In all my 79 years I have never owned a .22 magnum revolver - until today. Since I live in CA, although I own it and it's paid for, I have to wait 10 days to pick it up. Thanks for the most excellent review. It has made me even more anxious to shoot it.

Love it. I reload but it's nice to have a relative powerful lightweight that I can carry on desert walks and not have to save the empties. It's a nice all around compromise.

They are nice. I have one in 38/357. Great gun and very carryable(neat word). I've shot 2 coyotes with 357 revolvers but never with a 3 in. barrel...yet! It's a fun can roller at 75 yards.

I am a big fan of the .22 magnum cartridge. I bought a Ruger Single Six with a 6.5 inch barrel 40 years ago, and carried it a lot in the Mojave desert and the Sierra Nevada mountains. One of the things I like about it is the flat trajectory, making it relatively easy to make hits at a very long range. It is too long to use for concealed carry. In recent years I tried a Ruger LCRx for concealed carry, but because of arthritis in my trigger finger, it is very difficult for me to use double action. I also find the trigger to have a sharp edge and the hammer spur to be relatively small, so it is not very comfortable to shoot single action.

There is nothing like shooting in the cold and snow. Revolvers love it as it keeps their barrels cool longer. Neat little gun to have. I had one in .38 with the short barrel but now have the three inch barrel. You can carry these revolvers all day long everywhere without trouble and they will handle any trouble that comes your way.

Just wanted to say thank you sir. You have become one of my favorite channels, especially on the rimfires. I currently own a Ruger SP 101 in .357 magnum that I occasionally carry apendix,(its heavy) and a LCRx .38 special that lives in the cup holder of my truck along with a speedloader. Working around my place I carry a Heritge Rough Rider with a 6 inch barrel and .22 wmr rat shot to dispatch various unwanted critters. I also own numerous Ruger rifles, (good quality firearms!). Now comes my complaint, I never knew I needed to replace my Rough Rider until I saw this video! Even with the crappy trigger weight, this thing is a dream! I have always thought that a 3 inch barrel was a perfect length for a yard gun, and in .22wmr it is perfect! So now, I have to find one! Thanks Buffalo, I gotta spend more money! LOL! Keep up the good work and greetings from Arkansas.

I always appreciate your honesty, Buffalo. You also have a knack for clarity. Good on ya. I've got the .357 LCRx and enjoy shooting .38 and .38+p through it. Not so much the .357's. Arthritis bites me back when I do that. But I found, just before the freeze we're in, a grip called the "ergo" grip and put that on to see if it might help. I'll let you know how that goes.

@@richarde1355 Well, I thought it might be easier on my arthritic wrist and thumb. I think maybe my hand is too small, though. It seemed to help with the felt recoil at my wrist, but aggravated felt recoil at the base of my thumb. It actually hurt to the point that I used it for three shots and took it off.
      I sold the gun.

Just bought the 3" LCRx after watching your review of the three 22 WMR cartridges with a different gun. Your review of this gun is honest and spot on. Feed it some Federal Punch and it's a happy camper. I don’t mind it's "only 6". Or the heavy trigger. And i often end up pulling cases out of 38spcl and 357mag wheel guns i own. Heat expands the casing of any cartridge and they stick. Maybe a longer ejector would be good, but I don't care. For me it's a great piece for kit packing, or just target shooting.
Love your presentation of the weather at the beginning. Really sets the mood. Fine production and honest reviews!

I just picked up a LCRX 22WMR snub-nose. The only thing I was surprised at is the weight. I thought it would weigh a lot less then my S&W 642 but it's only a little under an ounce; that's with both guns fully loaded. I'm a fan of the 22WMR round. Thanks for the good review. I didn't find anything negative.

I have never seen a Buffalo Outdoors video that was a "Negative Review" of anything, that I can remember. I would say that, as far as firearms reviews go, Buffalo has consistently been an objective reviewer. Statements like "I like this particular feature/ It fits my hand perfectly/ I don't particularly like this item for the type of shooting that I will be doing/ Some people might find this item is uncomfortable when shooting/ For my use, I would swap this for.../ Overall, it seems to be a well built gun Or not" are what I want to hear when watching a firearm, component, ammunition or accessory review. The facts are stated clearly and the opinions are clearly 'labeled' as opinions. There are no opinions disguised as facts and there are no attempts to hide possibly negative features. Honesty and Integrity are obviously valued highly. On a side note; I have a very good friend who is the Chief of Police in a small, coastal North Carolina town who very much reminds me of Buffalo. He and I went through Basic Law Enforcement Training together and he taught me a lot about being objective and not "jumping to conclusions".

That is such a good looking gun. I love the LCR series. That is definitely a bit larger than the standard snubbies, but I have noticed the LCR's are a bit larger tham a J-frame or Charter arms- I can usually get away using a LCR holster for some of the others, but not the other way around.
I love the sneaky shooting around the ice covered pine trees lol- that steel never saw you coming!
I was out shooting a revolver in the snow this weekend as well :) My groups were not as good, but it was 24, windy and snowing. after a little while I couldn't feel my fingers. Thats my excuse anyway. I had 3.25" groups out of my Smith and Wesson 617 with garbage Winchester super x bulk 22 at 10 yards- I was shooting at 10 yards cause the target stand was already stuck in the snow there

I've done my share of shooting firearms (prob. 25%of Buffalo's) and My honest findings with reliability of pistol caliber cartridge's is of course .22lr 1or2 out of 500 or so were dud's/ .22wmr 0 out of 500 or so failed to fire/ 9mm 1or2 out of 1000 to 1500 were dud's/ .38spl-.357mag. 1 of 1000 once in a blue moon was a dud/ .45acp 1 dud is all I can remember. Just the honest truth as I've had occur in my last 20 or so year's. I'm referring to quality ammo. No cheap stuff ‼️As long as a Man/Woman Knows their weapon and has confidence in shot placement, I see No problem with .22wmr as a defensive cal. Thanks Buffalo 👍

I like having the ability to shoot both of these 22 rounds and only carry one revolver but I'll be looking at the 22 Magnum Ruger revolver because of its polymer/aluminum build, because the Tracker is a much heavier gun. I have to agree with most all comments I read. I own 16 Rugers But got the Taurus 992 with two cyl. it is 9 shot 4 inch. Bit on heavy side and doing again would get longer barrel. If caring only rimfire in woods, I feel better knowing I have 9 shots in double action, as hogs are something to think about hear in south Louisiana. I seem to find myself carrying a smaller lighter 22 LR and another larger cal. That just seems to be the way I roll.
If u ever shot a down deer up close with something like 44 mag. u know why I like the 22 mag to use for that.

The targeted groups was impressive as was the Evergreen tactical pistol course! 😁 I know the groups were only 7 yards but that is inviting me to want to try one. Great video my friend.
    God bless all here.

Yeah, definitely better than nothing to have. I wouldn't want to get shot with a 22mag. Bullet hole is still a bullet hole no matter the size 👍 That is a really good looking handgun!

This was a very good review and exactly what I needed to hear and to see. I do appreciate it when reviewers will go out into inclement weather to film. I'm in SoCal and our idea of "inclement " is when it is less then 70 degrees.

@@buffalosoutdoors I was looking to buy a snubbie to use with shotshells but couldn't find one anywhere. But I ran across this one and got it before someone else did.i did reference you about the ejector rod being too short.

I ran 8 kinds of ammo through one and I found the 45 grain Hornady critical defense was the best.
