Happy New Year, Baz, and welcome back! I had an Alvarez a few years back, and I had the same issues with mine. I didn't have it in the stable for long!
Interesting!
Nice to have you back. Hope you had a good Xmas.
Thanks pal!
Thanks for review and I wish you a happy New year 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Thank you for this review about this uke
Glad it was helpful!
Happy New Year Barry! Have a wonderful 2020!
Thank you!
And a happy, successful, peaceful 2020 from TX!
Thank you!
Welcome Back good fellow ! as for today's uke - nice to look at but i'll wait for another ... slim
Yep..
Happy new 2020 Baz!
And to you Nickie!
Thank you. Saved me 😅😅
No problem 👍
My goodness--I'm so glad Santa gifted me with a beautiful SoundSmith concert uke. It is all that you said & very, very sweet indeed!
Yeah - nice brand, and nice people who run it too.
Great ,!!! Evel interesting .
Indeed
can you do a review in the flight duc323 mahogany please
It will be quite a while if I do. I’ve done a lot of Flight reviews and doing another one next. Can’t have the channel have too many from one brand!
That's disappointing. Give my experience checking out Alverez ukes in music stores, I expected it to do better. It is asking a lot for a soprano to house that pickup control panel and a cut away. Really surprised that the intonation was that off. Most Alvarez ukes and guitars I've checked out have been pretty solid on the intonation front. Thanks for the review.
The intonation of course is easily fixed if you know what you are doing. The lack of any punch on account of all that 'stuff inside' - less so..
Wow. Intonation issues in the first three frets? Not many buyers in this price range will have the knowledge ( or the courage, or the tools) to a) knock the nut loose and lower it or b) file the nut.
No - exactly Tom.
i bought one attracted by the pick up, i did this buying may be too quickly, i thought it will sound louder;, when i will get more money , wuill move to an another one
It's a very nice looking instrument.
Sadly doesn't live up to the looks in terms of tone or playability
Nice one Barry
No punch
Little sound
Exactly
What is the bit you play to demo the instruments?

@@GotAUkulele thank you
I was gonna get this same one, the only difference being that it was gonna be a concert, I ended up getting the Aklot AKC23.
I have a bit of a problem with Aklot's marketing methods I'm afraid.
Is "Techwood" Richlite?
Edward Petersen it has been used for that material but not in this case. Also used for laminate and stained woods
That is to say, a chemically treated wood that has been turned black rather than painted
I"m afraid even lowering the nut won't slove that huge intonation issue
It will. I have set enough ukes up to know that this can be dialled in and it’s not a fatal build issue. But it’s not mine, I’m a reviewer and review as they arrive with me. The nut is about 0.75mm high and has the room to drop. Saddle is high too.
Bonne année
Thank you!
Agree with you on sound, intonation very poor, happy new year, look forward to some more good gear.
Thanks Ian!
You just saved me $60. Thank you good sir. Lol
It sounds like a sock was stuffed in the sound hole
Ha! It does a bit!
Yeah, a bit too dark for a soprano. Looks nice though.
Just a bit limp alround I thought
Yikes.
IKR?
