@ALEXFVHS, Chevy says both concepts would be priced in the low-$20,000 range, so slightly over $20K. We've added a link to our story about the concepts in the video description. Check it out for more info.
As of now it's just a concept and the interior hasn't been designed yet. No word on when it'll hit the market - and how much it might resemble what you see here.
The ones that are interesting are at the end... So basically they're bringing back the same niches of the J and N body's they gave up on around 2005 or so. One looks like it could be a Cavalier again, and although there's no Olds or Pontiac, that other one could very easily be a Skylark if they put the vertical bar grille on it.
The Tru 140S looks to me like an 8th gen Civic Si Coupe coupe trying REALLY hard to look like an Audi R8. Not necessarily a bad thing, it does like kinda cool, just my opinion.
Its about time chevy is trying to step out side its box and build something that's not my dads crap sadan. Handa has been doing it for years with the 2 door civic.... please for the love of god just build something cool with integrity!
concepts that will never see the light of day and if they do they won't be half as cool as what they just showed you.....you can buy a Sonic RS it's not a pipe dream
You want an idea of what the next camaro will look like? That last car was it. Lame. It does not look anything like a sports car to me.....nothing like a muscle car. Its too sleek, not beefy. You noticed he said there is nothing retro about it. Thats where GM is heading. Sleek cars that don't look beefy and muscular.
130R like a corvair or baby ugly Camaro. Come on GM! WHAT do you not get? You have the Buick line of beauty. Can't you offer a nice 'blend'of a sporty car with luxury as well? Seems it's always either, or. The Genesis is much nicer & I'm a Chevy person. Sad!
wow... the Code and the Tru should swap drive trains. put the rwd on the code, then take the FWD Code and drive that ugly p.o.s into the grand canyon. then fire the designer.
DAMN YOU CHEVY!!! Sell these already, I can't hold out much longer!!!
Just got myself a Sonic LT - wish I could afford the RS. Love it.

IT'S 2019, HOW ABOUT A UPDATE !?!?!?
As of now it's just a concept and the interior hasn't been designed yet. No word on when it'll hit the market - and how much it might resemble what you see here.
130 r with the rear of the 140s= epic win
Tru 140s all the way!!! ID buy it in a heart beat.
Should have made the Tru 140S rear wheel drive too!
I like the styling!
@nismofury It's possible Mr. Reuss misspoke. The RS gets the same 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder making 138 hp as in other Sonics.

correction *put the RWD on the TRU*
do u guys thing chevy thru would be under 20k or over?
I think this car will end up like the Nomad concept They show you something cool that you really want then they give the HHR
he also said "Echo-Tec" when its "Eco-Tec"..
If they took the front end off of the white concept and put on the front of the sonic it would make for a much better, more sporty looking car.
The 140S looks like a Lamborghini. I'm getting this car. When is it going to be sold.
Bravo
The 130R is the way to go, if you agree, join us on facebook:
Please build the Chevy Code 130R
Stick AWD in the Tru 130R and you got yourself a buyer

Chevrolet Tru 140S. Ohhh GOD. Do you hear me ?
140s please black with black wheels...Thank you chevy i will gladly trade-in my sonic for this beauty...
That 130R is a BMW killer.
if the chevy true 140s really looks that way it will be a big seller if they dont down grade to a modern look then it would suck.
Chevrolet's 1-Series....

Code
Make the Tru 140S. Don't make the Code 130R and stop making the Sonic and the Spark. There I just saved your company.
