I noticed that when someone gets launched the color of the smoke that comes from the player indicates who launched them
And if you play tourny mode and play as the same alt as the opposing player your player will beep red for first player and the other player will beep blue. It happens during your invincibility frames

Maybe they are just the older currency. Those coins were the ones used in Mario 64 after all, it’s safe to assume that they just changed their currency. Or maybe those same coins are still and instead of being a different type of outdated currency it’s just an older design, like how pennies and other coins have different years on them
It could be like star coins in the actual game, where they aren't counting as the currency and as a collectible.

I think that's on purpose, since you need to still be able to see him even if there is a reticle
I believe this happens any time Bowser is behind a wall as I've seen his silhouette behind the trees in pac land and behind the flashy decoration behind mementos as well
Random fact for ya: The coins from Mario's up-b vary in size depending on the *opponent's* size, not Mario's. If the opponent is huge and Mario is tiny, the coins will still be huge to match the opponent. Could you test this with Luigi?

The coins out of mario's up-B are one of three: star coins(which dont add up to the coin counter) purple coins and blue coins(which have seperate coin counters not shown on golden plains).
The golden plains government doesn't accept coins from Peach's castle.
They are the coins from SM64
Regular coins: Mushroom Kingdom currency
Star coins: Special world currency
Purple coins: Space currency (or a higher denomination of Mushroom Kingdom currency in Odyssey)
Blue coins: Delfino currency

Here’s a fact. If Joker is in his Shujin Academy uniform and has Arsene then gets screen KO’d, then during the animation he will have on his normal mask instead of his glasses.
I was looking at the animations for shujin academy joker, and I noticed the glasses turn into the mask when arsene gets summoned/recedes. They probably did that because the glasses are just a substitute for the mask when using the shujin academy alt, very interesting!

-On the duck hunt stage the dog acts as a platform, but he’s behind the grass, so when you look at it in camera mode the character standing on him just floats there.
-The Super Mario Maker stage won’t let you use the camera in the same way most other stages would
-Some stages have hazards that can be compared to items that can spawn in on other stages, like the bumper on Peach’s Castle or the POW block in Mario Bros. and Mushroom Kingdom. It makes me wonder: what other stages have hazards that can be easily compared to items?
-On ladders, Bayonettas aerials cannot be held to last longer.
-You can’t use shooting type items on ladders (like ray gun, staff, rage blaster, fire flower, etc.)

Go to Spirits mode and fight toad.
You have to use the basic mii brawler that is on the fighter select screen.
The player's and the Toad spirit's battle ui will be different.
The player uses the in-game model in the battle ui. The toad spirit uses the artwork from the fighter select screen.
The toad spirit even sticks out the box like other characters do.
The player's mii doesn't

I noticed that too when playing through World of Light.
Not only that, but CPU Mii Fighters in any spirit battle will always use their HD renders for their portraits. Meaning that their portraits will not display the cosmetics that they have.

In stamina mode, Terry's Go meter activates with 30% health left. Would using spirits that increase or decrease health have any effect? For example, a match with 100 health would activate the meter at 30 health. Would equipping a spirit that boosts health to 125 cause it to activate at 30 health or 37.5 health? And on a related note, if you are damaged, will you be able to heal back to that 125 health or be stuck at 100?

if you have 999 HP, it starts at around 100-150 HP (I don't remember which)

Weird fact with ROB. On golden plains, ROB only has the hitbox to collect one coin on the bottom of his character, even though he clips through the top coin. I can see how I worded this might not make sense, but here is a simpler explanation.

I think Mario Up B doesn’t effect the coin counter because they aren’t normal coins. The coins Mario gets in his Up B are star coins.

After parrying a projectile, it's no longer considered a projectile and so can't be reflected
This can be seen best with joker & Arsene. Normally using down B on a projectile would cause it to be reflected. However, if joker parries the projectile first and than uses down b, Arsene will do a counter instead

I don't know if it's patched out and it may be that you already mentioned it in one video but if you go into practice mode with Luigi and slow the speed down, the grab range shortens. I don't know if it's only a thing in the "frame by frame" mode.

You should check other taunts that spawn models, like Snakes, on the Duck Hunt Stage. For example, Joker’s taunt spawns Morgana, and Hero’s taunt spawns a Slime. Maybe they are also not flat, like the cardboard box?

Hey PK, not sure if you recieved my latest comment, but I've been trying to answer a simple Smash Bros question recently - that being the maximum damage that Mr. Game and Watch can do with Oil Panic (without items, rage, etc.). My best has been around 57.9%, due to damage being stronger sometimes when you fill the move with a 2 level projectile and then a 3. I got past that number twice to my knowledge, but I wasn't able to replicate it, and possibly it was a fluke and i added the percent wrong. Additionally, in previous games, there has been a cap to how much damage he can do with oil panic, and I wonder if there is a cap in Ultimate as well. In short, how much can it do - and is there a cap?
Donald Creswell there is a finite limit for normal games, and there has been a video that showed if it didn't have a cap and could deal as much damage as possible. In the unhacked version of the game though, maybe spirits, custom balancing, custom smash and items could increase that number

Yes. It's also possible to tie in stamina mode if two characters hit each other on the same frame. This will trigger Sudden Death, where both players have 1,0 HP.

This is just something random I realized, but in a squad strike if Kirby copies his opponent's ability and the opponent then dies ,causing them to switch to another fighter, Kirby loses the ability....but If Kirby copies one of pokemon trainers abilities and pokemon trainer switches pokemon, Kirby doesn't lose the ability....random but I thought I'd point it out

Hey PK! So, I found this spirit set using queen metroid as the primary, and then any landing lag down spirit and instadrop spirit as your support. This creates a sort of melee feel to the game and a lot of characters get some insane stuff. Shiek has an up air infinite that starts at 60%, all of the marth clones get insane combos off of nair, and Ice climbers do dumb ice climber things. This would work REALLY WELL for a combo video and I would really enjoy seeing one! Ik you don't like spirits but please?

I found a glitch the other day, if you play with smash Meter in stamina mode and use ice climbers final smash when they are low hp, the final smash's effects stay after the ice climbers die. It stays until the match ends

At the end of a match when the surviving player is still able to move, but slowly, something interesting happens. If you try to do a dash dance during this time, it seems to be a “perfect” dash dance. That is, every frame it displays the character looking the opposite direction. I feel like this is because of the way the game registers inputs while the game is slowed down.
Ben Robare this is possible with frame by frame too, and in the non slowed down version of you flick the stick back and forth quick enough you can do something along the lines of that and create a whole load of smoke because of every frame there being a turnaround animation.
I'm not sure if this has been said but u can get ur shield broken while ur invincible (such as the star)
As far as I know, bowser junior's rapid jab is the only animation that is not a direct loop that doesn't require repeatedly pressing buttons
Does the Tomodachi Life stage look different for each player in an online match?
Some projectiles completely miss Little Mac when he's charging his down smash because he leans a bit backwards (z axis).
I tested this with Dark Pit's arrows after angling them a little bit upwards after shooting them and they don't hit little mac at all.

Does grabbing an item with villager’s net prevent the net from also grabbing? Can you grab both a player and an item at the same time?
If you short footstool hop off of an opponent, you still get the short hop multiplier on your attacks, even if you had initially full hopped off of the ground before footstooling the opponent. The reverse is also true: if you had initially short hopped off of the ground but full footstool hop off of the opponent, the short hop multiplier will not be applied to your aerials.

A random fact is that if you hold a direction then you grab while still holding it. Then throw with the c-stick in that direction(where you were holding it while still holding the direction too) you jab before you throw for some reason
5:48 I would guess that Snake's cardboard box being "forced 3D" is probably a quick-fix to a problem - Snake and the box are separate objects, so if you "2D Squashed" them both while on top of one another, you'd get a big mess of flickering, z-fighting polygons. Rather than add a complicated fix involving render priority (or something) they just flagged it to not get 2D-ified, which leaves plenty of room for 2D Snake

Fact: there are a lot of moves in training mode that do 14.4, like heros jab with psyche up or perhaps pac mans melon, theres a lot of them but I dont understand why 14.4 out of anything
Single player games multiply damage by 1.2. This means those moves do 12.0 which is a nice round number

I saw while testing in Stage Builder with Terry, that you can perform an Aerial Buster Wolf if you go through a portal while using Buster Wolf.
It's grab functionality still works as well, meaning you could essentially grab an opponent on ground or in air if you position it correctly. I'm not sure if the explosion from Terry's hands also damages nearby opponents.
I have a question about about taunts on 2d stages.
Since snakes box is 3d does that mean that other taunts like greninja's water or Morgana from joker's taunts are effected?

I don't know every characters taunts but if any use an item that isn't connected to their body please let me know!
Curious fact, if you constantly change directions while charging pit or d.pit's Arrow, you can stay charging it a lot of time. Also, if you get hit while you are doing this, a bugged arrow will be stuck in your hand

Mario's Up-B not giving coins on Golden Plains kinda does make sense, because if you look at the coins the move spawns they are different than the ones on the stage, more resembling Star Coins.
If you use byleth neutral B and turn around while using an item the bow appears sideways in the opposite direction that you shoot (depends on the item that you use with the pokeball it works)
Not sure if it's been mentioned before or if it's been patched out already but
In the Mementos stage, if you adjust the speed for it in training mode, the pitch of the sounds in the background will change (like the little meows you hear when the bus spawns in)
Another random fact :
Most of the fighter spirits are represented by models from their original game but in some cases like Robin, they don't. For Robin I think it's because his very first ingame 2D model (outside of his combat model in Awakening) comes from FE Fates so it would be kinda strange to his this model as a fighter spirit since it's not his original game
And there is probably a lot more cases like this...
Regarding Robin, it's because there is only one official full-body render for the character, and it's only for Male! Robin that came from a Fire Emblem art book.
This is, however, not including Fire Emblem Heroes, which has official full-body renders for both versions. Which is really odd to me, because they not only included a song from Heroes, but also took the voice lines from the game for Black Knight and Tiki's Assist Trophies.
What's more, is they actually DIDN'T use Heroes to voice over Lyn, which is incredibly odd since Smash! Lyn has a much more mature sounding voice compared to the young sounding voice Heroes has portrayed her.

It is a little disappointing that the coins don't count towards Golden Plains, but if that really affects your OCD like it does to me, just remember that Mario's Up-B coins are the SM64 and Mario Party star-shaped coins, which are different from the main platform series's single dash-shaped coins. So maybe this confirms that those gold coins are actually different in canon terms? Just like Kingdom coins are all different from each other despites being all purple
You had mentioned that the Star KOs didn't come out at a certain launch speed. It'd be cool to see what those statistics are. What percentages, or if it's specifically a launch speed thing. I'm curious.
It's weird. When you mentioned that Mario stage, I thought Hero's giant ability would be a nightmare there but I didn't even know the stage had a rule related to giants or that you were gonna mention Hero. My guess is that they only banned super mushrooms because they're more common than the other ways of becoming giant & having people become giant so often on a stage where being giant is basically a ticket to a free golden from would ruin the stage.
About the sticky arrow glitch, You should try it with Simon/Richter‘s axe , since King Dedede’s Gordo has a hit box while it is stuck Simon/Richter’s does not like the arrows of link.
I've done a little testing with Pit's Down B, and it seems to be a little broken. With Mewtwo, Mii Gunner, and Samus with a Franklin Badge (probably others with a charge shot as well), reflecting a fully charged projectile twice against these characters will both reflect it and break the Guardian Orbitars (when you release Down B, they'll shatter). The hitbox for the projectile will be gone and it'll pass through the one who sent it.
When I tested with Hero's Kafrizz (Neutral B) and Bounce, Hero's reflector will break first. Hero doesn't take any knockback though, only about 75% damage.

Maybe the flattening effect of duck hunt (the stage) is only combated by taunts with items separate from the characters, that said is Morgana flattened by the stage?
Fact:
Playing Wii fit, I used side B and there was a Palu. The wings hit the ball as it spawned and the it pushed the ball back in accordance to wind hitbox (also u can try to see if other palu moves with wings have wind hitbox). So the ball moves back with the wind box but then when Wii fit actually moved her head to where the ball would've been hit, the ball stopped from its wind box momentum and stood still in the air behind Wii fit. Not only the fact but you can also test what other moves are affected by Palu's wind box.
