got a sister instead or he just doesn’t remember having a brother.

I dont even know where to start how absolutely breathtaking this is, how much love and dedication you must have put into this is more than visible, all of this is so perfectly how it would and could and SHOULD be, especially the thing with zoroark is such a wonderful concept and I am so glad you incorporated it into this I felt their pain throughout your video, you perfectly encapsulated it, all the feelings till the end, I think I didnt really breath throughout it haha, like I said breathtaking, I am certain this will ease a lot of pain from a lot of people wanna see them reunited and wondering how kudari was doing through noboris disappearance and also how the latter delt with it, if now in the form of zoroark or differently. I cried by this, hah. It made remember about my little sister, she died. Even though I've kind of accepted it, I always get to imagine myself what it could've been, to live together, to be happy and sad. I can't imagine the pain someome should feel when they loss their sibling, to them just dissappear, it must hurt. I think this is really amazing and I'm kind of glad it ended (atleast in this video) in good terms, with Ingo meeting Emmet once again. Thank you. The first time i EVER cried from a UA-cam video was when Miles Edgeworth gave Kay Faraday her Promises Book back and she became a memory back where she started to say a rule from her promise book when she was a small child from a memory and ended up saying it herself in the real world, which returned her lost memories. The second time i ever cried from a UA-cam video was from 2:55 in this video. Seems like returning lost memories sure make me cry from joy and happiness, so congratulations for this master piece.

I don't have the words to tell you how much I love this! the song is perfect, your timing for each scene/frame is amazing, and looking at their different expressions I could FEEL what they were. From the zoroark scenes to Emmets' breakdowns and Ingo drowning in the void as he remembered Emmet near the end; all of them hit me with intense emotions I can't even explain. This is gonna be one of the special videos I come back to rewatch for sure!
This is so sweet and I absolutely love it! And I love how you solved the problem of "But what about all the friends Ingo made while in Hisui?" I love that not only does he get to be back with Emmet, but he gets to text Irida and the Pearl Clan and Lady Sneasler! This is so sweet!!!
I'm not going to cry, I'm not going to cry...I'M GOING TO CRY! This is so well done and expresses just how heartbreaking the situation truly is for the brothers. This is just speculation but the Zoroark tried to help Nobori remember his brother and probably lashed out in anger when he only thought it was mimicing him with a different color pallet. Considering that Hisuian Zoroarks are rather angry creatures after having been driven out and turned to ghosts, it's possible that it didn't know of another way to show Nobori that he had been thinking incorrectly and that in fact it was someone he knew. Kudari had it rough, constantly searching for his brother while handing the Subway all on his own, while attempting to find his brother...that's a lot of stress on one person. Then when Nobori finally starts to remember, it's such a flood of emotions and memories that it's so overwhelming... Everything was done right here. Thank you for making this, I cannot express how much this means to not only me but many others. I will now proceed to replay this constantly and cry each time.
That zoroark found out ingos weakness without realizing that it was mimicking his brother. It was thinking ingo was in horror of himself with the zoroark form. But ingo knew that form looked familiar.
Dude, one of the cruelest things i've seen these days is to separate twin brothers who are half of each other. Like, They pose together, talk together (complementing each other), sometimes even sharing a mind of their own. And suddenly, *poof*. The Literary other half of you is gone or taken away in the blink of an eye, i don't even could think the suffering they must be filling.
When I first met nobori/ingo in PLA, I remembered who he was cuz I played BW and BW2, and I wondered, why is he here? Where is his brother? Then he told me that he didn't remember pretty much anything, and my heart sank. Later on he remembered after the electrode battle, and I was happy he at least remembered the things important to him, but he couldn't even recall his brother's name or his partner Pokémon, just thinking it was someone identical to him and some Pokémon he thought was close to him, not fully remembering its appearance. Then he remembered about the world he once lived in, the world where humans and Pokémon lived side by side in modern day. But still, he did not fully remember nimbasa city, the subway, his Pokémon or his brother. I wondered, when would arceus send him back to his time? He didn't belong here, he has family waiting for him. I got no answer. Your MV is stunning in how both nobori/ingo and kudari/Emmett would be feeling, one in pain, not knowing why, the other in pain knowing that his twin is gone, yet still holding out hope that he is still alive. I really do hope they give us closure on the twins, because separating family like this is cruel, and they deserve to be together again.

When I started Pokemon Legends Arceus, I never thought I would become obsessed with Ingo. I have never felt this attached to a Pokemon character before. This brought tears. Bravo.

This is such a gorgeous animation. While playing legends arceus, it genuinley hurt me not to be able to send Ingo back after finishing the Pokédex. Cuz that’s what the player and him were sent to the past to do (as well as stop Volo). So why can’t there be a DLC portion where the player can send Ingo back home? 😭

It made remember about my little sister, she died. Even though I've kind of accepted it, I always get to imagine myself what it could've been, to live together, to be happy and sad.
I can't imagine the pain someome should feel when they loss their sibling, to them just dissappear, it must hurt.
I think this is really amazing and I'm kind of glad it ended (atleast in this video) in good terms, with Ingo meeting Emmet once again.

The first time i EVER cried from a UA-cam video was when Miles Edgeworth gave Kay Faraday her Promises Book back and she became a memory back where she started to say a rule from her promise book when she was a small child from a memory and ended up saying it herself in the real world, which returned her lost memories.
The second time i ever cried from a UA-cam video was from 2:55 in this video.
Seems like returning lost memories sure make me cry from joy and happiness, so congratulations for this master piece.

I don't have the words to tell you how much I love this! the song is perfect, your timing for each scene/frame is amazing, and looking at their different expressions I could FEEL what they were. From the zoroark scenes to Emmets' breakdowns and Ingo drowning in the void as he remembered Emmet near the end; all of them hit me with intense emotions I can't even explain. This is gonna be one of the special videos I come back to rewatch for sure!
This is so sweet and I absolutely love it! And I love how you solved the problem of "But what about all the friends Ingo made while in Hisui?" I love that not only does he get to be back with Emmet, but he gets to text Irida and the Pearl Clan and Lady Sneasler! This is so sweet!!!
I'm not going to cry, I'm not going to cry...I'M GOING TO CRY! This is so well done and expresses just how heartbreaking the situation truly is for the brothers.
This is just speculation but the Zoroark tried to help Nobori remember his brother and probably lashed out in anger when he only thought it was mimicing him with a different color pallet. Considering that Hisuian Zoroarks are rather angry creatures after having been driven out and turned to ghosts, it's possible that it didn't know of another way to show Nobori that he had been thinking incorrectly and that in fact it was someone he knew.
Kudari had it rough, constantly searching for his brother while handing the Subway all on his own, while attempting to find his brother...that's a lot of stress on one person.
Then when Nobori finally starts to remember, it's such a flood of emotions and memories that it's so overwhelming...
Everything was done right here. Thank you for making this, I cannot express how much this means to not only me but many others. I will now proceed to replay this constantly and cry each time.

I got back into the submas rabbithole because of this video and PLA for several months now. I still feel disheartened when I open up the game.
That zoroark found out ingos weakness without realizing that it was mimicking his brother. It was thinking ingo was in horror of himself with the zoroark form. But ingo knew that form looked familiar.

Dude, one of the cruelest things i've seen these days is to separate twin brothers who are half of each other. Like, They pose together, talk together (complementing each other), sometimes even sharing a mind of their own.

When I first met nobori/ingo in PLA, I remembered who he was cuz I played BW and BW2, and I wondered, why is he here? Where is his brother? Then he told me that he didn't remember pretty much anything, and my heart sank. Later on he remembered after the electrode battle, and I was happy he at least remembered the things important to him, but he couldn't even recall his brother's name or his partner Pokémon, just thinking it was someone identical to him and some Pokémon he thought was close to him, not fully remembering its appearance. Then he remembered about the world he once lived in, the world where humans and Pokémon lived side by side in modern day. But still, he did not fully remember nimbasa city, the subway, his Pokémon or his brother. I wondered, when would arceus send him back to his time? He didn't belong here, he has family waiting for him. I got no answer. Your MV is stunning in how both nobori/ingo and kudari/Emmett would be feeling, one in pain, not knowing why, the other in pain knowing that his twin is gone, yet still holding out hope that he is still alive. I really do hope they give us closure on the twins, because separating family like this is cruel, and they deserve to be together again.

This is such a gorgeous animation. While playing legends arceus, it genuinley hurt me not to be able to send Ingo back after finishing the Pokédex. Cuz that’s what the player and him were sent to the past to do (as well as stop Volo). So why can’t there be a DLC portion where the player can send Ingo back home? 😭
