A BMW only needs a proper maintenance, just like you do to yours Mr Sambo. I owned a BMW E60 520d it performed very well and had no problems cos I maintained it very well. but I did change the front shocks for a Bilstein ones and the front discs, vibration damper Pooley, water pump and a windscreen washer water pump after seven years and my car was like brand new in terms of performance the engine never had any oil leaks and never had any oil consumption problems. I had to sell it due to circumstances but I still cry for my car cos it was in a very good condition and seeing you enjoy your own makes me remember mine. But soon I'll get a newer more powerful X7 M50d cos I like the magic of a BMW engineering on their diesel ⛽ engines.

Apart from the thirsty N54 engine, the car was a delight. I have recently brought a 320i M sport. Same like this car. It has mileage of 320 000 km. I have been travelling long distances with it and it shows no problem. The only problem was the tyre. I had to fix wheel alignment and till today it’s a very good running machine. I would say BMW can build quality cars! The engine is running smooth as new. But mine is petrol. I don’t regret buying that car honestly! I got it for R49k. It also saves. After buying it i realized most people are afraid of BMW bcz of petrol. It doesn’t consume at all. For headlights go with H4/H7 120W LED bulbs. Those things make night into day. A quick way to see really really bright lights is they come with their own VBooster, it looks like a small box before the bulb which boosts power to the bulb than the standard circuit allows.
My friend. Have your automatic transmission serviced at ZF. Of it's a ZF, ZF will service it. They change the transmission sump and filter for it. Makes a smooth ride afterwards.
I drive Amarok DC and replace globes with Hella SilverStar on dimm and coolblue also Hella on brights (H15 due running lights) and very satisfied. My wife own i10 so I try (luckily) no name brand H3 LED but change also back to Hella Coolblue and impresive. Both equipped with foglights and there I use Chinese globes with blue color and satisfied. Good fuel consumption for that old ranger but yes 320d are/ was already in that yrs a car to look at , as a VW/Audi enthusiasts also 2.0 TDI B7 was good on fuel. Enjoying the trip and car.
looks like your halogens are aimed too low, more the left side, so having correct aim can also help with new bulbs too. there are 2 gear/screw type things on each headlight housing, which when turned can adjust the beam pattern horizontally and vertically, regardless of the headlight leveller inside the car
I know someone who did that adjustment... oncoming traffic now complain coz the headlights seem to be on bright whilst they're not... major improvement on visibility I can say!
Hilltop has dangerous curves but I love it. The stretch between Badplaas and Barberton also has lovely curves and nice stretches in between so you can cook, especially when you're on a bike. I've always gotten better fuel economy with Shell V-power diesel. Engine oil also plays a major role as well, Shell ECT C3 5w30 gives me the best fuel consumption, engine runs quieter and it's BMW approved in fact Shell is the current supplier of BMW lubricants, they moved away from Castrol. I average 5.3 when cooking proper between Durban and Joburg, but after an oil change I've gotten as low as 3.7 when taking it easy on the open road. The best fuel for the 20d is 50ppm and not 10ppm, 10ppm makes your injectors louder and your car doesn't have as much punch and that affects your fuel economy negatively. I've tested this theory multiple times. It seems to work okay on a Polo 1.9 TDI though.
This video makes me think twice about my E90 320i which, l already put on the market for sale, last month l took a trip from Randfontein to Musina and it did not disappoint about 660 KM.

If you're buying a German car out of maintenance plan it's good what you've done. Rather something you can buy cash or have a very low instalment so that you can do the maintenance rather. I have a 2004 Merc C220 cdi. Almost on 350,000kms and still looks and feels new. I average 5.4 litres per 100kms from Joburg to George and 5.7 on the way back. No major repairs at all. Just shocks and some bushings. It doesn't even have rattles despite it having been on gravel roads. Those were the days of German machines. Now it's not the same
I bought a Renault Megane 2 Expression 2004 with 147000km for R29k at WeByCars in 2021, I used it to travel to Kokstad from Jozi and Limpopo on more than 3 times return trips, and still today, it is moving. The car is just encountering minor issues. It was the money. I later that year in October purchased 320i F30 2016. This thing has cost me over R50k to repair so far. That includes the water pump, thermostat, fuel pump, turbo coolant pump, turbo coolant pipe (connecting to turbo), fuel pump module, and oil cap. 😥

Good one morena. Enjoyed every bit of it.
It's that "uzofa" for me when that silver polo overtakes him on a double solid lines😂😂😂😂😂🤦♂️🙌
5:12 haha at least you have tools. I have absolutely nothing not even jumper cables. I have a 325i E90 with 310 000km; loving the E90 videos.
Your content morena is out of the ordinary. 👌
