next to Lucas Arts, Sierra made a lot of good adventure games. same the last one they made was the collaboration with The Old Gentlemen witch was the Kings Quest reboot
Love these games. You used to actually have to use your brain and think with these games. Would love to watch the new school of gamers try to beat this without the hint guide.
Don't you get more completion points by killing the Orat with the Spider-droid? ...or remembering to pull out hte Star Generator cartridge before boarding the Skimmer?
Recalling correctly, yes, you do get more completion points by killing the Orat with the Spider-droid. And yes, you get more points by getting the cartridge from the computer before boarding the skimmer, as it has the designs for the Star Generator. This is the point where you can get two different endings to the game. If you forget the cartridge, you kill everyone on Xenon. The opposite is true if you get the cartridge before leaving.
I wonder if the reason why the VGA remake was never re-released on GOG is because of the Goofy scream when falling, since that sound is copyrighted by Disney and the Space Quest series is currently owned by Activision?
cubex55 what part of this game did you enjoy? Were there some parts of the game that you didn't enjoy... When i played this i had a lot of fun. Space Quest 2 & 3 i didn't like because it didn't make sense that Roger Wilco had to save those guys from that planet. But 4 & 5 "The Next Mutation" I enjoyed.
I think Space Quest 1 VGA version is one of the best Space Quest series with Space Quest 4.
I LOVED these series.
Very cool. Thanks for making this and posting it. Im an old Amiga gamer. This brought back memories.
Wow, this is quite something different from my DOS experience. Very nice!
You missed out, this version came out alongside SQ4 in the early 90's. Both are awesome.

Kind of a shame dat Sierra had 2 die... I kinda liked Tribes... Wish there coulda been a sequel 2 Vengeance, since dat was a good story.
Just watched this during breakfest :)

Oldschool. :)
Doctor Who reference in the droid shop. Whoa.
1:01:29 It's Ultron as an easter egg, long before anyone heard of him, thanks to the MCU.

I think it's called Ulence Flats because Ulence kinda sounds like Uncle, and Flats is Flatulece,so basically,it's you're old uncle that farts alot :D
AwesomePower1234 Ulence Flats is literally Flats-Ulence reversed. No uncle involved.
Anyone else keep dying by the spider?

1:07:16 what was up with that, can you encounter him later somehow?
I had this version of the game but with simpler, more 8-bit music. Does anyone know which version was that?
The EGA version?
You had the original parser version from 1986
Original AGI version is the best.
...I prefer the AGI version...
The original EGA version of Space Quest had more character than this remake in my opinion.
