Can you get a decent job with a bachelors or do you need a masters?
I never thought about Economics being a Social Science major, but it makes perfect sense.
Regarding the other social science majors: if I need to get an advanced degree, it may not be worth it unless you have a direct plan.
Great video! People often underestimate the social science degree.
It’s true, I’m struggling to get a job 😢
Thank you for this!!!
Nice video, interaction within people and society is of prominent importance in any aspect
Highly energetic person
Love this energy! :.)
I plan to pursue a career in food safety & worker compliance, its been extremely challenging yet rewarding.
I think am going for Economics
I am doing bachelor degree in social science in economics . So what are the job aspects under this course
Is it wiser in terms of which route would offer more job opportunities down the road , to major in Anthropology or a (more general) Social Science Associates degree? I'm going for my Bachelors in Environmental Studies afterwards. Any feedback would be much appreciated 🙏
Here in Canada there is very little demand for Social Science degrees. I would avoid altogether.
I love this thanks
Usually FBI detectivs were graduates of social science
I did my associates on social science not using it right now. Trying to see what can I do with this degree
Hi I'm thanusiya. I want to study in USA . I need some informations in student visa.
Can I also get employed by UN
Make video about anthropology degree
I don’t think that it would necessarily have to hurt you to have a social science degree, you just need to be careful who you tell about it. I would possibly hire a psychology major but it would be suicidal to hire a woman’s studies or black studies major.
Thank you for the deep explanation, my question is, is it a good choice for someone whose willing to become a diplomat ?
yes!
So I got a question I'm pretty interested in social science I honestly never believed I would ever even get to think about going to college ya know my life hasn't been the greatest and I'm very poor I don't have alot of money and my family is just as broke but I just got my ged and I want to go further in life. But idk what my possibilities could be with my limited amount of resources basically can I even pursue a social science degree with no money and my test scores on my ged were normal and im.only trying to go to a community College so is it possible for me to even try??
Of course it is still possible. There are many grants and scholarships that have 0 people apply to.
so I'm not an expert in options and applications. But I think if its your dream you will find ways and you should DEFINITELY try to give it a go! Believe in yourself:) Hope you have a great day and future
Is economics social science or business? I know some colleges categorize it as business, while others categorize it as a social science.
Yes
There are many different types of Economics, and all Economics degrees contain both business and science related courses. Therefore, a college that has relatively more business courses than science in the curriculum should categorize it as business and the other way around. In my college I was able to specialize in either: Business Economics (w. more accounting, finance); Economics (more advance mathematics and public policy; or International Economics (international development and globalization electives).
Social Science vs Humanities? Where would you place history?
Excellent question! We would categorize history as part of the humanities, though it is occasionally classified as a social science. Either way, there's a LOT you can do with a history degree! (And stay tuned: We'll be posting career videos for fields in the social sciences, including political science and sociology!)
@@ThePrincetonReview Thank you. What distinguishes the two?
