At least where I live, Boba had a major Hype-Phase around 10 years ago and one would see a new Boba Place Pop-Up everywhere or existing restaurants would imolement Boba-Bars. Then it kinda mellowed down and those places started closing and there were only abt two left in the whole city. About a year or 1.5 ago now they started to be very popular again, and the popping up everywhere phenomenon (especially since a lot of existing places shut down due to covid) started happening again where you would now even find two Boba places only one Block away from each other hahaha
I’m totally obsessed with bubble tea, I first made my own a few years ago after seeing it on UA-cam. So I bought my own tapioca pearls and cooked them myself. As no where sold them here is wales. Until now. There’s shops popping up everywhere in Swansea. It’s so addictive. The same with Spicy rice cakes. I love them. Also mochi, not sure if you’ve tried those. But aldi does a cheap version of mochi ice cream. Stunnnnin! Better than little moons 👌🏻
Taz you might be interested into looking up something called sensory processing disorder (SPD) Many adults don't realize they have it and they do think it's inherited. For some people food textures are one of the major issues. I have it, as does my son, and for him food textures/smell/or the look of certain foods, were one of his biggest issues (and still is)
I’ve been to sticks and sushi, once to pick up takeaway, and a second time for a sit-down meal, and I immensely enjoy their food. The vibes are great and the flavours are so tasty. Expensive, but worth it for a special outing meal.
I'm here all confused why Taz went for a milk based boba, then it all makes sense when she says she got the vegan one! They looked amazing i need to go xx
I love boba! I’ve been drinking it since 2010 and it’s cool to see how popular it has become in the West. The Alley is okay, but CoCo is a better bubble tea shop. They have so many flavours.
Can you recommend some combinations? There are no shops where i live so i was going to get a kit online but its a bit overwhelming. There are SO many options and im worried i will make some monster drink that tastes like swamp water.
@@Charbond I’ve only bought bubble tea, I never made one before but a user added a good recipe video in the comments. I think it’s best to stick with the traditional for now. Milk tea and tapioca, you can get tapioca from any Asian food store. I personally love caramel bubble tea, so maybe you can try that and add some caramel syrup. I’ve also had the strawberry version with mushed up strawberries and tapioca. I hope that helps a bit. :)
Taz!!! Veteran boba milktea drinker would always recommend half sugar/ less sugar for better boba drinking experience! also, make sure you shake it real good so the sugar is all combined with the milk (all the yucky black thick liquid thingy is melted brown sugar).
Ou! I would love to buy your new merch! What size (for the hoodie and crew neck) are u wearing in the beginning of the video? Just so I could have size reference
I can't remember when boba start over here but it has been years. Try shaking it before you pop in the straw the next time you drink it babe. It will taste a lot better.
Taz is definitely the most GENUINE AND NICEST ON youtube! ✨✨ soooo refreshing, with no drama, no fights in the comments, and good content. I love you, Taz. Your videos make my days better ❤️
Here in Hawaii, Boba has been around for at least two decades (since our local culture is heavily Asian-influenced) so seeing it become trendy is somewhat weird but nice to see :)
Taz make sure with boba before you put the straw in to give it a good shake (or if you forget stir it really good after you put straw in) cuz all the syrup is at the bottom with the boba, you wanna infuse it into the milk/tea :)

OMG HI TAZ!!
THE BUCKET HAT IS SO CUTEE OMG 😱
They look so nice 😍
Love it can u pls heart me plsss
I love it❤. Hello from Serbia 🇷🇸
pro tip on the boba: if its too sweet for you, you can ask for 0 or 25% sugar. It turns it from a dessert into a refreshing drink!
This is what I always do when I got boba from chatime (especially) haha and also some extra ice to make it more refreshing
brown sugar drinks can't request any sugar level, unless the drink uses fructose
yup! i usually get 0 or little sugar with little ice.
With the alley's brown sugar drink, you can't change the sugar levels
Tip here: When drinking boba shake it to mix the sugars from the tapioca balls. Cuz if not you’ll be greeted by overload sweetness.
When drinking the alley they tell you not to shake it but instead they will recommend you to stir it nine times.
Ikr I was a bit shocked when she didn’t shake it haha
Same it made me So mad that she didn’t mix the boba
Don’t shake, stir it.
Came down looking for this comment - was suprised Taz didn't shake/mix it either D:
