Quite consistent in your finishes Steve. Considering you swapped the engine the day before I would say that is very respectable. Great stuff thanks Steve. 👍👍
Forty years ago, I owned an 1977 998 cc Austin Mini Clubman estate. I followed David Vizard's advice in his book "TUNING THE A-SERIES ENGINE " & polished & ported the head, had it skimmed a few thou, fitted a Reece Fish carburetter & straight through exhaust (muffler). The vehicle was quite a bit quicker & far nicer to drive. According to that book, there was much more that could have been done, but we traded it in for something quieter. I even purchased Clive Trickey's book "MORE MINI TUNING" as I thought about buying an MG Midget, but realised I was not up to welding rusty air.! The "A" series engines in your cars would reward you, if you don't already own those two books on Amazon. All the best.
@@ThisWeekWithCars Thank you. I don't think I saw the photo, but appreciate. The car has come a long way since I brought it out to Seattle in 2019 (as has the driver), but we still have more to do. Come on out and race with us in 2025!
Looks like loads of fun and tons of track time! I just did the math on the VRG weekend at Watkins Glen last week and want to get into it maybe next year in my 60 Sprite.
Great stuff. Not the quickest car out there (I've raced slow cars and know how it feels to be constantly looking in the mirrors after a few laps) but it goes very well. Ive owned and raced street midgets and mgb's and they are great fun. Cant beat some historic racing.
It probably had half the power of any other car there, it was the only FIA App.K legal car running that weekend. The grey Sebring used to be log booked car as well but they swapped in a 1275 among other things and made it no longer a legal FIA car.

Great action shots and good to see so many old British cars out on the track.
Nice to see the old cars race. Can’t wait for a good day to get my Yellow MG midget out for a trip in the beautiful English countryside 😊
It was great meeting you! Thanks for showing us your Innocenti too!
I enjoyed meeting you there too!

All the best.
That looked like a whole lot of fun on a fantastic racetrack!
Great showing Steve. Hope there is some conclave content coming as well.
Sorry I didn't introduce myself, love your vids. Great to race with you over this weekend.
Looked like a lot of pure joy!
Great racing with you. Glad the 2nd All Healey race was less of a yellow-flag parade!
I'm sure you saw the picture I shared of your car, thats a good looking Sprite.

I think there is some footage of you in the autocross in my latest video: ua-cam.com/video/7vhQ-HbKoh0/v-deo.html

Great to see the Spridgets used in anger 👍
That was great! Interesting that you swapped the engine the day before. Was that a last minute decision?
Love the video
Usual Midget/Frogeye issues, been there
How easy to get an entry?
Ace
Can you put a close ratio transmission in that those gears seem really long?
Tell me, did you get any sleep the night before?
Gearing looks ok..might be down on power..maybe suspension not quite compliant(too hard)..

Did the paint ever dry?
