  • Hi this is the first video I have upload on this channel with more to come soon. In this video I have a quick run down of the car and a video of my son hooning it around which starts at 7.25min.
    I will be stripping the car down and rewiring it to show you exactly how i modified it in a later video!
    These are the motors/gearboxs I used:
    www.banggood.c...
    (This is a affiliate link any money made from this will go back in to more videos and my sons enjoyment!!)
    For batteries I am using 1500mah 4s lipos which give around 15mins run time - I have lots of them!! It would be still fast on 12v lead acid due to the 30,000 rpm motor as the standard car has anywhere from 10,000 to 17,000 rpm motors.

    You should make a mini "Ken block video". That would be hilarious. 😁

    Hi just seen this vid and subscribed.
    Amazing build BTW you've done really well.
    I'm In the process of upgrading my kids ride on.. So far upgraded from 6v single 12000 rpm motor to 12 v dual motor, wanting to swap them out now for 30000 rpm motors but Not 100% sure on how to go about wiring in a soft start motor to avoid 'the whiplash effect' could you please upload a step by step build video to give us all some guidance?
    Thankyou.

      Hi raoof khan I’m sorry but if I do a video it won’t be for a while!! Have so many projects at the moment. if you get the 30000 rpm motors make sure you change the wiring as the old wiring won’t handle the currant. I found running the 2 motors on 24v but having the motors in series is still fast and helps a lot with steering too. To run the motors in series you just need to use the switch and wiring that comes with the motors and switch it to the slower setting. For the controller to stop the whip lash effect you will need a controller and foot pedal if you can get a 24v setup/battery you can buy a 24v controller from a scooter or kids electric bike like a mx350. I will find some links of what I’m talking about but I haven’t tested them but they should work fine. I haven’t had any luck with drill tiggers as a controller they work for a bit then fail and they cost a lot for a good one!!

    Great video, I found it on banggood while trying to work out how fast these motors go. I bought my kids a kart which was supposed to go 10km/hr and it goes more like 5 or 6 tops. It's got twin 12v 16,000rpm motors so I was hoping these motors would be quicker, but I wasn't sure if they would be geared down for more torque and the same speed. How fast does your car go on 12 volts, any ideas? Thanks for answering if you see this.

    • @fixitmoditbreakit7982
      @fixitmoditbreakit7982  4 роки тому

      Hi there. Not sure what speed they would go but should be over 10kph. Could be a power issue, alot of cars have a currant limit on their pcb this could be whats happening or the batterys just cant keep up. If this is the case the new motors might not give you much more. I normally rip out all the wiring and rewire it with some bigger wire and put in the drill trigger for throttle controll + lipo batterys. You can just use the switch that is there you just wont have the variable throttle. Maybe just give it ago and see what speeds you get out of it.

      @@fixitmoditbreakit7982 Thanks for the reply. I did more motor searching last night and settled on 2x 65w RS570 35,000rpm motors.
      I was planning on using a brushed speed controller and 3d printing a throttle mechanism that adjusts the variable dial. I intended to use a speed controller that came with a twist grip throttle which I would have modified into a pedal, but they only go down to 24v and I just bought a 12V 12AH battery to replace the 2 almost dead 6v4.5AH ones it came with. If I had held off on the battery purchase I could have got 2x 12V6AH to fit in the same space. The drill trigger sounds easier and cheaper as I have an old drill or two. I looked at going 4S lipo but it was too expensive and I figured a 12AH SLA deep cycle battery should have no problems with an 11 Amp draw. I'm looking forward to rewiring and modding the crap out if this thing.

      @@randomname4726 nice man!! sounds like it will be a beast. I have a 3d printer and made up a holder for the drill trigger. My boy has got a bit big for them cars now growing so fast lol. Make sure you keep a eye on the motor temps!! I found them heat sinks with fans built-in for the motors help quite alot. My next plan is a 50cc petrol quad and pull out the engine and use the motor out of the trike from previous videos that I made, should work out pretty well. Hopfully i get the time to video the making of it. You will have to make a run video when its finished!!!

      Which is the best Brushed Motor(Dual 550 or Dual 775) to use in 1/5 Scale(9kg) monster truck, which can give both torque & enough speed!? Thank you!

    • @fixitmoditbreakit7982
      @fixitmoditbreakit7982  5 років тому +1

      @@Mithun-roy-vettath that would be a hard one for me to answer but I will let you know what I know. The motors that are in this car are 550 30,000rpm around 19 turns. So the lower amount of turns (meaning turns of copper wire in the motor) the more amp draw and higher rpm. Some people say a higher turn motor will give you more torque but a lower turn motor will still give you the torque but with a higher amp draw. the higher amp draw limits the motor from producing the torque if the power supply isn't enough like your batterys can't keep up or your esc cant deliver the currant needed. You will get more torque from a bigger motor and will be able to handle the load more ie heat, wear on bushes/bearings also brushes. You would be able to push more volts through a 770 to get a higher rpm. Hope this helps some how. This topic is quite large and you might be better off looking on a rc forum c
      Cheers

    what do think of 2x 12v batteries connected in series with 2 30000rpm motors. will it work?
    any advice appreciated.

      @fixitmoditbreakit7982  4 роки тому +1

      S.O.A I didn’t sorry mate but may have one soon!! With 24v you will probably overheat the motors and will need to rewire the car to run the 30,000rpm motors. If you went with 24v you could run the motors in series to give each motor 12v. Doing this really helps with steering due to being able to slow the inside wheel down while the outer side speeds up!! If you hold one wheel while to motors are in series you will see the other speed up works well. If that works well but you want more speed switch the switch (I think it comes wired with switch) and will put the motors in parallel giving them the full 24v. Then just keep a eye on the temps and smell to make sure nothing burns out. Hope this helps a bit

    HELLO, i ve just placed an order to aliexpress for 2 motors like you have, but i don t know what circuit breaker (relay fuse etc) to buy. the stock one is 7amps and for sure would not hold when the car is running with my baby boy in it. can you please tell me which one you have? thanks in advance, Cosmin

    • @fixitmoditbreakit7982
      @fixitmoditbreakit7982  4 роки тому

      Hi Cosmin it’s hard to say mate maybe a 20amp to run both motors? There’s a lot that comes into to play like wheel size all up weight ect. I would start small and work up until it stops tripping or popping fuses. Fuses are good as they are cheap and you can change the sizes easily once you find a good size fuse buy a trip in that size. With relays just get a horn relay around 50amps or higher should be fine. You will most likely have to change the wiring if you brought high rpm motors.

      Hey hard to tell what kind of motor you have but generally you won’t be able to use it. You would need a inverter to run the motor and then there would be a lot of inefficiencies!! Also that’s quite a high rpm motor so would need gearing correctly. There is a good video on different motors that can be used I will see if I can find it for you

    • @fixitmoditbreakit7982

      Hưng Trần Trí if the company rating the motors is telling the truth 12v will will spin the motor unloaded at 30000rpm. Under load it wouldnt get there. I haven't checked the amp draw yet so that could be your restriction with a lead acid battery. The lipo battery's I am using can discharge up to 150amp so no Restriction there
