Great craftsmanship and a nice clean factory for manufacturing. Assuming this was preassembly before creating and shipping as slate was not seamed nor felt top finally installed. Beautiful table!!!
That is solid wood!!! It just means it's not chipboard or MDF!!! Do you think a solid wood wardrobe doesn't have a hollow to hang your jacket because it's one solid block of wood???

Yep, genius you, spotted that the table is hollow. I'm sure everyone reading your dopey comment will appreciate knowing that sections of any furniture is hollow!!! I'm sure they were always wondering why their solid wood chest of drawers had a big hollow in them!!! If you get any thicker, they'll have to build a road around you, but UA-cam would be boring without you, exclamation mark, exclamation mark & exclamation mark.
