The real Katong Laksa is at Queenstown Shopping Mall. Store owner is the twin sisters prepare whereby their father is the disciple of the original Katong
Ya I cringed when she butchered the language. Anyways the real reason why they call it janggut laksa is because the owner had a big mole with a hair growing out of it. The fella iconic. They disturb him and call him janggut!
There are 3 "Originals" that started around the same period. My great grandparents were friends with 2 of them and often shared their stories. Apparently only 2 are still around - one is called George's Laksa if I am not wrong and the other is Janggut Laksa. According to my great ma, Janggut closed down for a few years because of financial difficulties and one of the employee started 328 at almost the same location. 328 was good last time but now the standard dropped sadly. Always loved Janggut and Yishun one, original or not these 2 are the best to me. Great video!
You didn’t try Sungei Road Laksa (different from Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa)? It’s over by Jalan Besar and is quite famous. Personally, I think Janggut at Roxy Square is the best, but it is an old style laksa. Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa also makes a pretty good mee siam flavored with juice.
49 katong laksa used to be my fave. They used to be across road from 328. Now I go to Qiji. Not bad. Great video. More of these please. Maybe do a prawn mee one
it’s pronounced as “jang-goat” the way u pronounced it is jang-gaht 😅. Loved the video! appreciate that u subtitled the parts when u conversed in mandarin.
Thanks for making the efforts and stretched yourself and reachout to these stalls and try them In my opinion, when you asked where is the best laksa, first and foremost; what are your criteria for best laska. Taste buds are individual and personal hence the ratings you gave differs from your guests as well. I would not say best but better ones for me 😊 You miss out 1 Katong Laksa which used to be opposite 328. They are now located at the food court at Roxy Sq One, ground level. Use the overhead bridge and cross over. Go and try but 1 month later 🤭🤣🤣
You have a talent for this. Just clicked subscribe. Next time you eat unfresh ingredients, just send it back and let the chef know about it. This is to feedback to the kitchen to stop serving to the next customers.
Crypto investing has brought me great success!!! Irrespective of the economic depression I can boast of over $12,000 dollars every week on my investment. All thanks to Mr Richard…Thank you for your focus on quality stocks..
The Sungei road laksa stall looked the best with such HUGE crayfish and prawns!!! Can you do a BCM or Nasi lemak or trying diff mala places around SG next???🥹
That’s weird. I mean I frequent Alexandra food centre the claypot Laksa really good. Then U should proceed to Queensway shopping centre for the original spoon Laksa and have a head on taste test. And got another 328 there but less the uncle quarrelling I’m sure lol
I disagree that u guys by juz eating 3 straight days that such an outlet is the BEST laksa in SG ! To make such a claim, there must be an official competition or contest or voting by local ppl. The ppl must given a chance to taste d laksa and to decide for themselves on the best laksa to them. It is juz like d Guinness World of Records where the winners r officially established thru certain criteria.
Hope you can try and review this two places too which I tried and are also very good 1) Yew Tee Point - Penang savour (Assam Laksa) 2) Yuhua Market & Hawker Centre (Famous Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa)
i really love laksa. too bad the last time I was in SG I only got to try it at a hawker stall. I love the coconut broth in laksa. the soup has got to be good. the type of noodles matter too haha xD I like lots of peanuts in mine. you can have my prawns xD
Are all the food video showing are organic dishes? Are they encourage to eat organic dishes ?
As organic dishes are tasteless and no much sweetness. Should use approved industrial food chemical to enhance the flavor of organic dishes. The end product still go one place.
Ridiculous to compare Peranakan laksa with Penang laksa, or pasta dishes with laksa gravvy. Should be 3 separate eps on best Peranakan laksa, best Penang laksa, best fusion laksa, etc..
Great stream, as always. I appreciate the level-headed approach you take to the news and the markets. . A lot has changed and that's on everything but the truth is I don't even care much about bullish or bearish market anymore because Bradley James Holly got me cover as I am comfortably making $150,000 monthly.
The Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa is a big disappointment. I am surprised you rated it so high. I just went there recently.$12 for the bowl with crayfish is too much. The soup is diluted and bland. How does the crayfish contribute to the taste of the laksa? Will definitely not eat again. I think the laksa at EAT tastes better than them. Laksa should be judged by the gravy and the sambal, not the accompaniments.
U don't put big prawns in laksa, you put BIG HUMs babes!! . Please don't compare Sarawak,Janngut ,Penang Laksa to Singapore Nonya Laksa.. Please edit the shouting lar...
Whatever is happening, Asians should invest .Honestly I appreciate you and your content < Technical Analysis is good but I find It truly baffling that major crypto youtubers just look mostly at pure T.A and completely ignore the bigger narrative of why BTC is pumps/pumped and why the future outlook will be even rosier than it seems. It's kinda irresponsible to ignore the fact that each ETF launch so far has caused a major dump at the peaks of BTC. We were already on shaky footing with historically low volume and almost pure whale pumps, narrowly avoiding a long-term bear market. More emphasis should be put into day tradiing as it is less affected by the unpredictable nature of the market. I have made over $350,000 from day tradng with Bradley James Holly insights and charts. He been one step ahead of other analysis..

63 laksa at ghim moh hawker, sungei buloh laksa, and 928 laksa in yishun are some of the best ones I feel! should give those a try.
It's pronounced Jang-good. It means "beard" in malay
Ya I cringed when she butchered the language. Anyways the real reason why they call it janggut laksa is because the owner had a big mole with a hair growing out of it. The fella iconic. They disturb him and call him janggut!
Sungei Road laksa is the best I've eaten. Always long queue but they don't want ppl to video them
Why never go Yishun Laska :/

George's dad learnt the trade from the original Janggut and opened his stall, which is officially registered as "Katong Laksa"
2:24 That manic laughter, always cracks me up!!
Great video! If you do this again you should try Janggut Laksa at the Queensway shopping centre. That used to be my favorite!

Funny contents and I like the way you interact with people at the food place. Cheers! 😊

Like the sincerity of your presentation
Veryhappines can try Laksa look very nicess special laksa Thankyou vidoes
Laksa is a comfort food - the big timers add lobster/crabs just to sikit atas and put big $ to bill. Best I can say is the Depot Laksa.
49 katong laksa used to be my fave. They used to be across road from 328. Now I go to Qiji. Not bad. Great video. More of these please. Maybe do a prawn mee one

QI Ji laksa is very nice also. It is halai. But they don't use the traditional white bee hoon noodle which is a pity.

She is speaking the truth
Great vid
Omg hope your stomach is okay after this 😂😂 making me crave laksa at night 😨

Sungei Road Laksa is the best! They use charcoal in their fire on their giant metal pot!
do one on hainanese chicken rice
Do one on Chicken Rice too and Prata
Laksa in Food Opera is also good!
Nasi lemak next !
Best Laksa in Singapore is at the basement people’s park. A fantastic Laksa!!
Why it felt like the rating is base on the size of the prawn rather than how close is it to traditional laksa? 😅
You have a talent for this. Just clicked subscribe. Next time you eat unfresh ingredients, just send it back and let the chef know about it. This is to feedback to the kitchen to stop serving to the next customers.
Oh ya. I have eaten Laksa 3 days in a row when I was back from Overseas exercise. Didn’t get jelak of Laksa though
makes me miss my mom's laska which imo is the best ever hahah

Good because of the expansive crab? Can't afford it! LaKsa is too rich, once in a while maybe. Three days straight? Boy, no wonder got tired of it!
