Thank you so much for explaining how you set up your traps and what it involves as far as specifically getting Martin and weasel. I really look forward to your future travels down the line to see what kind of fur you can capture. And oh yeah stay wild.
Totally enjoy your videos , I do find it sad that the logging companies didn't do a better job of cleaning up their mess of scrap wood. I turn my boxes the other way. That doesn't make it right or wrong just different, wish you all the best on your trapping season.
Oh man, that deer steak looked delicious. Even better, I would bet, after a long, hard day's work in all that fresh air. Pretty sweet, indeed. Best of luck to you and your dad with the new trapping season. :)
Guy is living the life eating everything from the earth and unprocessed. I eat pretty good and hunt but I strive to one day only be eating wild game and garden foods.
Just boiled my traps with black walnut hulls and waxed them. Only put out a dozen now. At 76 , everything slows down a little. Hope you have a good season.
Great trip setting the line, thanks for the ride. Beautiful country there, totally wild. You're right about the snow, it would help. Wishing much luck going forward and that I had a steak like that😋 Take care, God bless.
I really wish I had a friend who could teach me all this stuff in person. I watch the videos and yearn to learn! Not that your videos aren't informative (because we all know they are), but hands on experience is so different.
It's good to see you back trapping again. Love your beautiful country. Can you advise on fixing the metal plate on your victor rat trap at 8.21 cheers UK
Really enjoyed this video. I miss trapping, though I trapped more populated farm/urban areas for nuisance beavers.racoons etc. The most fun for me were the floating muskrat sets on ponds - so effective. Well done cleaning up other irresponsible hunters messes. I look forward to seeing the results of your trapping efforts.
Great content, Kusk. I sure appreciate you picking up that trash. Not all hunters live by the same creed. That marten trapping sure looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see what you get. And that meal at the end has me licking my chops! Would love to see you put a doe on the meat pole!
Good happy trapping, good to see the cleanup. Bad and sad thing why don't they take there stuff with them is beyond me. Lookng at that meal makes me hungry.
Most of my marten boxes are the same as yours with the opening at the top. Do much easier and faster to get bait in there. We also just got our marten line set and hope to have a new video out this weekend. The fur is rolling in. Good luck
Great to see you are off the start of another season. Lots of work to get your appetite going for some venison. Hope the animals cooperate and the season is rocking.
I appreciate you cleaning up after others - I just don't understand how someone who claims to love being in the outdoors hunting and fishing leave a place worse than when they got there. And leaving litter around? No excuse. Thanks for taking care of the woods.

Best of luck to you - I've never run a trap line but it has always intrigued me.
Ryley, thanks for taking us along on the start up of trapping season. Can only imagine how that venison steak tasted.😋
Hope you enjoy a successful season. Thanks for sharing.
You do a very nice job making videos. Thanks miss the days of running the line. Keep up the good work.
Perfect cook on that steak. Good luck on the trapping season.
I absolutely loved running my trap line. Back in the 70s. Red fox 75, Grey 50, Muskrat 5, possum 1. Best times of my life
You can tell hunting is more getting meat in the freezer, trapping is his true love.
Soooo jealous of your dear steak 🤤🤤🤤, but very happy that trapping season is open 😃, definitely looking forward to your next videos 😁👍🤙🤙🤙
Another fun video. I just love your videos. God bless and stay wild.

Your living the life my friend. Your wildlife, trapping etc is So much different to us in Australia. Apart from the nice tasing deer. Keep well.
Steak looks wonderful 😋 😍
Glad to see you cleaning up after those who leave their trash. It’s mostly a thankless task but I thank you for doing it

There's things I hate that people do, people that don't clean up after themselves and lairs.

Yes it is definitely the greatest time of the year.

Im still looking for a couple nice beaver pelts for some mittens! Hopefully, you'll have a productive season!

Roughly where in Alberta is your cabin?
He wants to check your traps for you lol
That sure looked good. How long did you let it hang before you processed it?
Good luck and what state r u in , or r u in Canada
Now im hungry and need to pull a steak out of the fridge .
Is this an old video? I can’t believe you don’t have snow.
