Dearest Emily and Ed, I’ve been watching your videos for 6 years now, and I love your enthusiasm, love for reptiles, birds and insects/arachnids. I know it’s like a 1% chance of you seeing this, but I just want to say, thank you. You have made my life 10x better by encouraging me to get my own reptile. I now have 2 gorgeous blueys who I plan on breeding next year. All the best wishes for both of you, your reptile family, and your kindness. Edit- Wowsers, I didn’t realise I got 257 likessss? @@GavinDL that’s so cool! I can’t believe the odds are in my favour, I didn’t get notified that they saw my comment, so thanks for commenting and getting me to check!
I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but the panting of birds is called gular fluttering. It's basically the same function as panting, to lower the body temp.
My favourite zoo, I'm UK, is Chester zoo and with their help and encouragement the city of Chester has become the 1st city to not use unsustainable palm oil. They worked with businesses and schools ect. I think it would be great if more cities followed them.
As a girl from Honduras I’m very glad u love our animals they also love humans I have an maca jungle well bc my dad rescues themselves and we also have many monkeys but I’m glad u took care of them
I LOVE the attitude of green iguanas. When i was a kid my adult cousin had a pet green. He'd had him for over 20 years. However, even now, like 2 deceades later, i remember his awfully overgrown claws, his broken spines, and the huge, but way to small for an igiana, fishtank he lived in. He was so old and knew nothing but that tank 😢
My dad got me a white faced capuchin for my first birthday ( relax folks we are talking 1970, people were ignorant to the plight back then) and we had the rare rare monkey that was "good". He learned very quickly that being bad meant being separated from his girl. He lived to be 36. He saw me through the entirety of my education including my degree, the first 15 years of my career and my marriage. He didn't care for another male in my life, but soon adopted him too. I say this to also say never ever get a monkey as a pet. My monkey was great, but I had dozens of monkey owner friends during those 36 years, Mine is the only one who never hurt anyone, never destroyed the house, or car, or the owner's real kids. Please please never get a monkey pet. please
Early luv u snake discovery!! You and ur channel helped me get over my fear of reptiles! And now I own a hognose! All I can say is ty for everything u do for your fans! ❤
Neurologist suggested a capuchin for my disability animal due to having 3 strokes and brain surgery for a mass that caused the strokes. I had to relearn everything & still have trouble with hair care & other daily functions. Thank you for showing all the animals.
i love you guys i have watched you guys for years and i love you guys hope you have fun on vacation you are what got me into snakes and now they are my specal intrest so thank you
Yes! New vid day!! Been waiting up for this. These videos have really helped me settle in my new baby bearded dragon and baby corn snake. The info is invaluable. Love to Ed & Emily 🙂🎉
been watching for 4-5 years now! i met u on this cruise and it was so fun talking with you! i love u emily and ed and thank you for the amazing picture 💓💓
Emily and Ed, oh my gosh. I was just in Guatemala (not Honduras but pretty close) a few weeks ago! And I LOVE capuchin monkeys!!!!!!! There weren’t any in the places I went to in Guatemala-instead there were spider monkeys and howler monkeys, which were still pretty cool. But I wanted to say, after my experience in Central America, that it’s truly so amazing and inspiring that several of the wild animals came right up to you guys! From what you guys said, it seems like they were used to people, but STILL I didn’t see or experience anything like that, despite having traveled with just two other people (one was the tour guide), and I think it speaks to how respectful and kind you guys are to all animals. I think they can just sense it or something. Love you guys! 🥰
Wow, that was cool! It looked like Momma Capuchin wanted to take a shower in Ed's hair sweat! LOL Poor Ed. Thank you for sharing your vacation time with us!
I don't know if anyone supplied this, but I believe the term you're looking for for the bird "panting" is Gular Fluttering. This helps the birds dissapate heat similar to panting in dogs so I think that's what you were describing 😊
@e.s.r5809 Yeah, perhaps so! She said she didn't know if there was a term for it in the video at about 4:00 in, so I was supplying what I believed to be the term she was looking for :) I usually just say panting as well when talking to non-bird people cause it's more easily understood lol
Listening to this video as I set up a tank for a new hognose I'm getting in a week or so! Very excited and I've gotten plenty of neat hides and things for him.
I love the travel vlogs from Snake Discovery. Loved seeing the iguanas and monkeys. Looks like Emily and Ed had a great vacation. I’m jealous I really could use a vacation right now.
Now I want to go to Honduras and just chill with macaws all day, it seemed like the one picking at the bark on the tree wanted to have a conversation with Emily
1 hour ago! And I wanted to tell you guys: your guys are AWESOME. don’t let anyone or yourself forget! You guys are great at your passion and job! Keep your fun energy and your cool career! 😊❤
Would LOVE to see you (Emily & Ed) to go check out the Alveus Animal Sanctuary and do a stream with them. They do educational stuffs and every tour stream they talk about each animal's story and why they have them. Such as Winnie, to explain how the beef industry works and how to help against the slaughter of cows.
Hello Emily and Ed hope your trip is amazing and I and some friends are cruising to Montego Bay, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. Our cruise is the first week of September and I am so excited. Have a awesome time❤❤
I can't believe you are in Honduras!???!, I'm from here and I have been watching your videos for years!!!! I hope you enjoyed your time here. I know it's quite humid actually very humid 😅😂
I love how much Emily torments Ed. But he keeps trying to get her. Love you guys so much xoxo. Hope you are having a great vacay. Be careful and hurry back home.
I'm going to neighbouring Guatemala later this year and hoping to see a boa or two, howler monkeys, maybe even a jaguar (slim chance, but I can dream). I'm even more excited after seeing this video!
Saw you at the parade today I was in a braided bun and a blue shirt that was so fun you guys are my favorite UA-camrs. I met you before at the reptiles zoo. I was in the green shirt. My name was Olivia if you remember me.
I am not used to your videos being so short :D Also - awesome, another type of content, very nice to see. I wish you a good time on holidays and a safe trip back.
I am half Honduran and half puerto Rican and I am going in December and is cool to see the animals before hand. How hot was it and is their different time of snakes their to?
The whole time i was scared the cariblanco would take ur glasses haha I'm from Central America and we have these animals around too so I'm used to them stealing everything on vacation
the capuchin just casually laying on Emily's arm was adorable
I especially love how it just flopped down too. Arm, branch, same thing.
I love how iguana's angry pose is "sup" Like they're saying hi to their friend across a bar.

Ok, the mama and baby capuchins hanging out on Ed's head is one of the cutest things I've ever seen!!😢
I know right 😊🙃
I love how Emily constantly mentions that they are bad pets but beautiful animals in the wild:)
Hello from Guyana 🇬🇾 my daughter vishaia and I love watching your videos together lots of love from vishaia ❤

Patiently waiting for egg hatching videos 😁 hope y'all enjoy(ed) your vacation Ed and Emily 💕
Another reason why I love watching your channel is all the things we learn. 😊❤
As much as I love the reptile heavy content- showing cool mammals is fun too! Watching you with the monkeys is adorable 😂
Capuchins are absolutely adorable, they’re one of the very few species of monkeys that don’t terrify me
As someone who has been on the receiving end of a capuchins teeth with the scar to prove it, I can tell you that they probably should lol
The way you got so close to the Makaws. They're such a beautiful species 🥰
I wish I could see one so close
Wow! Looks like a total gem of a place for wildlife. Love seeing wild animals in the wild.
Enjoy your vacation! Love these beautiful creatures!
I'm with Ed. I was silently screaming, Don't shake the bridge! And I'm safe at home 😊

My fave type of video! Vacations snake discovery is the best💚
Ed is being very brave and Emily is being a stinker to tease him‼️
Emily being a daredevil on the bridge was so chaotic but funny 😂
Enjoy watching you guys! Have for years! Thanks for educating the people!
Wonderful video! Thank you for posting videos more often. Love watching and keeping up with y'all and all of your adventures and shenanigans. ❤
Thank you for repeatedly saying that all these animals aren't good pets. So many abandoned iguanas and parrots in the trade 😢

Great video Ed and Emily. Loved seeing the wildlife down in Honduras!.
I relate to Ed being nervous on the rickety bridge. I too am scared of heights.
