A LastNameFirst.tv short film feat. Koa Smith + Alex Smith, Travis Smith and Dylan Goodale.
In this arid African Desert, 1/5 of all the diamonds in the world exist. They were so common at one point that the locals could walk across the dunes on a full moon and spot them shimmering from a far. We went to this rumored place and found a diamond of our own.

Not if you come off or you're in on a particularly 'cloudy' (in the water) day , it gets sharky in there, hence the name... More seals, more sharks, more skeletons 😉 and that steam train looks faaaaast!
No sunblock needed just stay in the nice shady barrels all day .
Best surf video I've ever seen, and I'm a videographer. It's insane, and I get the pink floyd song breathe, because the go pro video is practically hallucinogenic. There was good mix of shots, some establishing shots, and had the drone not crashed, it would have been better. All mof the music was on point and the graphics + credits show a high level of sophistication..These are 2 minute tube rides- its unfathomable,
To this day hands down the best GoPro footage of Skeleton Bay, 1:45 seconds elapsed video time in the barrel at the most perfect conditions full on glassy not a drop of water out of place and wave is big and thick 🤙🏾⚡️
Skeleton Bay aka Donkey bay is close to the seaside town of Walfis Bay in Namibia on the west Coast of Southern Africa (Atlantic Ocean) Namibia borders South Africa in the south.
Come an visit us in this beautiful unspoiled part of paradise that is Namibia also known as the diamond of Africa.You will never forget the experience and the friendly people.

8:12 was probably the most incredible wave I've ever seen. That includes all the Jaws, Pipeline, Teahupoo, Nazare, Mavericks, the Right and so on. Driving 40mph and the wave keeps up with the car the entire time seemed unreal.

Long tube rides abound, Take your breath away tubes, great coverage guys really enjoyed watching Diamond of the desert. We used to wear hats in waves like that, the one that keeps his hat on the longest has to buy brunch!

Agree with others about the pov shots - seeing more of the spot and whats around that perfect hollow grinder is just as important. Big plus for starting of with Floyd too. thumbs up

the pink floyd makes it 100 times better
90% of the guys watching this wave couldn't make the drop. There's a wave in Hawaii very similar but a right. It looks so perfect from the beach but the drops are hellatious and the current goes 20mph down the coast. You're lucky to get 2 or 3 waves in a day with all the miles of running back up the beach and getting thrown on your head. I broke my ribs out there in a head high wave.
Don't forget about the big white sharks... A bunch of them out there... Hunting for seals, but maybe a surfer won't be a bad change in the menu...

I’m sorry but the first time someone used a GoPro to film first person perspective at SB it was cool. Every video and wave since looks exactly the same. You can’t see what the wait is actually doing, how the person is navigating the wave, nothing. Just a fisheye barrel. The only cool part is when you hold the camera toward you are behind you so we see YOU. Otherwise it could be anyone in that barrel.

From the places I've worked those sand dunes smell of Algeria or Morocco, added bonus of camels and Bedouins.. Dunno could be Namibia and maybe your correct..

Wtf how is this even real, is this on another planet, l spent 30 years scratching around in south east oz and one trip to indo, which was ok, but this, l wish l could be reborn in Africa and just herd goats or whatever and live in those sand dunes, and surf with koa and the crew over there at that fantasyland they call Skelton bay.
