I love, love, love Citizen and their Eco-Drive movement. Completely bulletproof. However, I wish they would release a model with smaller dimensions. This watch would be absolutely killer at 40mm.
Awesome watch! Got this one 3 years ago and i've never had any issues with it. I also dig the inner metal ring, for me it is a good design choice. Great quality at an affordable price!
I have the gray version of this, which is my favorite. I also have the black DLC version. Love them. Like the BN015X watches slightly more, but these look a bit dressier if that's a thing with a dive watch.
Yes, correct it's a fitted rubber. I have one with a rose gold case, and it's not exactly the easiest strap to get onto the watch. I switch back n forth between rubber and leather and fitting the rubber involves some weird finger contorting! Looks nice when attached though
Citizen has a few nice looking watches at incredible prices, but almost all of them are too big IMO. Alpina & Bulova watches are also oversized. I've only been able to find 1 Citizen I like under 40mm but it looks like it's worth 4 or 5 times what I paid
I paid retail for this (280) and I'm still pretty happy with what I got. Bummed I didn't do my research and save my money, but a happy part of my collection nonetheless.
The date window are too small on Citizen watches. The Only excuse they gave me when i call Citizen Watches Canada 🇨🇦 they say because of the size of their movements and for me that’s not an excuse we don’t get a better vision when we are getting older. I have a Corso BM710059E and I can’t wear it because it’s bugging me to see the miniature date window. Am I normal ?
“You’re in the market for a solar dive watch in a 44.5mm case…” No one. Literally no one is in the market for Citizen’s giant mall watches. When they shrink their cases and open up those ridiculously tiny date windows, they’ll be on to something.
I’ve given up on Citizen. Even though they offer a lot for the money, they have 2 problems, that keep me from getting one. 1. You barely get sizes around 40mm or less. 2. Visually they often have something unpleasant, that bothers me (I hate the Eco Drive text. Should be written on a Toyota) or the watches are too busy. They got some interesting JDM models though.
I like Citizen but I also agree with you. Their quality is great for the money, but their designs often don't work for me. That said, my absolute favorite watch is their JDM Promaster Land PMD56-2952 model. 39mm diameter, 45mm lug to lug, 12mm thick, simple clean dial, all titanium, and the best functioning quick adjust clasp on the market at any price point IMO. For ~$500 it's absolutely worth the money IMO.
Citizen Eco-Drive divers are always incredible values! They are durable and deadly accurate!

I have it in blue. It was really the watch that got me into watch collecting.
Great review! Keep the Citizen videos coming!

If Citizen could either dispense with that microscopic date window or make it bigger, that'd be great.
Yes I agree. And they can do it my pmd56 has a great day date and it is eco drive but my nighthawk date window is tough to read
Gotta be bigger
How does Citizen (typically) hit all its indices. Seiko (typically) is like Stevie Wonder playing darts.
Citizen and Casio can do it but Seiko fail.
Citizen divers are great. Great job Rob
I have the titanium promaster diver. It's a little bit more but Citizen's Super-titanium is worth it. Same classy looks.
I love this solar diver. Even better is the titanium version for $320-ish.
great watch ! got it in blue and its beautiful ! the lume is amazing. thanks for the video.
Had 2 of the blue models. Both after a few months Had movement issues and stopped working even though they were exposed too constant light.
Cupcake crown....I like this name for it.

I think you are right Rob, the rubber option is a fitted rubber strap I think.

I love, love, love Citizen and Eco-Drive but I really wish they'd make some smaller models. I mean, 44.5 is a little ridiculous.
I had to physically restrain myself, because I want another Certina. But a seriously tempting daily.

Wow. Neat lum!
Looks a lot like my EZM9-same size roughly 44x12 -60 click bezel tegemented titanium watch and H-link bracelet
Citizen make nice watches
I have this watch in blue dial/bezel........great watch 👍
Same here. Really great watch.
Plz review this citizen model no.BL5558-58L

Speak for yourself please.
@@e28forever30 for real
It would be great if the date wasn't so big
not that much actually. i've got a 17,5 cm wrist and its fits ok on it.
Citizen is my favorite brand
Eco-drive diver, can't go wrong with that. 💪
Probably has better lume as the Breitling..
citizen rocks !!!!
💐👌
This watch is too big.
For $190 how can you go wrong.
First

Oh, I don't know about that. This one is pretty elegant for what it is.
