How to sculpt a 3D snake onto a stainless steel tumbler using polymer clay. Materials used: - Stainless Steel Tumbler - Sculpey Polymer Clay - Sculpting tool set
Grrr, where is the rest of this? It looks so cool here but I'd love to see the next steps! I have sooooo much polymer clay to use up and since I'm new to tumbler making, I'd love to see the process you used after this! Very cool!
Look forward to doing this...Question: How fragile is the snake after baking? If I were to glitter the tumbler, do I need to take into consideration space needed for the extra bulk of the glitter? Thanks for your response!
wouldn't it cause issues with the seal to bake the tumbler? I want to do this but I'm going to attempt to remove the snake and place on a fresh tumbler that goes to the customer. Except I can't wrap the snake all the way around probably if I do that I'm guessing.
Awesome jobs! just was wondering so its safe to bake the tumbler and you didn't have any issues with the insulation? I want to try this I just need to know.thank u
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I bought apoxie and are going to attempt the snake on a double wall acrylic tumbler. What would you suggest as an adhesive seeing the cup will not be epoxied? Resin or e6000? Thanks!
Hey! Since Apoxie Sculpt is a moldable epoxy, you won't need anything else to adhere the piece to the cup. Once it's cured on there, theres no taking it off lol
Thank you for your help! My husband was super impressed with my creation for him 😍
Thanks for the tutorial! Appreciate you being willing to show the process for your amazing work
Glad it was helpful!
Omg your tattoo 😍😍😍

Thanks you so much for teaching us!!
Can we get a part 2 of you finishing this
part 2 will be posted soon!
Do you always sculpt on a blank before moving it to the final tumbler? Is it okay to bake in your every day oven that you also cook in?
Can you set the snake aside say for like a day and come back and finish or what do I need to do to be able to do so
Can’t wait for part 2!
Hey Kenney would you be able to do one with stitch. I love the way you teach you take the time to make sure we get it. Ty

it does not negatively affect the tumbler to bake it. Part 2 will be uploaded soon which shows me popping it off the tumbler to transfer

Great video! Do you sit the tumbler on anything or directly on the rack?
You mentioned it was clay that needed bake. Did you bake the tumbler?
yep! the whole thing in the oven
Does it hurt the insulated part of the tumbler being in the oven?

Thank you! I’m going to test it out, wish me luck!
