I got into collecting G-Shocks thinking it would be fun. Nothing could have prepared me for how deep and expensive that rabbit hole is.
Honestly you didnt choose a horribly expensive hole to dive in. In the grand scheme of watches Gshock is a high value relatively inexpensive brand.
you just compared a Citizen ISO-certified dive watch to a diver-styled fashion Seiko watch whose bezel doesn't even rotate... i do get your point, but still!
I have had this watch for at least six months and can say it is a great looking watch. It wears well and couldn't be happier.
I've owned the watch for several months set to GMT time and it's been exact to the second since day one.
I have the grey dial/bezel version of this Promaster.....I much prefer it over the blue dial version. The lume on this watch is incredible, and the bezel is a perfect size and rotates quite smoothly. Hard to beat this watch for the price.
Purchased my first Citizen Eco-Drive about a year ago and really like it. I am a little spoiled right now, in the Tag Heuer world right now. I have Invicta's, Sterling's, Tags, Citizens, Android, and 1 Breitling. Over all... watches are just fun and cool. I have enjoyed many over the years!

You've cost me a LOT of money this year Nut'n. I've always been a knife guy. About six years ago I had massive epiphany that I was an American and didn't own any guns! I fixed that pretty quickly and found your channel in the process. I appreciate your approach to value and common sense. I have learned how to shape my own opinions about gear and what works for me and what doesn't.
Then all of a sudden, its watches. A gun guy is spending so much time talking about watches? I didn't get it. When I started seeing the Casio ABC watch reviews I freaked ojy and HAD to have one. It took me about a yearnto find the one I wanted...Analog/digital display, not too big, version 3 module...I ended up with the PRG 650 Y. Then I started watching some other watch channels and ended up with a couple of sweet little Seiko 5s, then I needed a dress watch. Now I own a Citizen with a slide rule bezel and two Tissot automatics. Its getting really bad. I bought my wife a couple of nice ones hoping she would get on board...she just doesn't get it.
Anyway...I love the WRVs. Keep them coming. Your philosophy vids are my favorites and I typically find that we are on exactly the same page.
So thanks for all your work and your integrity. I hope someday you find yourself in Minnesota and gear check me.
Ruger SR9C in a Winthrop leather belt slide. Spare mag offhand side back pocket in a Remora mag pouch. Gerber Dime light duty multitool. Olight M1X. CRKT M21 dual flipper. And YES I ROCK A FANNY PACK! (but usually left in the car)
Its more of a convenience thing...not a trauma kit. Just some band aids, antiseptic wipes, antibiotic ointment, Advil/Tylenol, small hemostat, etc. Duct tape, hickey tape, zip ties, small wire nuts, paper clips, super glue, small pick tool, wd40 pen, spare flashlight (4sevens preon), spare batteries, spare pocketknife, pen and sharpie, 25' blaze orange paracord, ferrorod/striker, mylar blanket, signal mirror, compass, classic leatherman, zippo lighter, and a bandana. All in a Mountainsmith Knockabout.

Way ahead of ya Nutn! This very watch was my birthday present this year! It's been keeping great time. Other than changing the date at the beginning of each month, I have not had to fiddle with it at all.
Mdv106 is a great beater watch. Wear mine almost every day.

I just bought my son a Citizen pro diver for his first grownup watch. He likes it.
Pretty much same bezel and build as the other Citizen reviewed August 2017....which was highly rated. Having owned both, can’t see enough difference where one could be desired and the other not so much.
After your first review of the black Casio I ordered my brother one as a gift. He LOVES it.

Hell, I like the Promaster.
I have followed nutnfancy gun fun for years, just noticed the watch videos. I am also an amateur watch fan and I have a small approx 20 (mainly swiss) watch collection. I personally love the design and look of the Citizen diver. I don't care for the look of that Seiko with the rorange band. I am ready for a daily watch I don't constantly have to wind by hand. I want the style to emulate my automatic dive style watches I love the look of. I liked the Casio.
Finally an American who speaks English that isn't broken and who I can understand. Watch is great too!
I'm wearing one right now. Got it at Costco Bundamba (Ipswich Queensland) for $299.99 about a month ago. Citizen Australia msrp is AUD $599.00. I fucken scored with this one! I love it! I also collect watches and only started a couple of years ago with an SRP777 Seiko Turtle.

I’ve got the watch bug now myself! I just picked up a protrek prg600. I just looked at this exact promaster today. Almost pulled the trigger... but I really want a seiko automatic. I’m probably going to pick up a one of the blue skx style seiko 5 automatics this week

I picked up a used Seiko like the one in this video on Monday. It was low on battery and I've had it charging for a couple days. Last night it lost almost an hour do you think it needs more charge or a battery swap? Thanks
I really like the citizen promaster, I think the stainless steel bracelet & blue face look great. Watches Definitely need a date magnifier or maybe my eyes are old , I have 2 casino 106 that I wear for work because I beat the shit out of them , my last purchase was a seiko prospex samurai that I really like, I'm still on the fence about the citizen
That’s so funny I had the same citizen watch. Listening to your intro I was the same way about three years ago and I end up selling most of my watches the last watch I have is a Bulova and it’s really hard to get rid of and it’s a dead sexy watch

Have one similar, not sure of the model. Looks good in a suite on a job interview though.
I don't have the concern about the face/bezel design. Plus for me. I'll probably get one of these soon. Preferably in the black-ion, although I like the other colors, too. Also stalking a good deal on a Nighthawk :)

I like this watch except for the lack of sapphire crystal. Momentum carries a similar style but it’s a couple hundred dollars more expensive.

Love the video but my experience with this exact watch is poor. I saw this in black. I was going to head to Jamaica for my honeymoon and was going to go diving. Had this watch for less the 24 hours and a pin in the band fell out. Needless to say couldn’t take it to Jamaica with me cause I was leaving the next day. Came home a week later told the store what happened they told me to hold onto it they will order me a new one. When it came in I picked it up and again less then 24 hours later the same thing happened pin fell out of band and that was it done with the watch

Dude I got the watch bug and your WRVs got me thinking I got to have a watch for every outfit, adventure, and dinner date LoL. Needless to say I am having a great time with it, besides I already have like 50 pocket Knives thanks to your KRVs and no harm came from that.....

@Evocati yes the over 50mm struggle is real. Thanks for the tip on Fliegers. Might go that route when I need a dressier less hard use watch but looks like I'm regulated to Mudmans for EDC.
@@petercardona1559 what's your wrist diameter? I really don't think that you should limit yourself to anywhere near 50mm.
@@AMM1998 my wrist is just over 8.5 inches around. When you combine that with a bad case of blacksmith forearms if I wear an under 50mm watch it looks like I'm wearing my girlfriend's watch.

Citizen watches are an ok everyday watches. My yard work Citizen watches have taken a beating over the years, Screw on backs, to replace batteries, is easily taken care of by going to Amazon, and ordering a WATCH REPAIR KIT, under $20,,,,,,,,,,The batteries 370/371, and be purchased for $5.20/5 pack..Do it your self!!!!

Luminox can be okay, but Citizen is a little better as far as quality and design goes. If it has to have tritium illumination, I'd go for a Ball or Marathon.

Automatic diver run more deeper than quartz diver.. This is proven by some seiko engineer.
