If we’d like to get philosophical, there is no real distinction between “us” and our bodies. We are a system of interlocking processes but people tend to think that “they” are just something in the head behind the eyes. If you’re curious to expand on this thought process I’d recommend looking at some of Alan Watts’ lectures

Another reason to think twice about getting a tattoo is three letters M R I. I have a full sleeve and two smaller tattoos. The sleeve was done in 2004 and the other two smaller ones in the late 1980's. In 2017 I had my first MRI due to a life-threatening infection that was migrating to my brain. The MRI tech told me not to move so although all of my tattoos were getting hot, I didn't move or say anything. After my emergency surgery which I had a few days later, I notice my arm started killing me. I had gotten third degree burns on all of my tattoos, my sleeve being the most damage. That is how I found out that the tattoo inks that were used contained heavy metals and the MRI machine tried to remove those metals from my body. My arm was swollen, inflamed and small lumps appeared. It was agony. I was treated with antibiotics and steroids for a month. To this day you can see the burn scars on that arm and it is now larger and slightly deformed compared to my right arm. I had to go back to the emergency room twice because the pain, inflammation and small lumps came back and that was in 2019 and 2021. I was treated with antibiotics and steroids again. I can't imagine what would have happened to me if my tattoo was a chest one. Be warned and make sure you know what inks are being used. You never know if you will need an MRI in the future.

Had multiple MRIs done, and they only asked if the tattoos were done in the past 6 months.
So I’m not sure if there is not enough knowledge on their part either on the subject, or if both the technology and inks are different now.
Luckily I didn’t have any of this symptoms happening, I’m also not heavily tattooed.

@@aleSoareDon't bank on the past 6 months thing. In the future one should speak to their tattoo artist and read the labels of the inks to make sure before you get one. They all don't get their inks from the same supplier. When I speak to the MRI and CAT technicians (they sometimes rotate between the two departments), doctors and nurses at my hospital they all say the same things. That they learn about it but have never met someone that it actually happened to until they met me. They also never asked patients if they were tattooed beforehand but will start and will ask the patients if they are experiencing any warm areas during the MRI scans. Believe me when I tell you I am so happy to know that this didn't happen to you.❤❤❤❤

Why not go into a STEM field? Found passion in tattooing or sone other unfortunate circumstance? If the latter: you can still do it! I study for a BsC degree with a path to med school after years of drug addiction.
      WHY?:
Kicked it off cold turkey, opioids. Still use sometimes, but manage to keep it under wraps.
Got hooked because of some not-so-appropriate oxycodone prescribing(3+ months of 37.5-80mg oxy/day with the 1st month being an IV drip, 2nd month and one week IM injections and then 20mg oxycontin once in the morning, once at night with 4x10mg oxynorm pills during the day. Then they suddenly dropped me to 2x5mg oxynorm a day, turned to buprenorphine to ease the extreme withdrawals. This felt like a walk in the park compared to the oxy wds.)
      Edit: dosage correction

I'm pretty sure scars are just the cells that can't be replaced. They're a result of your dermis being destroyed in that area. The way they were earned determines if it's raised or lowered. Basically, if you have a wound like a cut it will likely protrude. If it's something like an infection scar or from bulging skin it will shrink into the body.
It'd be like your skin trying to stitch itself back together by contracting or building tissue around the area that's missing.

I would say apart from Informational clips, science (study of a Process), daily current affairs, entertainment, jokes, mainstream narratives, propaganda, lies, etcetera if you're interested in Theology, Purpose of Life, Reason for Creation/ Existence should have a look at this -
First thing which should be considered is that THERE has to be one Absolute Truth/ Objective Reality (100%)
[regardless of what different scientists, ph.ds, doctors, philosophers, societies, religions, cultures, individuals, etcetera believe].
The rest could be categorised as either -
1.) Some Truth with some Falsehood mixed in it (no matter in what ratio/ percentage it is in) or
      2.) Complete Falsehood/ Delusion (100% Wrong).
      Its something like this -
[If Analogy is to be used our Body is like a Hardware of the Computer and our Soul is like a Software. Just as Computer's Hardware is Useless without a Software, similarly, a Body is also Useless /Lifeless without a Soul.]
We go through 5 Phases in our Life :-
      1. The Realm (outside of this material Universe) where we took an oath & chose to be granted free will and want to be get Tested (The Testimony of believing in Only One God by our soul),
      2. In our mother's womb (9 months) - The soul is breathed into the body, which gets created from a single molecule through a unique DNA🧬 (An Instruction Manual/ A Program/ Code) fashioned/ programmed by Creator. And, as the soul enters a body that's from where our consciousness and conscience comes (it happens with a lightning speed i.e. in a fraction of a second which Scientists/ Doctors couldn't able to capture it),
      3. On Earth 🌎 (On an average of about 60-70 years)
[Commencement of Test with the Development of Conscience],
      4. In the Grave (The time frame from our death till the Day of Judgment/ Resurrection) &
      5. In Paradise or Hell (Eternal Life).
All are Temporary except after the Resurrection. So, the consciousness in brain 🧠 gets activated when soul enters the body & through soul the conscience (sense of right and wrong) of heart gets activated (including feelings like joy, peace, pain, anger, etc.).

Since I first saw the scar I knew I would get a tattoo to cover it, when the metal is gone and the scar tissue has grown healthy. The scar got even longer since the accident because I needed to have a more complicated treatment done. It's on my right forearm and since it's on the side next to my body I literally have to see it hundred times a day.

Lol damn you don't care but that's okay.. also you know that the majority of ink causes cancer. Also red ink is by and large not tolerated by most people. Also their is no governing body that monitors and makes sure that the ink being used by any tattoo artist contains more or less bad chemicals than other ink. Since I was a nurse and saw people with a lot of abdominal tattoos have more polyps and Colon cancer than others I will never get a tattoo. We can see the tattoo from inside your colon that is how deep the ink goes meaning you are literally seeping ink into blood vessels, Organs and other vital parts of your body. Yeah I'm good, but more power to you honestly.

    • @Shinshocks555
      @Shinshocks555 4 місяці тому +33

"Why the immune system would turn against its human" is pretty simple when you remember your body is really a collective of cells. What makes them behave as a collective is genes and hormones (which are controlled by genes). Therefore if you have an autoimmune disease like Lupus, T1 Diabetes, Wegener's granulomatosis etc. it is a result of cells that are no longer recognized as part of the collective and are being attacked. There are >9000 reasons why this could happen so that is why there are so many different autoimmune diseases. In T1D it's islet cells in the pancreas that get attacked. In Lupus it's cells all over the body but skin, joints, and kidney cells are commonly the focus.

@@extragoogleaccount6061on average it takes like 7 years to be diagnosed. There’s certain criteria and you have to have over ten points in bloodwork markers + other symptoms. Most patients have a positive ANA. There’s a debate about whether ANA negative lupus exists or if it’s just a “lupus like disease” but the ANA is just the beginning, anti-dsdna, anti-am,anti ssa/ssb, complement tests etc. can help narrow down a lupus diagnosis.

It’s just one needle handled by the artist themselves, kinda like they’re drawing with dots. It’s doesn’t hurt at all, and they heal faster. This video beautifully explains how tattos work. It shows through animation how strong our immune system works, and even if you do not take care of your body, it will still protect you. The prase "It will not win this fight, so it does the next best thing, not lose" sticked with me as it shows the efforts our bodies put into keeping us healthy. The video also explains why people with immune system diseases, such as Autoimmune syndrome, are not capable of having a tattoo. I had a friend who had this disease and she had to go to the tattoo artist twice, as the tattoos were fading away. However, after the video, it is clear how our immune system is interconnected with something that is on our skin.

I had a skin cancer diagnosis about six months ago (I'm cured for now at least) but during the examination on my back, they said they could see blue amongst the colours in the melanoma. This surprised me as much as them. I did suspect my tattoo, which contains a lot of blue colouring might have appeared in the cells as they got replicated. I just wasn't sure how. Now I've seen this video, my question has been answered. My tattoo is in my body at a cellular level and not just my arm (unless the blue was from my eyes) Thanks Kurzgesagt 👍

I don’t judge muslims who fast in ramadan but go to clubs, smoke, drink alcohol, show their hair, etc. But y’all a different type of people who judge. You judge the most but didn’t the Quran talk a lot about judging others? Don’t shove your beliefs down people’s throat if you want them to respect it.

I'm sorry but saying "meaningful tattoo" is so stupid. There's no "meaningful" reason to mutilate yourself. No one needs to write things on their bodies. It's just stupid. Like mothers who get tattoos of their children names as if they will forget them if they don't ? It's just very stupid and harmful. Can't believe people will still find silly excuses to harm their bodies after seeing this video...
