Cassowaries are generally less agressive than a lot of people think, They are large frugivores who are wary of their surroundings and will try to intimidate you before they attack so if you just walk away calmly you should be fine, They aren't merciless monsters.
People over exaggerate how dangerous they are. They definately can be dangerous but they're a bird and not even a bird of prey they're not likely to attack unless cornered or threatened. Giving them space when you see them and staying calm will eliminate most chance of attacks. They're likely at their most dangerous when they have eggs or chicks to guard
@@JonathanTheChaetops just because a bird doesn't fly doesn't mean its not a bird. Penguins, ostritches, emus, and a lot of other birds can't fly either and they're classified as birds.
Considering cassowary are frugivores i wouldn't be worried, Their agression is usually overstated since they are very clear with their warnings, If you get stabbed by their claws it's most likely your fault.

Imagine if one of those creatures somehow were to find it's way to medieval Europe. What stories and legends would people make about it
Man I wish time travel was real. Then someone could sneak some cassowary eggs into a medieval farmer’s chicken coop.
