She has an amazing eye and is such a natural talent! We shot in the desert and apart from getting attached by wasps all day and bugs-it was a joy to work with top stylists,so the wardrobe was simply stunning!!!!The whole crew really did a great job,its such a team effort!
This is an example of how to do a video with little to no budget and what can come out of a simple idea....I think the whole thing cost me $500 and that went to the editor.I think its important for people to know that,its worth having a video to your song if at all possible,always try to do something that makes you stand out.

Vevo has another version of this music video. Look it up. AFAIK some artists have for promotion reasons or country-legality-reasons different music videos.
I wrote my comment about a year ago so I had to come back and refresh my memory... My gosh, WTF was she thinking when she watched the final edited version of this... or just briefly listened to it. This is one of the worst remakes of a song I have ever heard. You know someone is desperate when they remake their most popular hit. Like if MIA came out with "Paper Planes 2" or some shit. She totally destroyed a great song! And it was her OWN fucking song! Hahahaha

To be fair: I never enjoyed M.I.A. except for "Paper Planes" and "Born Free". M.I.A. somewhat stayed the same I guess. But DJ Rap did a change for good. You know you won't hear no Jungle tracks from her no more when she started modellilng. I didn't know about that Paper Planes 2 track though. Gonna check it out now. In regards to "Good To Be Alive" it's a little bit like "Bittersweet Symphony" to me. The song takes it time and progressess normally. Just good singing and beautiful violins. Nothing more is needed. Nowadays you get what she did in her remake: Skrillex-like over-effect-editing with cool chopped up wah-wah airhornsounds. She still does some cool tracks here and there but they sound so fucking commercialized as it is with John B.... not to mention since that album every music video of her shows her cleavage in another dress. Not that I don't enjoy that and I know that a music video is "just" promotion for an album, but there is no story-line. It's like every metal band that you see play in their music video. Creativity: 0%.

Yeah.. This is so hard to the ear.. Jus churning something out to keep up with the sound of the time.. And it's so dated.. The jungle tracks.. Still stands the test of time. Killer breaks and bass. Timeless

But there are so many re-releases, remasters, remixes, re-recordings.
So the "there is no point" argument doesn't make any sense.
That would imply that it would make sense to remix your old stuff to infinity.
Theoretically speaking this is of course possible.

@Merlin Erdogmus I agree the title is confusing. I also prefer the original version, but have noticed more and more artists that maybe are not as popular as they once were re-releasing their biggest hits to get back in the spotlight.
