This is the absolute best. Out of all the holy books, spiritual teachers, and philosophies that I have looked into this joint right here was everything to me. I needed this particular song, a lyrical masterpiece, to reaffirm what was already inside of my mind, my soul, and my body. You're A Master Teacher, Bro.
yeah this was a big song to cover in a few minutes .... hard for me to even choose which lines to break down .. hopefully my breakdown - let you see where my head was at & what i was rapping about
one of my favorite songs from ras kass. proves time and time again that ras is criminally underrated and one of the best rappers out there. doesn't get credit for his storytelling ability and his ability to come up with concept songs such as interview with a vampire and nature of a threat.
I would zone out listening to this track back in the day. It was way ahead of it's time, too far for the average to appreciate. A Line 4 Line should be done on "On Earth, As It Is In Heaven" too. That song has so many biblical metaphors, good lawd
Top 3 Dead or Alive...I say it again. There ain't nobody better than Ras. He's still doing it. He's got interesting songs on every album. Ain't nobody doing it like Ras. Love that Intellectual Property album. Love the A.D.I.D.A.S. album. Check for his albums on his raskass.bandcamp.com website. He's got clothes, too.
This was an amazing song, great thought provoking content man. Not to long ago I put my 15 year son onto this song just to have conversation one of our rides. FYI fucking The Evil That Men Do is my Favorite Ras Kass song ever.
It's so good he can barely explain it himself lol Ras Kass is so underrated. Another West Coast rapper that got overlooked because of the East/West rap feud aftermath smh
I've been listening to these old skool songs this week. This is my favourite Ras Kass track ✊ But I never understood why a conversation with God/Satan would be called "Interview With A VAMPIRE"??
One of the few rap songs at that time to use violins. Wondering if the use of strings were influenced by the Castlevania music (Bloody Tears comes to mind when I'm listening to this).
@@raskasscentral Rass Kass is a genius. He outshined Chino and Canibus on tracks their own albums, and made them try too hard, when they're more talented than that. Chino belongs to Mensa, though, Rass Kass sounds as smart or smarter than him. The song was great though. He was talking about God and the Devil, which was in an amazing and deep way. He brings up white people, which is a separate topic. Everyone has different opinions of that, but I look at it as art, and that's his expression. It would have fit better if he attributed to the deities, rather than race. It seems like another song was meant to be about white people and religion as a text or being spread, than directly to bad dieties.
Thinking 🤔 💭 man's music!

If Rass Kass didn't insert racism into the song, it would have been better. It didn't fit into this song.
