Sorry to be that annoying person, but Ann's ability to randomly distract demons for a turn works regardless of the gender of the demon. In fact in my playthroughs she charmed the lady demons way more than the dude ones lmao.
There is quite a big difference between gamefreak and atlus being that one owns the largest media franchise in the world and the other is a relatively much smaller company with nowhere near that income. Yes some of these things like lack of voice acting in social links and some lacking animations are annoying. At the end of the day they had a limited budget which no doubt will be higher for the next game in the series, considering the ammount of money and fame the studio got from p5. I have a way larger issue with the day 1 DLC Atlus does for every game they own.
Im aware theres a big difference between the two but p4 golden dold gangbusters wnen it came out, and a simple turning animation is all im asking for. No studio does it these days. Hell in kingdom hearts donsld and mickey just jump and spin mid air, which is cute but still obviously weird. As for the dlc i can agree thats annoying

In truth, the average model starts at the age of 16. Whatever your thoughts of Ann's design, it's actually realistic. Your issues are with the modeling industry, not the artists.

More to the point, Persona 5 is a tale of tricksters. The story needed a character whose outward appearance was efficient at misdirection. Seduction has been a long standing tool for theft and assassination. Of course, I play fighting games, so perhaps I don't give too much thought on this regard because many female character designs in fighting games are more obscene than Ann by a considerable margin. Her entire character is centered around her looks due to being quarter American, not a "pure"Japanese as it were. You're correct, they didn't need to make Ann a model, but why put extra work into justifying her role alternatively when writing her as a model gives the desired result with much less effort? Another thing of note is that after Kamoshida, Ann is shown to be the one in control of those following moments, a very important detail that often goes overlooked. She's never portrayed as helpless, as those who made the mistake of taking her at face value would discover in the worst way possible.

I have played all Persona games(mainline not spinoffs) and P5 definitely has the best gameplay out of any other game.But the best story and characters are in my opinion reserved for P2 innocent sin (seriously the story is wild mainly because of funny sunglass man)
Strikers can get really tedious with that platinum I know that I exclusively spammed jokers infinite ammo gun special for 3 entire playthrough so I could basically not use SP because of how infuriating it is when the team whines about being low Eternal bonds needs to chill

How in depth you go to each part of the game but being very focused and don't go making a point bigger than it needs to be. And how different the game is once you finish your first playthrough, about how replayable and how not replayable it is. It may sound weird but I love it when the things I love get constructive criticism as it means the people love the same things I love. One day. The only character I'd say that I completely fell off with after their Introduction arc and wasn't Interested In the slightest would have to be Makoto. After wrapping up the Madarame arc, I got really Interested In which direction the game was going to go In next, and when Makoto came to the stage I got really Interested In what they were going to do with her. That scene with Sae lashing out at Makoto still has a lot of Impact to this day and Is probably one of my favourite scenes character wise, but that's beside the point. As the Kaneshiro arc progressed, I started to grow really attached to this character and thought that I understood why people loved her so much, but then something started to make Itself very apparent. The game, for whatever reason, had this strange obsession with ramming Into your face how smart and perfect Makoto Is, which got obnoxious for me really fast. But hey, I'm not gonna write off her character Just for that, so I thought to myself "Maybe It's her Social Link! Maybe that's why people like her! " and so I started her social link and... I think It might hold the record for one of the most boring social links In the series for me personally. It felt like they created this really cool character that they were super proud of but forgot that this character also needed an actual social link, so they cobbled together one In like a month's time before release and hoped It would suffice. Making 70% of the social link basically have NOTHING to do with her whatsoever sort of Just killed a lot of my Interest for the character since the story didn't really do her any favours after the Kaneshiro arc, other than the game constantly reminding you "Btw, Makoto Is smart." Another think I wanted to comment on, although minor, Is how badly the fandom has butchered the perception of her Into a complex and unique character to "I want the protagonist In my bed" and It's really unfortunate. @The Macaroni Hedgehog With makoto i found it admirable that she just wants to help people, her social link is about her wanting to stop a student getting used by someone. That slap i brought up is impacted because it shows her rather direct nature, she's got a lot of little moments of shyness and stuff like that but her drive to do whats right is so much of her that i cant help but like its simplicity. I do agree her link can be boring as most of it is just talking about the girl its about but Anns is effectively the same thing and that doesnt bother me. Come to think of it Ryuji is a bit revenge a bit helping people thing so that tracks. Yusuke on the other hand is hard to get, maybe because his story is very similar to most hero origin stories of the dead parent leaving an orphan kinda thing so i found that less impactful because its almost stock at this point. His arch about finding his passion again is something i think we all can relate to, but it feels both drawn out and rushed at the same time, i cant explain it any other way. Like they added in the guy who offered him the art deal just to padd it out, maybe im wrong on that front but hey thats just me. As for him and futaba i like it, but its not exsactly the most engadging thing since thats mostly their dynamic it doesn't evolve padt that. Futaba only got more intresting as the game went but he just didn't

This wasn't really a problem for me In the end because his social link story kept me hooked right off the bat and I was really curious as to where they were going to take It. Every rank up with Yusuke was really entertaining for me, because he always ends up finding a way to get himself and the protagonist In the most awkward scenario humanly possible. I would continue on more, but I don't want to end up rambling on and on and make this comment longer than the actual video, so I'll stop It here

With makoto i found it admirable that she just wants to help people, her social link is about her wanting to stop a student getting used by someone. That slap i brought up is impacted because it shows her rather direct nature, she's got a lot of little moments of shyness and stuff like that but her drive to do whats right is so much of her that i cant help but like its simplicity. I do agree her link can be boring as most of it is just talking about the girl its about but Anns is effectively the same thing and that doesnt bother me. Come to think of it Ryuji is a bit revenge a bit helping people thing so that tracks.
Yusuke on the other hand is hard to get, maybe because his story is very similar to most hero origin stories of the dead parent leaving an orphan kinda thing so i found that less impactful because its almost stock at this point. His arch about finding his passion again is something i think we all can relate to, but it feels both drawn out and rushed at the same time, i cant explain it any other way. Like they added in the guy who offered him the art deal just to padd it out, maybe im wrong on that front but hey thats just me. As for him and futaba i like it, but its not exsactly the most engadging thing since thats mostly their dynamic it doesn't evolve padt that. Futaba only got more intresting as the game went but he just didn't

I could swear there's a part during the Madarame arc that Yusuke says that he's gay or at least suggests he's not sexually interested in women. Like when Ann accuses him of only wanting to see her naked or smth

Because anarchists dont sell well to a popular market, edgy teens with guns and the power of team work do. The series concept of taking back what society took from you without being a complete monster about it is something i like. Changing society takes more than just flipping tables showing people why they're wrong so they can fix the curruption they played into is a much better theme and lesson to get across

Hell there’s an entire sub philosophy that completely abhores violence of any means and that’s why they are anarchists as the state itself is a force of violence that monopolises it’s ability to supporters the people to maintain control

@jmurray1110 i mesn who else to break the status qoue but those who perpetuate it? Those in power need to change the ways in which thing opperate to align with the people not themselves. The theifs tell the people to make people accountable thats pretty impactful, taking babk whats yours but we need more than vigalanties, which is why the peoples hope is what gives them the power to stand up to a false god
