There is nothing related about eating disorder here. I'm just Tryna say either the guy is very strong that he is lifting her with one hand or the girl is just so petite and light weight. Again there is NO connection between eating disorder and their performance

It's incredible how he can lift her while moving at such speeds. She also has to have incredible core strength to keep a flying pose with nothing to stabilize her but one hand on her hips.
My husband can bench press me, and I'm no spring chicken, so my guess is this skater could lift his partner like a cheerleader pretty easily, but the incredible skill comes in doing it safely while flying over ice.
Figure skaters also have to have serious muscles into order to lift themselves off the ice, so trying to get as light as possible would become a losing endeavor at some point, of course also in terms of her health. I think of it like female gymnasts: they really have to get as much muscular strength as they can. Whereas ballerinas are in a difficult position because whatever their body weight is, they have to be able to lift it on toe point. Ballet is beautiful, but I don't envy them at all.
This teams' advantage is that he is so strong, her weight is not unusual.
