Chuu don't ever apologize for your emotions. When you told us in this reaction it's okay to cry, we want you to apply that same advice to yourself. Yes, you are funny and kind but you are also honest and sincere and thank you for sharing your raw parts with us
"Take her to the moon for me. Okay?" Bing Bong's death gets me every time. And his voice actor also cried while delivering that line. The voice break is real.
Was talking about this movie with my mom and I was like "well I didn't have an imaginary friend but..." And she was like "yes you did" and proceeds to tell me a whole elaborate backstory about an imaginary friend I apparently forgot about😢
this film is honestly the best animated film for self growth of all time. every kid AND adult needs to watch this. it's insanely educational and entertaining at the same time.
Joy is the perfect example of toxic positivity. The problem is Joy is always undermining Sadness because she doesn't understand Sadness' purpose. In the beginning she said: 1. Fear keeps Riley alive 2. Anger cares about things being fair 3. Disgust keeps them from being poisoned And then she says "well I don't really know what Sadness does."
“But what is grief, if not love persevering?” I’m so sorry for your loss Chu. Don’t ever apologise for your emotions and how you express them. You’ll be okay ❤
Grown man crying is stronger than the man who doesn't show emotions, cause the crying man will let people around him knows his worth and doesn't afraid to the judgmental of society rather than a man who hides his emotions just to avoid judgments from the society. Heads up and stand proud
The fact that u find joy mean annoying to sadness at the start, when everyone i watched was agreeing with her, proved how emotionally mature you are! You know from the start that every emotions are important❤ hats off to u babe
Oh honey, men have a full spectrum of human emotions and (despite what society tells you!) are totally allowed to express them and cry! I’m “grown” too and this movie gets me every time 😭😭😭 Thank you for your vulnerability and guilelessness, it’s truly beautiful ❤ Love your reactions 🫶
You've seen Mean Girls, right? Joy's voiced by Amy Poehler, so that's probably why she sounds familiar. Also, I love how they portray how all 5 main emotions help us, not just the negative side of them.
And also Mindy Kahling and Bill Hader in which both of them ain’t coming back to reprise their roles for the sequel. Btw Diane Lane who plays Cherry in the outsiders 1983 voiced Riley’s Mom
Chuu never EVER say you actually authentically reacting (which is what we love to see, instead of reactors who just try to make jokes) “unprofessional”!! Your honest reactions are perfect.
Chuu: I’m not going to cry **1 second later** 😭😭😭😭 I have had losses these past few years and you’re right, no one really knows how to grieve and it’s so complex. Sending you all my love❤
YESS this movie was so important actually, it has helped therapists and parents show children how all of our emotions are important, and we can't pretend to be happy all the time because it negatively affects your mental health. Also just putting a name to our emotions since when we're young, it can be hard to understand our own feelings. I can't wait for inside out 2, i hope it lives up to its potential.
Crying isn’t weak or unprofessional, it’s human. It just goes to show that it must’ve been a very loving & strong friendship. You’re both very lucky to have been able to experience that 💗
Chu I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Grief shows up when it needs to and this film happened to help just a bit. You don’t have to apologize for crying on camera ever.
The way this film really hits growing up on the head, the changes and the way you eventually leave certain things behind, is actually so masterfully done and feeds it to kids well.
Watching this film when you are happy (Like I did at the cinema) and years later as an adult when I was very sad really changes how you view it. It is such a clever film. Looking forward to the sequel
Her talking abt missing her hometown made me tear up baddd. For a long time I felt bad abt being sad abt life paths that I didn’t or couldn’t take but after watching this it made me feel more reassured and not alone
How authentic you are is exactly what makes you so loved by all of us. That's why so many different human beings are here in your videos spending time with you; please don't ever think you need to behave or be in a certain kind of way to achieve something. If you achieve so much is because you are genuine! I can't wait to watch the hot mess part 2. it's going to be with teenage years! Sending you a lot of love from Barcelonaa
Nah man. This movie is literally about the danger of bottling up your sadness. Losing someone takes a huge toll and that sadness never fully goes away. So cry if you need to. Honestly it just made you more of a genuine person to me as a viewer. Dont feel like its unprofessional. Sorry for your loss. And sending tons of love and hugs
Don’t apologize for crying, I’ve seen this movie so many times and I was still sobbing my eyes out. My condolences for your loss, I’m so sorry about your friend.
Great reaction! I love how people are like “ stop doing this sadness” not realizing that thinking about Minnesota would indeed make Riley sad because she’s not there anymore. And everything that’s happening is Riley’s actual feelings and not sadness being annoying or whatever 😅
"I don't know why this movie is making me so emotional" says Chu, about a movie literally about emotions learning about the role of emotions. There's a reason Bing Bong's death is always on the Disney Try Not to Cry challenges. It's very sad. And you are allowed to feel (and show) sadness! It's ok! *big hug*
This is a great lesson in understanding how every emotion is vital. Joy/Happiness is not the solution to everything and cannot solve every problem. Humans are complex, emotional creatures that need to process experiences with feeling. Happiness is not capable of processing all these experiences on its own.
I'm so curious about what island of personality the crying at school core memory created. I imagine it as being something related to empathy or solidarity. We've seen the islands correspond to how she responds to things, so I like to think of future Riley as a person who, when she sees other classmates being embaressed, reaches out to them with kindness because of this core memory of her own embaressing moment.
I can see the island being about public speaking. If that happened to me at that age, a fear of public speaking would probably become a part of my personality
Chuu this is why we love you, you are real and put so much thought into every reaction. I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. Watching this movie definitely puts the way we process our emotions into a different perspective. Everyone grieves differently, so never feel bad about showing this beautiful and vulnerable part of yourself, that is why we love you
When I first watched Inside Out, I was 16. It taught me that it’s necessary to have different kinds of emotions to have a full life. I can’t wait until the 2nd comes out!!
Chiiiile I'm a grown ass woman and I was a mess in that theater! My God sadness is so necessary 😭 I think the movie is therapy for all who watch no matter their situation!
may your friend rest in peace chuu, don’t apologise for your emotions. i’ve been wanting to watch inside out for a long time now and seeing you upload this reaction finally pushed me to watch the movie so that i could watch your reaction to it after ❤️
I was 31 when this movie came out in 2015. I saw it in the theater, and I can quite honestly say that I had a steady stream of tears flowing down my face, at several points in the movie (ESPECIALLY the end, where Sadness takes over). Don't feel bad about crying during this movie. That just means Disney/Pixar did their job right.
the way sadness knows the importance of joy’s role yet touches her marbles anyway 😩 girl, get a grip!! also, did you notice how each character has a different emotion leading the team? mum’s is sadness and dad’s is anger, i found that so fascinating!! really nice detail
She touched it because it was the right time to be sad, when you remember happy moments that passed you get nostalgic and sad, that's why sadness had the urge to touch it, she did what she was supposed to do
@@h3llolime222 @ametistazz you guys, i know that was the point of her role, i'm not that thick lol as someone who gets emotional quite often, i found it funny how annoying it is both in the movie and in real life. sadness creeps up on you out of nowhere sometimes 🤷♀
I love that Angry put the idea of running away in Riley’s head and waited for her response. Then he said “she took it”. This is a very important part because it shows us that despite of having ideas based on emotions, we can actually choose to not make the action because we also are capable of thinking, and have liberty. I love that part, that shows we are linked with emotions but can actually work in managing them to act correctly
It’s so refreshing to see a grown man show raw true emotion, it disappoints me when I see people watch this movie and not feel anything because it effected my heart so strongly when I watched it the first time, I still cry watching it today. Lovely video man, there’s a second one that’s come out recently as well if you’re interested in watching
SADNESS IS MY GIRL. Growing up it was hard for me to express emotions in an Asian household. Now as an adult, it's my party and I'll cry if I want to. Sending you my love for your loss Chuu!
This movie is beautiful in the way it portrays how we remember certain events and how those emotions can influence our choices and decisions in life. I completely get where joy is coming from, almost as a way to protect Riley from hurt and feeling anything negative by constantly being at the forefront “Be happy. Be happy. Be happy.”. And always pushing sadness away, or ignoring it. Then you realize the reason sadness felt the need to start taking action, because it was such a big move basically taking her away from everything she knew and loved. She had to feel sad, she had to be able to grieve the life she once had. And what better way to do it than to open up about what was hurting her, in order for her parents to understand what’s going on with Riley. I think the part with bing bong really hurts is because “imaginary friend/s” are such a core part of childhood that when he finally faded away, it was like the final piece of childhood faded away. It was extremely bittersweet and made me think of people or places lost along the way of growing up. I’m so sorry for your loss Chuu❤️ if there’s anything right to do in this reaction, it’s to cry. Crying and being sad is OK❤️
CHUUUUU! Do not apologize! It was so freeing watching you just completely dive into your emotions. That's what this movie was meant to do! We love you so so so much
I am so sorry for your loss Chu, wishing you all the best and sending you lots of love❤ and just to add a lot of people still see animation as being exclusively for children but these types of stories are universal so thanks for sharing!!
I knew this was a movie that would get me emotional, but I honestly was not prepared for it at all. We all cried many, many tears and any time I watch a reaction video to it I still cry. So we are here with you and your emotions. And I am truly excited for the second movie!!
Grief is a tricky thing. It comes and goes in waves, and there’s no predicting what might set it off. I’m sorry your friend passed away. May the memories of your time together, and the support of loved ones ease the weight on your heart. ❤️
brother, dont apologise for your reactions, thats why we love you because you are emotional and honest with how these films affect you x Also, much love, arohanui on the loss of your friends. I lost my bestie earlier this year and grief is such a burden, but one that is best shared with others to help you keep going. Thanks again for another great reaction, i was expecting a "why are you running?! why are you running!?" when you said that in the BingBong introduction scene lol
This movie should be shown very early in a child's life to understand how important our emotions are. So sorry to hear you lost your friend. It is okay for you to cry when you remember your friend, to express your grief properly. That is the point of this movie. There is a place for sadness to allow you to move forward with your life so you can eventually find joy when you remember them, in the time you spent together again but also to appreciate your own life. It is not realistic to be happy all the time. There will be things that are sad. We appreciate true joy more when we have known true sadness. A beautiful film.
Grief is funny that way. We all go through it & process it differently. But for those great losses of those people that were very close to us, sometimes the grief can come back to us at random times long after we’ve healed, and that’s perfectly normal. It just shows how much that person impacted us and how much we loved them. Like this movie taught us, let the sadness in.
I always love your reactions bc you always get so into whatever you’re watching and it’s like you’re right there with the characters, while also making me laugh lol idk if I’m overstepping here but: your friend is clearly so loved!! she will live on through you, because love doesn’t die! when you allow yourself to miss her and tell us about how much you’re struggling with losing her, you honor her memory and the love you two shared!! you’ll meet again in Heaven where there won’t be any death or pain (I’m adding this part bc I know you’re a Christian like me) I’m very sorry for your loss, but just know that she lives on through you and all her loved ones, who will always remember her - “what is grief, if not love persevering?”
I'm so glad that you understood pretty quickly that Sadness is important. She's my favorite lol. I wouldn't call me depressed, but I have periods where I get a bit down for no reason and I tend to view things in a bit more darker way, so she's themost relateable to me. To me Joy represents toxic positivity and forxed happiness. See how she felt pressured by mom at bedtime, unknowingly of course so I don't blame mom, to smile and be happy because she had stayed their happy girl throughout the issues they had.
As a kid who moved around a lot as a growing up, when I tell you I was a MESS during the ending scene when Riley finally breaks down!! I ugly cry everyyy time don’t ever apologize for getting emotional on here ♥️ we love you Chu!!
i'm a new subscriber. A couple of things: 1. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that your memories with your friend will heal your heart. 2. The reason why I followed you is BECAUSE you're so emotionally intelligent (and funny as hell). Nothing wrong at all with a grown man crying. ❤ 3. The cutaways to Tokyo Toni saying wellllll sorta kinda gets me every single time 🤣 Keep doing your thing! Love love love your content!
Thier just suppressing sadness, thats why shes getting the urge to touch the memory's ❤❤❤❤ sadness is the emotion riley needs to feel🥺 feeling sad is healthy. Never feel bad for feeling sad 😊
Thank you for expressing your emotions so vulnerably with us. Please don't ever apologize or deem it unprofessional. I'm an empath and so watching you express your true emotions was very special, and I cried just as much with you too. A release that was needed. May your friend's soul rest in deep love and peace
we come here for the emotions and appreciate you sharing your feelings with us. Inside Out is a phenomenal film and even therapists use it as a tool to help children learn how to deal with and accept all of their emotions. we love you Chuu and I am so sorry for your loss! ❤
Chuu, if you don't stop apologizing for crying!!!! Grown men have EMOTIONS!! And part of what I love most about you is that you're not afraid of them. I love that you cry when your heart is touched because it's such a real reaction. Although I find it so funny you'll say you won't cry, but then picked the most emotional films! 😂 Self sabotage. I love you the way you are and I hope you do too.
chu please don’t apologise for crying, we adore your authenticity through your videos so please don’t feel like you have to hide your emotions from us, we love you and I pray that the grief from your friends loss gets easier to bear ❤️
I cry every time I see this movie. It was my grandmas favorite and she passed away in April. I’m sorry for your loss grief is so difficult i cried with you thank you for your hilarious reactions your videos always bring me joy
I cry at the exact same part you did Chu. I'm dealing with a loss from last October and that part also makes me think about the fading of childhood and the fact we'll never get that time back and I'm working in therapy to recover from childhood abuse and manage PTSD. I wish your friend a peaceful rest and I wish you all the healing and happiness.❤thank you for your content
Chuu, first of all, I'm so sorry for your loss. Friends are our chosen family so it hurts just as much when we lose them as well. Second of all, never feel embarrassed for being emotional on camera. To me, the best reactions are those where I can feel the human connection to the story. Its comforting to know that reactors and their audience can connect from having similar reactions to the same story. It shows how similar we can be. I wish you the best and thank you for this wonderful heartfelt reaction 💜
Thank you for sharing Chuu.. seeing other people process movies and their emotions is part of the magic of reactions for us- laughing and joking is fun but just like this movie teaches us, we need to embrace all the feels. It helps us all relate and process our own feelings!!
From someone who has lost friends too, this helped me process. Grief isn’t a straight line, it’s like a ball inside a cup. When the ball touches the sides of the cup, that’s when you feel the pain of loss. At first, the ball barely fits in the cup, it’s always touching the sides. As we heal, the ball shrinks, and the pain resides. Until something moves the cup - a song, a smell, a memory, an anniversary, a Pixar movie maybe - and the ball hits the side of the cup, and you then feel the pain of loss again like it’s brand new. Love is a mixture of joy and sadness, and when the ball shrinks, the rest of the cup is filled with joy - the warm memories, the way the relationship changed your life, the laughs you had, the stories you shared. All the good things about that person & your relationship with them fill the space the grief had filled. I’m sorry for your loss, and I hope your cup is filled with joy, and that the ball gets smaller over time. You’re a good friend, sharing your loss & how much they meant to you keeps their memory alive. Your girl Sadness knows what she is doing.
Chuu don't ever apologize for your emotions. When you told us in this reaction it's okay to cry, we want you to apply that same advice to yourself. Yes, you are funny and kind but you are also honest and sincere and thank you for sharing your raw parts with us

Breaking down during a PIXAR film 🎥 is just part of the territory… and actually, a rare, precious gift: to suddenly understand deeper truths.
I always love your reactions bc you always get so into whatever you’re watching and it’s like you’re right there with the characters, while also making me laugh lol
idk if I’m overstepping here but:
your friend is clearly so loved!! she will live on through you, because love doesn’t die! when you allow yourself to miss her and tell us about how much you’re struggling with losing her, you honor her memory and the love you two shared!!
you’ll meet again in Heaven where there won’t be any death or pain (I’m adding this part bc I know you’re a Christian like me)
I’m very sorry for your loss, but just know that she lives on through you and all her loved ones, who will always remember her - “what is grief, if not love persevering?”
So excited to check this reaction out!! You always put a smile on my face 🩵
This movie makes me cry every single time i watch it so dont feel bad for crying!
Great video! 💓 I don’t think it’s possible to watch this movie without crying. It gets me every time.
This has become my favourite channel. All the best from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
This movie makes me cry every time it’s so good and I swear as of gotten older I fell in love with it more
As a kid who moved around a lot as a growing up, when I tell you I was a MESS during the ending scene when Riley finally breaks down!! I ugly cry everyyy time
don’t ever apologize for getting emotional on here ♥️ we love you Chu!!
i'm a new subscriber. A couple of things:
1. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that your memories with your friend will heal your heart.
2. The reason why I followed you is BECAUSE you're so emotionally intelligent (and funny as hell). Nothing wrong at all with a grown man crying.
❤
3. The cutaways to Tokyo Toni saying wellllll sorta kinda gets me every single time
🤣
Keep doing your thing! Love love love your content!
Thier just suppressing sadness, thats why shes getting the urge to touch the memory's ❤❤❤❤ sadness is the emotion riley needs to feel🥺 feeling sad is healthy. Never feel bad for feeling sad 😊
Don't apologize for crying
it's not unprofessional
it's exactly what people came to see
ESPECIALLY for this kind of movie
Thank you for expressing your emotions so vulnerably with us. Please don't ever apologize or deem it unprofessional. I'm an empath and so watching you express your true emotions was very special, and I cried just as much with you too. A release that was needed. May your friend's soul rest in deep love and peace
"I don't want to cry"
Famous last words 💜
I'm so sorry for your loss, it is always ok to cry and I'm sincerely hoping for healing and peace for you
we come here for the emotions and appreciate you sharing your feelings with us.
Sadness sounds like Phyllis from the Office! I recognised her voice too! Loved this reaction 🫶🏽
i'm in the mood to cry again so lemme pull up a chair!!!
hey faveee 🫂🫂
Aww Chu, I cried with you! Sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your emotions with us. It's why we love you.
Chuuzus validating us: “it’s okay to cry”
A few moments later: “I am a grown man crying on camera” 😭💀 bby it’s okay for you to cry too! 🫶🏾
I'm so sorry about what happened to your friend. It's okay to cry...
You should accept your own sadness too, like Riley had to accept hers. ❤
I'm sorry for your loss Chuu. Losing a friend is so hard. They will be with yoy always. May their memory be a blessing.
Joy, Envy, Anxiety, Anger, Embarrassment, Ennui, Disgust, Fear, and Sadness are the new emotions in Riley's mind.
Your empathy is what makes your reactions great. Never apologize for that 💖🫂
