Don't get me wrong, I adore the google now launcher for it's functionality and use it myself, but recommending to disable briefing for "less background loading" and recommending google now launcher at the same time is like: "don't eat pizza, it has to much fat, but eat burgers, they taste great".

I think you don't realize or don't know Google Now Launcher is the layout changer from default Samsung to stock android marshmallow.

I personally think Nova Launcher is one of the best things you can use on an S7. You can make the icons far smaller and remove labels, as well as increase the grid size, it uses up the screen space far better and looks cleaner.

This is so far off on what I expected.I imagined the KERNEL beast mode which you can get if you're rooted.Needless to say this video was a dissapointment.
this guy was like "just disable the bs it will work" well I rooted my S7 edge and b4 I did when I disabled all Verizon Apps, that still took my data -_- so I rooted it and now my phone is beast I even Over clocked it XD

You know, most of these are actually good for most android phones. Turning off the google now card, turning swipe animations off. And I didn't realize this, and its truly hidden kudeta that I never realized for years until now, you can set how many background processes run in the background in the dev options. That seriously helps eliminate major lag, and is why iOS always felt much snappier. Not anymore :D Even opening programs running in the background, take just about as long as opening from being closed. So I prefer them closed.

I like that Samsung included a andriod 6.0 theme,which gaves you stock andriod.Add Google launcher,you got full stop andriod. Smart Samsung!

Am I behind with language development? As an Englishman, I don't understand why some Americans say, for example: "I'm going to go ahead and download..." when "I'm going to download..." is perfectly fine. For those who can't understand English... "I'm going to download..." was the first part of the normal sentence which 'theoretically' had logic and meaning to each word and was not laced (had added into it) other meaningless and irrelevant words.
Hope that makes more sense now.

Freaking AWESOME information. I carried a flip phone until a couple of weeks ago. While familiar with computers since ms-dos, I'm new to phones. LOVED the information in this very instructive video. Like most computer wizards I've encountered in my life, you are very quick with the information. Thank goodness for the "pause" and "rewind" buttons ! ! I couldn't for the life of me get Google to offer fingerprint sign in. The rest of the fingerprint info, along with the rest of the information, was helpful. Thank you very much.
by BEAST MODE you mean 1% faster? you have to root your device to get true BEAST MODE.

Rooting turns off a security measure in the Phone's OS. If that can slow down your phone the CPU must be like 0.2 mHz.

Let's go ahead and start with not saying "let's go ahead" ever again ? The number of times it has been said in this video has been enough to last all of us a lifetime.
On the contents: it isn't about activating beast mode but about standard optimization, and not even for an S7/S7 Edge specifically but for any Android phone. An S7 Edge is being used for showing it, granted.
But still my verdict is: click bait.
Yeah right, because we bought the best and fastest android phones so we could disable all the eye candy. Tip: In the animation settings, instead of turning off the animations, slow them down. It give it that iPhone smooth animation feel. You're welcome.

Is it a requirement to say you love stock android more and use material design wallpapers for everything to be a tech guy on UA-cam? Literally everyone does it and it drives me crazy.
+Seth Williamson Dude lol, just try stock android. It's just buttery smooth. Manufacturers like to put their skins on top of stock android, and while touchwiz is probably one of the best skins on android, there's something just so smooth and clean with a stock android look. I could give less crap about what other tech reviewers think lol. This is just how I feel. Oh and did you catch my wallpaper at the end, definitely not material design, material design gets pretty boring if you ask me. Hope you enjoyed the video though!
+iTalkTech I agree with getting rid of TouchWiz. I was using my S7 and trying to leave things stock. I noticed the phone would lag at times, switching screens it would stutter. I thought it was an app running in the background, then I tried a different launcher, I use Nova Launcher. Never lags anymore. It runs quick and I love the functionality. I would love it if they just released an Pure Android S7.
+iTalkTech but what you seem to forget, 'stock Android' is a form of a skin, when buying a Samsung or an HTC, it simply has a different 'default' as with buying a Nexus device.
I've handled many different devices myself and I have to say, the S7 Edge feels much snappier than any handset I have ever experienced, and that's with TouchWiz.

+Big Mo Agreed, stock Android on a phablet would just basically make it a bigger phone with no features you take advantage of that screen size. That's why the note series has so many features because of TouchWiz, it's not just a bigger galaxy, it's a feature packed phablet. Otherwise it would just be like an iPhone 6s plus, bigger and nothing else.

use a wallpaper with more blacks to save a bit of battery, since amoled displays turn the pixel off when it should be black to get that pure color

Everything except the animations, it may be quicker but it looks and feels more stuttery cos there's nothing to hide the time it takes to load stuff

Enable : Force GPU tendering, Turn on 4x MSAA, turn off hardware overlays, limit background process (3/4 more processes at most), Show All ANRs.

so in which episode are you planning on "turning on the beast mode"?
animation actually makes a smoother transition between task. although you did cut the amount of command if you turn off your animation, but once in awhile your phone will lag and the animation will make it seems like it doesn't lag, because the amount of time that it lagged is covered by the amount of time that the animation took to finish. if there is no animation, when it lags when you tap on some application, you would think that it doesn't register for a second, while the animation starts immediately after every command so it look smoother even when its lagged. that's why iphone always look so seamless, they've done this tricks ages ago and fooled people thinking that it never lags. besides, turning it off makes it looks so choppy. it will pissed you off when you have enough lags, because there is no phone that don't lag. its just my opinion.
turning animation off will result in not smooth recent app experience. animation duration scale is responsible for this behaviour

I don't need to do this on my S7 , I have the Exynos version and with no carrier bloatware so the phone is fast as hell . This things you do them on low end phone to make it faster not on a high end phone . If you are heaving performance problems (wich I never had anything from what you experienced with my phone) it'sbecause you have the shit Snap820 CPU .

you should also bring up good lock on the Samsung store. it replaces the pull down notifications with a more stock look, along with the lock screen. its made by Samsung, so it actually overwrites the entire system UI. The multitasking by default is weird, but just by going into the settings of the app you can change it to stock android. its really an amazing app.
I forgot to bring it up. the multitasking thing is a brand new update, so I don't think any UA-cam videos will include it.
My S7 is beast even with Touchwiz. Finally I don't have to install any launchers again like on phones with 1GB RAM

Most important for beast mode is to root it.
when I save an image from Justin's site and set it as my wallpaper the image is larger than normal and looks pixelated. how can I get the image to show at normal resolution so it doesn't look like dirt?

Asus ZenUI Launcher is by far the fastest feature rich launcher available. Before it was even available to the public i was cracking it over from my tablet to every device I own. Try it.

im not android purist or touchwiz lover, so i lrave my phone on stok them. stock here is not vanilla android butthat came from OEM i use touchwiz when using samsung and use Xperia theme when using sony, it feel that they tune for the phone and make it special.
beside whats the point of having stock android theme when you on s7? except that tou really look the way stock android looks there is no reason to change the theme beside touchwiz is fast now.
