    If Bhishma would have been king ,Mahabharata wouldnt have happened , he was the most able ruler ,but his mentality didnt evolve , he was still stuck in the past era (Treta Yuga). Lord Krishna was a phenomena , and thats why he is considered an Avatar of the Dwapar yuga , his only aim was lok kalyan , come what may , no promises , no friendship , no weaknesses mattered ,what only mattered was the good for the world.

    There is no more room for even a single arrow ! This beautiful painting is the represents the reason for, hard to believe, exaggerated stories of itihasas and puranas. Truth, Philosophy and rationality are lost in the garbage of uncontrolled emotions.
    However, these very same emotions and not rationality, impressed great values in all Hindu children to make them the most civilised and cultured.

    During this period of Shantanu's reign, Ganga saves Vasu from Samsara and leaves one son to "rake" all sins for all. Bhishma managed to glorify Bharatv Varsha by his behavior.
    "Because mother Ganges emanates from the lotus toe of the Supreme Personality of
    Godhead, Anantadeva, she is able to liberate one from material bondage…" (Srimad
    Bhagavatam 9,9,14).

      Bhishma was a greatest warrior and also he had possessed the boon of iccha mrityu (death as per wish) so he can't be defeated. When Shikhandi (Amba in her previous birth) come in front of him, he dropped his weapon because fighting a woman was against the rules.Taking the advantage of the opportunity Shikhandi pierced him with an arrow, after which Arjun shot Bhishma with thousands more. Because of the boon he couldn't die immediately he lived on the bed of arrows for 58 days.

    All videos are awesome and very valuable. Just a suggestion on pronunciations such as Dharm is Dharm, and not DharmA
    Like wise Arjun and Yudishthir and not Arjuna or Yudishthira, Kauravs and not Kauravaas.
    Also, it's Bhagwad Geeta and not Bhaagwat Geeta.
    Bhaagwat is separate puran and pronounced as Bhaagwat.
    Hope you take it in positive manner. As we want the names of these legends should be pronounced as they were and without adding AA at the end of their names.

    • @muo1kor
      @muo1kor 3 роки тому +7

      You are right about Bhagavat Gita, and not Bhaagavat Gita, but the other pronunciations you suggested are only correct in Hindi. Original Sanskrit pronounciation is Dharma, Krishna, Arjuna. Almost all Indian languages retain this in the Sanskrit words except a few Northern languages. Modern Hindi lost the final vowel (called Schwa) from the original pronounciation.

    • @siddharthshekhar909
      @siddharthshekhar909 3 роки тому +2

      @@muo1kor no, the correct pronunciation is Dharm ,not dharmaa , Krishn ,not krishnaa . Arjun ,not Arjuna. These are anglicised pronunciations. In sanskrit Ram is written as राम ,krishn as कृष्ण ,dharm as धर्म . Ram is never written as रामा ,krishn is never written as कृष्णा .

    • @muo1kor
      @muo1kor 3 роки тому +7

      @@siddharthshekhar909 wrong again. Some languages using the devanagari script lost the difference between राम् (Ram) and राम (Rama) and the romanised form Rama is not pronounced as रामा but राम. Modern Hindi pronounces राम as राम्. The southern languages even adapted thier alphabets to pronounce Sanskrit words better. And they, along with many Northern languages (like Odiya) still retain the correct pronunciation. If you are still not convinced, I suggest you grab a copy of the work by पाणिनि. The sounds of the Sanskrit language are explained in detail.

    • @siddharthshekhar909
      @siddharthshekhar909 3 роки тому +2

      @@muo1kor राम and राम् have the SAME pronunciation . Ram. It is not Rama .These pronunciations were brought in by the British who could not prounce krishn so they made it Krishna. Laxmanaa instead of Laxman. Same was the case with cities . They could not pronounce ' lakhnau' so they pronounced and spelled it as ' lucknow' . Merath as ' Meerut'. Kanpur was ' Cawnpore' in British days.

    • @muo1kor
      @muo1kor 3 роки тому +5

      @@siddharthshekhar909 I suggest you look into how other Indian languages pronounce Sanskrit words and not just English. Then read the Ashtadhyayi by Panini. I have nothing more to say. Good day to you.

    • @parmmohan4603
      @parmmohan4603 3 роки тому

      It was his piousness that lead to his demise. He stood by the Kingdom even when Duryoudan was evil and greedy. That is also why he perished in Hell. Bishma was not good at governance. His advice may have been useful and right but his decisions were not. This is extremely important because it is right action that is more important than right knowledge. You can actually see this in other religions and their failures.

      @@parmmohan4603 perished in hell?! It is mentioned in the video ,that he attained moksha . He had taken an unshakeable pledge to stand by the throne of Hastinapur and he kept his pledge .
