    Thank you for covering so much content, and not having a long intro to your videos, ads, talking endlessly, and rehashing your entire haul. I have subscribed to other resellers who routinely waste my time with conversations they have with friends and family members that only frustrate. Keep up the great advice and info, along with your hauls!

      In a pinch, if you were using the turtle in your own home rather that selling, you might be able to use a stiff wire--at least until you find the right size pin.

    Etsy seller hobbiest here - things that are true for me too:
    1. Brass cranes - repeatedly sell for me, as does brass deer and brass geese
    2. Copy and modify - definitely saves time and effort!
    3. Artworks (I haven’t sold crewel) - small oil paintings are the best for me
    Haven’t tried sets of things but will look at my inventory to experiment! Thanks for the tip.

      Yay! Excited for your future selling journey! One of the biggest mistakes people make starting out is just buying random stuff. Hi Andi! I love your videos! I found a milking stool for $5 and sold it on FB Marketplace for $35 and thought that was great! Crazy the prices you get! I can't sell sets of candlesticks either. I agree the brass ducks don't sell . Love this type of content. Can't wait for another:)

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  6 місяців тому

      I'm so glad you enjoyed it. And your stool flip is still a very good profit! Etsy buyers seem to be more comfortable paying higher prices, probably because there are a lot of designers that source on there for clients. That's why I love the platform, I mark things higher and that makes sourcing a little more flexible.

      My pleasure! If you don't want to start an account from scratch, you could just try adding a few items to your existing Etsy art shop. Ive seen people do this. They just update the branding/visuals. That way buyers see you already have reviews and sales, which is a hurdle for new accounts.

    Great video Andi! I'm a vintage Etsy and booth reseller too. You've given me a few things to think about! I'm over 1000 Etsy sales but still not ready to ship intl. I have done a few when asked by customers. Can you share what countries you currently sell too? Or do you have a video on intl sales yet? Love the idea of grouping like items. I think I will do that on some of my similar smalls as they come around for renewal. YES and buying and selling the same/similar items! I sell tons of Revere Ware pots and pans, the copied listing literally takes a few minutes since I already put the hard work into my titles and tags!!

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  5 місяців тому

      Wow - over 1K sales is fantastic! For international sales, I just opted in, so I will ship really anywhere the sale happens. I mostly ship to Europe and Australia, but I've sent stuff to Botswana, Korea, etc. Most international sales will first ship to an Etsy center and then they attach all the country specific shipping labels. BUT as you probably have experienced, it can take AGES for things to clear and deliver. And customers are usually very naive about how long it will take. And shipping updates from international carriers are not always as transparent as ours. I've never had anything go missing but I have had things take months to clear customs or customers not realizing that some postal offices will hold international packages for pickup rather than delivery.

    The thing that makes my basket cost a lot to ship is because they are so big. Like with the handles. Man just so much to ship for me in Tn. They’re over sized. 😊😊😊

      Yes, some items can be so pricey to ship. And sometimes there is even a cost difference between shipping from your home address vs. PO Box.

    Hi! Just curious if you pay for the shipping on items or does the customer pay? That makes a huge difference on profit. Thank you!

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  5 місяців тому +1

      I offer free shipping on all my products. Etsy prioritizes listings with free shipping in search results. I usually add about $10 to the item's cost and that usually covers it.

    Listening to your shipping prices makes me wonder what I’m doing wrong. I live in WNY and I use ground as much as possible using Etsy as my shipper and my customers are paying anywheres between $10-18 on average . Very frustrating because I feel like this is a deterrent for sales

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  5 місяців тому

      It's probably not you, just your zone and where you are shipping to. I ship a lot to Washington and California so that tends to help my prices. Have you tried buying labels through Pirate Ship? Sometimes I will compare and contract pricing that way. They get good rates too.

    Do you buy crewel/embroidery if it’s not framed?

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  5 місяців тому

      Typically I don't because I try not to buy anything that's a project, which includes framing items. I'll make exceptions for my own stuff, but I try to only buy items that are pretty turn-key.

    Just curious why your pricing tends to end with 8, like 48, 58, 68 lol

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  6 місяців тому +3

      It's a retail pricing strategy. Ending things in 7,8 or 9 signals to the buyer that they are getting a discount, because the amount is just under the higher price. For example, $48 can feel like they are paying closer to $40 when it's actually closer to $50.

    Is Etsy like EBay to activate sells you have to list constantly?

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  5 місяців тому +1

      Listing regularly definitely helps sales, but I usually list in spurts and often make the same each month.

    So I have noticed shipping prices so high for certain items and then the price of the actual item is way lower than others. Is this how some sellers get the same price? Is this a thing?

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  5 місяців тому +1

      Ohh yeah this strategy makes me crazy! Sometimes it's hard to look for comps because the listing price is so low, however if they don't offer free shipping on that listing then I immediately know they are majorly padding the transaction. Seems weird that this strategy would work give how much people expect free shipping these days.

      @@AllPutTogether That's definitely where I go in my head with the 99. Since making this comment I started to mix it up with my pricing. I'm employing the 80s now lolol so far so good! I sold two Disney vintage items within less than 5 minutes of listing that ended in 89! Magic ✨ lol I feel like ending with odd amounts like 86 89 and so on also make the listing stand out a bit too maybe? Whenever I see really random amounts it always get my personal attention, so I'm going for it. Thanks!

    • @AllPutTogether
      @AllPutTogether  6 місяців тому +1

      For me, I can't seem to sell them. It's all about cranes and roadrunners for me. But it also could be that my prices are too high for those ducks and that is why they don't sell.
