You could if you turned off A+B Smash attack, though in Ultimate the property that had fire attacks instantly unfreeze opponents is gone. It'd help wrack up damage, but it'd be hard to true followup from when they break out of the ice, I'd imagine

I'm really curious about the rage blaster too. My guess is when you set % in the training menu it sets both. So what happens if you damage just Popo and have Nana use it, or vice versa? What if only Popo is damaged and has over 100%, and Nana picks up the fairy in a bottle. Can you hold onto it and then throw it at yourself?

Yeah, Nana has different percent than Popo, the higher the percent, the more moves she can do herself. Means, if Nana is around 90%, she can do blizzard by herself
I'm not sure, but I think the iceies have two different percentages. The one you see on the bottom of the screen is the main icey's percent (popo's), but the secondary's (nana's) isn't shown. However, these percentages aren't always the same, which is why Nana and Popo sometimes get launched different distances. In training mode, the set percentage sets the percent for both iceies, so that's why rage blaster does full damage. Nana and Popo are both at 999%. But when Nana is healed, it only heals her, not Popo. And because Nana's percent isn't shown, it appears that nothing happens. Just thought I'd point that out, as not many people know about it.

I tried with the banana and it's so easy lmao. While landing, hit "A" for [throw](nair catch), land with another "A" for [jab](throw), and before the end of jab hit "Side B" for (squall). Then just drag them over to the ledge and grab -> [fthrow](fair) (hold shorthop arial and hit the stick towards ledge at the end of squall).
It seems like Nana using the Rage Blaster isn't about Popo's percent, but the fact that Nana has her own hidden percent that was also set to 999% in training mode. I say this because the Fairy Bottle only worked on her, which would only happen if she was also above 100%.

People are lucky they took out the fan item after brawl, ICs had a literal infinite jab with double fans, I would spank people to 300%+ and keep them locked inside
Was hoping for a bit more on practicality in matches as I've labbed this a bit. Anyway. When holding an item (Pac fruit, Diddy banana, etc), you can get a free neutral desync out of throwing the item due to the difference in endlag between, say, fair + item throw or fsmash + item throw. The climber that will get the first action after desyncing will be the one initially holding the item.
The reason most healing items don’t affect the main IC’s % when used on/by the secondary IC is because both ICs have an individual percentage. (i.e. Nana can have 100% while popo only has 2%) not sure why the healing sprout affects both tho
If you press A+B and shield button at the same time but hold A+B nana will do a desync smash attack really quick. You can desync in like half a second.
I'd guess that the Special Flag was quickly found in testing causing problems because Nana herself does not have a stock count; she can only respawn with Popo. This is not a problem with the Bomber or any other item. If this were the case, it may have just felt unnecessary to give Nana the explicit ability to restore their teammate's stock rather than their own.

IC would really only get item combos off of characters who use items, so I don't think this will be used until we are much further into ultimate. As is, Ice Climber Combos are much harder than any other game, and I'm expecting this to take a while.

Once I was playing with a friend in arena, first we played baseball in smash and then we tried to play the normal way, but we forgot to turn items off, I chose random character and got the Ice climbers, and my gameplay was destructive with a double beast ball throw

I LOVE Ice Climbers with Items! I wanted to make items work with them, but just couldn't. Never did learn how to desync them.
