2:05 HBomb: "it feels good to finally play the game!"
*dies soon after*
When I heard him say that, knowing he was about to die
😢 oh buddy
Cops on their last day before retirement
Janet: I heard O2.
Ellum: Oh! That's uhh... That's just London lag.
😂😂😂😂😂
I need to find an excuse to use that phrase in conversation now
Steve: "I don't wanna do tracking it's so boring". Well i guess doing nothing is somehow less boring?
i love how he didn't take kimi's role at the end either
I think it's rather that he believes the role is too strong. Could be wrong though.
Definitely not that
@@AmongUsAcademy Was that a reply to me? That's the only thing that'd make sense. I'm curious as to how you can be so certain though. Did Steve call the role trash?
@@CottidaeSEAhe literally said it was boring hello?
the way this game started with nearly everyone having a nervous breakdown because of their roles is top notch comedy. cherry on top being hbomb being killed first 😂
yeah!! the only happy one and he gets killed first!
"it feels good to finally be able to play the game, you know?"
banana: people dont call communications here?
me: you know you'd REALLY think they would considering how often people in the lobby complain about problems calling comms fixes (admin, vitals, cams)
Mistake was calling Comms on a week Kara wasn’t playing 😝
Yeah I really don’t understand why comms aren’t called more in these lobbies, like they’re basically all the benefits of lights with the added bonus of disabling all the things people can use to get any information during lights
like really, other bad guys see you with lights off, so comms is just in general so much better
@@JordanPeace Because comms was getting hard meta gamed, mostly by Hafu. Court, Junk, Kara, and DD all used to call but every time it was called they would immedietely get sussed and sometimes even voted when they didn't call it. Funnily enough 5up calls it too but never gets meta'd like that. Kara literally got wrongly voted out on her birthday when Koji called comms the other day, which is stupid because crew auto loses the second somebody else decides to call comms. There was even a game a while back where DK almost won by calling comms because people tunneled so hard on the comms meta
@@sunnythedrunk literally even more of a reason for people who don’t usually call it to start calling it. If it immediately gets someone else blamed for it then that’s even better for the impostors
Banana’s scream when Steve went by .2 seconds after her vent. I FELT the panic! Lmao
dk was standing ontop of banana when she faked keys, but he had mercy on her
Very nice of 5up to not out banana, even though he knew it was her as snitch
Both 5up and Dumbdog.
It actually feels like a flex. They were certain of the task win. And it would have been over faster if Ellum had been Jester.
5up & dumbdog: out crew roles based on a hunch
also 5up & dumbdog: keep banana's secret of being impostor 😂
steve hating tracker is really funny, because one of my favorite games is from a bit ago where steve tracked like everyone in the lobby and cracked the case! i cant remember what happened specifically that game, but i remember everyone in the lobby being like wtf steve you have everyone tracked lmao
"why the tracker role is overpowered!" video
For that random vs not random role argument. I'd like to add my thoughts. I like the idea of being statistically less likely to get a role you had previously, but just doing that calculation straight up would cause problems with players knowing other players chances at a certain role as you've mentioned. Maybe a compromise would be to keep the percentage the same of getting imposter vs neutral vs crew. But change the individual percentages of the roles within those 3 main categories (snitch, transporter, vigi, etc for crew. jester, glitch, etc for neutral. Morphling, undertaker, etc for imposter). So if you get say morphling imposter one round, you are just as likely to get imposter next round due to randomness, but you are less likely to get the same imposter role of morphling in order to get different roles.
I mean what Goose Goose Duck does with role picking is a cool idea as an alternative
@@AmongUsAcademy I do like that since there's a random order of who picks, and a random 3 roles you can choose from plus an extra random button for a completely different choice. The problem is that everyone always picks the best roles first. Top 5 picks are always the killing roles, so we are left with a similar dilemma of unlucky people not getting interesting roles if they never are one of the first to pick. But it is better than the among us way I think
Maybe, also, if they all completely exit the lobby or maybe game, and come back, they'd be more likely to get a very different role?
this was basically what i was saying in the screenshot, i wasnt implying “no imposter next round 😡 😡 ” just a lower chance. it can still be higher chance to get it than not, but just in general be lower
so that way if someone wants the use the “🤓 well statistically” excuse they would lose more than win and learn not to assume
that aside, i still agree that goose goose duck does it best
It seems like the RNG in this game is straight up broken. The number of times roles recur is just too much to be coincidence.
26:55 I LOVE THAT KOJI CAN GUESS 5UP'S ROLE. That's really fun actually 😂 I'm just imagining someone being really slow to say who it is because they know the impostor can't guess them, but then the neut killer snipes them 😂
Snitch: (Buttons) Ok, It's playerA, I'm snitch. Vote them out.
NK: (snipes Snitch)
Crew: Huh? Oh, I guess they weren't snitch. Maybe Exe? Skip.
NK: (knows who the impostor is, and is not lone killer.)
I think Koji got guessed as “Snitch” after both impostors had died already. He revealed himself and the fact both imps were dead, and instantly yeeted by the Neutral killer
25:15 be it as the “Shielder” or “Shieldee” DumbDog always seems to manage to screw over Koji 😂
I guess they're even because Koji had been killing Dumbdog a lot recently lol.
Finally we have janet the bird😂😂😂
32:15 for context
Ellum tilted the fuck out them 😂😂😂😂
I think a "Decrease the chance to get certain roles" option would benefit the game. In a way that is noticeable enough in mid-long term, this could be good for certain loobys, making the "get same roles" or "being just crew" not impossible, but less likely enough to make a day in the among us looby more enjoyable.
Poor Brea. She was so traumatized from second one. 😂
The thing with adding a gambler's fallacy system to Among Us roles is that there is *no possible way to do it without at least partially influencing the metagame*. If you make it less likely to receive a role you've had recently, then people will obviously, correctly, assume that you're less likely to be that role and will vote or play based on that information, even subconsciously.
This is not comparable to other systems like the Spotify shuffle mentioned in the video. In that case, it doesn't matter that the randomness is not real because the only objective is to make it feel random to the user. In Among Us, you MUST have true randomness for the game to work correctly, even if that means sometimes it's weird. Because, yes, you can flip heads 5 times in a row, it's a 3% chance, but that's not 0.
Me: I wonder what it would be like if I ever played with this lobby
Me after watching video: yeah probably like that
I enjoy banana panicking 😂
On the matter of roles, I recently played One Night Werewolf and got Werewolf about 8/10 games and those are definitively random occurences because you shuffle physical cards each time
Oh yeah. It would be weird if people DIDNT GET MULTIPLE ROLES IN A ROW… Some of the time.
2:00 it’s feel good to finally played a game
Fudge and dies ☠️
No matter how hard you try bro, they won't make the vitals change
😭
(Sobs after getting the setting implemented into the TOU mod)
i dont think that the whole bad role sorting bug thing is true, but it IS insane how often i remember hafu being transporter LOL
Definitely “confirmation/recency bias”
Keeping the stats, it’s reasonable how many Transporter games she gets
Given the number of roles there is no reason for them to be true random it’s less fun for people to play the same 2 roles for hours
You could even make it impossible for someone to get the same role 4 times in a row or in a certain span and no one would bat an eye bc they’d never look at the code much less think to use it in game
You could. But that introduces Metagaming in a way. (Debatable if that’s good or not)
Didn’t the last video where dumbdog complained about the roles not being random it was proven in the UA-cam comments that it WASN’T random?
Nah they didn’t. I checked with the dev. It is random more or less - at least the points raised in the comments didn’t apply
Are you sure about that? Did you see the comment by @cklay1084? If dumbdog is regularly the host or at least one of the first few to join the lobby, it would explain why he hardly gets special roles, because with how the code works now (or at least what was shown), certain roles are given priority and then only the remaining roles are selected randomly.
Is there anymore of banana panicking? if so I would love to see more
She has DK's chaos and Tina's manic energy, she is literally perfect for this lobby
@@blahthebiste7924isnt that her color too
Orange + purple = red, not yellow@@infernal..
Why does Janet have smaller vision bubble? She can't even see her own name and roll while every other perspective can see their respective name and roll.
Revealing yourself as the MAYOR has that downside
The roles are random each round and not dependent on previous games. Sure it is less likely to get the same exact role (like blackmailer for instance) many times like this, but not unlikely. This essentially means that when starting a new game, you are just as likely to get any role as the previous game. This could be changed, but then roles would no longer be random.
Humans detect patterns, but I’m sure if someone actually did the statistics on it, it would be pretty normally distributed.
I have. And it’s normally distributed - roughly

Ayyy my screenshot of honor at 13:21 lmao
Hey @AmongUsAcademy
Some guy on the previous video where DumbDog complained about the "random" roles, said that maybe the game generates a seed for an entire lobby and it keeps picking from that, which would explain why people would be more likely to get certain roles per lobby, but have them switched up when the lobby is reset/another lobby.
~~idk how saying this is supposed to help lol~~
Maybe you can reach out to someone or mention this in a video
I’ve let the TOU dev Donners know. He seems to think it’s not an issue
If something like that were happening, then you would get a game where EVERYONE had the exactly same roles as in a prior game. But that's not what is happening. Here, what's happening is each game, you've just got a few random people getting the same roles they got before, but some other people in the game are still getting different roles.
So that's definitely not the issue. And in fact, there is no indication that is even an issue with the randomness, because you SHOULD expect a few random people to get the same role they got before, but other random people to get different roles.
@@AmongUsAcademy Cool. Love ya. Continue being a producer of the best morning lobby clips lol
@@randomstrategy7679 I see. 👍
people using dream's ender pearl logic to defend the rng of the roles lol
Among us must make their eyes so good Junk was dragging on 5ups screen for like 0.001 of a second that’s so crazy he saw that (or I could just need to get my glasses prescription updated)
Any chance the occasional Uno returns? REALLY miss those, but totally understand if you just don't have the bandwidth for that too. Just been catching them on dumb dog's VOD channel in the meantime!
You don’t know the huge backlog of Among Us vids I haven’t done yet. Uno would be behind that. And by that time… idk
I love how EVERYONE'S so confused
woo!! i love among us academy!
7:47 Can't tell you how many times I rewatched this 😂
Take a drink every week that Bait's wish of the morning lobby switching to Better Polus doesn't happen. 😂
Also, the devs should try a different RNG if this randomness problem keeps happening (or check that the same seeds aren't being used).
They are using default C# random, as far as I can see, which should use system clock. Which likely means that system cloak itself is the issue. If you can't rely on the local system clock, better to pull the time from external source and use that for seeding, IMO.
Well if 5up is begging to play Submerged every week, I think it’s fair I ask for a lesser change of MOVING VITALS ON POLUS!!!
There are a number of effects both statistical and psychological that could produce the belief that there are issues with the RNG where there really aren't (although I can't say if that is the case here).
There are ways to 'fix' this, but those ways would involve changing the way the RNG works to make getting the same role in short succession less likely. Probably fine as long as it's still possible to repeat, since the the degree to which you believe a role isn't going to repeat, should be equal to the advantage you get whn it does.
Have imposters ever won to reactor after both imposters have died?
Not in the Morning Lobby
In the morning lobby the imposters are the ones that fix the reactor😂😂
People don't want randomness. They want variety under the illusion of "randomness".
why is janet’s vision so low?? good lord
That 5up teleport in the start was so toxic omg
how?
I just want to say that computer generated random numbers arent exactly random. In fact computers are really bad at creating random numbers and have to use algorithms to approximate randomness.
I have not seen the code for town of us so i cannot say for sure that either the way role selection is implemented is good or not or if there is an issue with the seeding of the random number generator or the algorithm being used to generate random numbers.
i seem to recall the code actually being broken for randomness
Yep it was.
It wasn’t

Is it possible for a plaguebearer to win by vote before converting to pestilence?
I think Ellum has been the only person to win as plaguebearer
@@TheKingG54 do you know which video it was in?
@@TheKingG54nope.. Even many people had already won it.. Ze and all
Bananas funny
Tasks?
That's not the rarest win phantom would be the rarest win think we only ever had one win as phantom so far.
Well there had been two phantom win (Ellum and 5up) . There had been 0 task wins.
wasnt DD the first phantom win in the lobbies?
I think this is also a massive L for Koji. No kills and only one guess, he knew Hafu's role and sat on it for rounds. He could have helped himself by helping the only remaining imposter.
5up and hafu admit their roles and banana guesses ellums lol these lobbies dont work with ppl who dont know the game theyre just toying with her the whole time
Soo... what was that rarest win condition?
wait why was janets vision so low after she revealed?
Maybe it's a new downside to revealing as Mayor?
This 👆
I just wasted 30 min of my life just to see crew finishing their tasks
u mad bro?
@@AmongUsAcademy no your vids are absolutly amazing.. I was just waiting for a plot twist in the end
why is Annie band from the lobby??
She’s not. He was joking. She played yesterday.
Pretty sure that was a Morphling of Annie. She’s still banned
Why don't they play airship?
not compatible
Submerged is not compatible. Airship is too big
kind of an annoying game because some of them knew it was banana and were basically just trolling for a task win or out of pity for her because she seems new to the game from the terrible gameplay. idk as someone who loves getting impostor i don't understand people who get scared of having the role.
i'm an idiot, could someone explain what makes this so rare?
There hasn’t been a single task win in over a year of “Morning Lobby Reunion” games
@@AmongUsAcademy ohhhhhhh gotchaaaa, ty
So funny the ppl that dont wanna be imposters get it.. and everyone that wants it so bad can't get it to save their lives..
Why Annie is banned to join the lobby?
She isn't. Steve is just joking
She just played in the past lobby and got impostor a lot.
Nah that was an Impostor Annie.
Wouldn’t recommend watching this one; “rare” win condition is just finishing tasks because the game took so long
You’re gonna hate the game prior to this then ua-cam.com/video/6GPSjsCrs_A/v-deo.htmlsi=3AeNDD26BKYnsafw
wait, is imitator kind of like an amnesiac in a way?
Yeah. They can take roles from dead people during meetings
So sorta similar. But different. Yet similar. At the same time different
@@AmongUsAcademy yeah gotcha, thanks!
Why does Janet always say I'M done my tasks?? 😭
Is it not I'VE done my tasks?
I keep thinking I misheard or she made a mistake but she says it like that every time.
I guess it’s either
- I am done WITH my tasks
- I have done my tasks
Or their conjunctions
She said “I’ve done my tasks “
So glad banana is not a normal person in the lobby. The screaming and over reacting for views on normal things is so cringe.
What's with the title?
Before this game, there had not been a single task win in modded among us over the year the Morning Lobby Reunion has happened. (Hundreds of games)
I like the different perspectives but watching the same start five times over gets repetitive and boring
😅
I remember back in the og among us academy hafu lobby videos where everyone kept complaining about the multi-pov single take videos because they were "too difficult to follow", and now finally after all these years people complain about the repetition. maybe we go back to multi-pov single take videos
I mean the other option is 2x2 simulcast
_ or even the Picture in Picture from the early days
@@AmongUsAcademyNah what we really need is every single POV at once with audio from all of them, would definitely not be confusing or incoherent in any way whatsoever
If I ever choose to do that, I’m screenshotting this comment as the reason we have multiple audio streams at once
I think it’s so cringe that 5up uses speci to hide when he’s snitch. It’s so cheap 🤮
I disagree. That’s where I would hide. In fact I think leaving speci tasks last is smart for that reason
@@AmongUsAcademy Utilizing doors to hide until a meeting gets called just seems like cheating to me. The whole point is to try to button to get the impostors out when you finish as snitch, no? I think it just defeats the purpose of even having the arrows at that point. But to each their own.
@@seventen8055no the point is to finish tasks and reveal the impostors. the IMPOSTORS need the arrows to find the snitch to kill. if there was no arrows for both then impostors would have to kill randomly and hope to kill snitch. snitch only gets arrows because if only impostors had arrows that would just be bad imo
