you mean leaving the layers of the plywood showing, right? ...it's very typical to just leave it showing in Korea for built-in custom shelving. I must say, i was surprised the first time I saw it.

Everything made out of plywood and rough edges showing, that would never be accepted in Europe (or maybe anywhere else?). That door too, basically two big sheets of plywood on a frame with braces. Such a hollow door will let a lot of noise through I guess. Great workmanship, that has to be said. I got the impression this was installed in an office space. So then the functionality is way more important than the looks. Making this design from solid wood would make it way more expensive.

Years later I cut it down again to fit My Mother’s Wall.

This project can be hugely improved if you make it from multiply separate boxes. It will exact same expensive and much much much... much more loadable. Watching this wideo i understad why i do furniture projects by my self. ;) Thank you.

Awesome! Would love to see a floating desk made from piece at 7 minute mark. Floating meaning attached to wall without any legs. This cabinet reminds a little bit of a piece by Dania. Yours is better though ...
