Drove this car a couple times as a rental- very fun little car 👌to drive compared against what Chevy used to have before🤮. Probably could recommend if you can find a good copy.
If you have the turbo, replace the oil feed line with a current double o-ring one. They also run extremely hot and since there's not temp gauge just know it will wear through all those plastic parts quickly after 90k miles or so. Endless
+ engine mount issues & replacement. I've replaced the 3 of them once , and the front right mount 3 times! Also, coolant and oil mixing problems during 8 years.
My 2012 sonic had everyone one of these issues.i babied this car but it still gave me problems.im on my third battery.replaced the coolant housing twice.window button just started acting up.had to replace the coil pack.had to fix the brakes .engine light stays on .this car sucks man
Yep your so right my 2016 Chevy Sonic came with no electric windows roll up windows ugh..Only 70 k miles oil leak in the valve cover …Replaced battery and now I think my radiator blew ugh 😩
1. First Problem, was a quick but pricey Bosch Part 2. Got ahead of it and swapped it out 4. Passenger side window motor has been replaced twice and switch once 5. Thermostat housing exploded due to it being plastic which I upgraded to metal. * Faulty Water Pump. Chevy never gave a heads up that the sonic and cruzes had a recall on the water pump. ** Stop using Dex-Cool I switched to Yellow and have never had a problem since and its been 3 years after the failed water pump.
My problem on my car is that all doors lock on their own at random. By just opening the door or closing it or even by closing the windows. I changed the battery on my remote key, but nothing changed. I don’t know what is the problem and it is getting me crazy.
It’s driver side front door lock actuator. I had the same problem and I looked tirelessly through the internet for a fix until I saw someone say that the actuator was the fix, so I tried it and it works.

Coolant and oil mixtures wtf so that means blown head gasket problems a complete Chevy nightmare

Love how the replacement housing is NOT made of plastic, yet the OE one is?

My fan wouldn't turn off for at least 5 minutes on my Peugeot when a coil would fail or was getting weak.
