Speaking of the type 3 gun "Confetti", there's no way for new players to get em since it's only available through research. Also, the Purple 410mm provide balance between Damage and Reload for barrage ships, the best choice BB gun would be Triple MK6 gun, since it has the highest damage, and triple gun spread is better than Twin so you can hunt down DDs. Also worth mentioning, the English triple 406 gold is also extremely bad ( Except on Massachusetts), and it can be obtained by new players throu gold box so make sure to tell them that.

Another tip for events is to only build 3 a day for the daily quest if you want to maximize resources. You might get the ships you want just from that. Only start spamming once the event is coming to an end you still don't have the ship you want, AKA Amagi :(
"Dont use your bullins as an actual ship in battle" Me planning on building a fleet eith bullins but strong enough to destroy people in pvp while keep the bullins stay alive
@@dcsa4273 novelty as in unusual? yes. she is the only ship that can limit break all* gold rarity ships. and I guess you could call her stats unusually horrible as well. Edit: added all
Some mistakes I learned since I played last December: 1. *Do I use super rare ships as soon as I get them?* Avoid using Gold ships very early on. They can be tempting, but limit breaking them is a pain in the ass and will hinder your progression simply because you will not have enough gold bulins in the early game anyway. 2. *What ships should I raise which can still be viable late game?* It doesn't matter. Play the ships you like. The bigger issue in late game stages are farming plates to enhance all your gears to +10 and getting the right gears. I had level 120 ships way before I could enhance their gears to +10. You get better ships in events anyway. Remember, a bad ship with good gears will ALWAYS perform better than a great ship with bad gears. Except Enterprise, she's just broken. 3. *What ship types should I raise?* It doesn't matter. Raise the the ones that you like. However, I would suggest raising ships of different types if you're into hard mode. 4. *What ships are good for chapters 12-13?* Stop. It's a long way ahead. Just enjoy the game for now. 5. *What PR ship to get first?* It doesn't matter. It'll take months for them to be battle ready anyway. The hard part about PR ships is grinding blueprints, not the EXP GRIND. 6. *What are tierlists?* These are lists of ships which perform better exclusively in chapter 13. Don't worry about these lists too much since your ship waifus, however weak, will still be able to clear 95% of the game as long as you level them up and gear them up adequately. For me, tierlists are there as a guide, not a rulebook despite what others tell you. P. S. Ander, is the mic new? 😁
I would still use SR early on. Getting them to 70 takes quite some time for newbies, enough to get a second copy, the many bonus bullins for new players or a couple ones from the weekly long before you reach that level.
@@hassathunter2464 1 or 2, sure. I had the mistake of composing an almost ALL SR fleet. Both trash and boss fleets as well. Getting my ships to level 70 as a noob took me around 3 to 4 weeks. You only get 5 to 7 gold bulins per month. Each SR takes 4 bulins to max LB. Long story short, I had to level up lower rarity ships just so I could advance since I couldn't LB my SR ships asap. Iirc, I LB'd Enterprise and Hood first.
Another important note is try to engage in PvP battle to make you understand the mechanic in building a synergy fleet which also give you free experience points to your shipgirls. You doesnt necessarily need to aim for top ranks but analyzing other player's fleet arrangement would give you little idea in building your own unique fleet without depending on wiki or guide too much : )
Actually gold 410mm gun ( meme gun) are good to farm exp, that will assure backline Bb cant get mvp exp, ( if u still farm vanguard PR ship) and if u place it on DoY, it can apply DoY debuff on more ship
@@ItsAnderYT also gives that extra anti air when you don't need the damage, really good for battle monitors to give them more survivability from planes
One issue with the confetti gun is that the AI doesn't aim it properly. Most of the shots land short of the bullseye and just splash. If you manual aim, aim a little far and high, and you'll find more shots landing on target. Doesn't mean you should be using it most of the time, but if you're bringing it out, as suggested, to prevent your BBs from stealing MVP, you can still ensure they do SOME damage instead of just splashing some water around. I suppose if you're ever dealing with some stage with lots of small, tightly packed enemies, the confetti gun might come in handy. There's not really any fights like that right now, but at the very least I'd keep one around just for the future.
At 3:02, the correct word is Sanshikidan Ammo. (also known as San Shiki) At 6:19, the black bar was suppose to say "The skill book itself is not bad, but buying it with gems is VERY BAD" Edit: many of you have commented this, and I wasn't going to elaborate too much on this video since a gem spending guide is a video in itself, but here's the order of how you should spend your F2P gems: (High priority -> Lower Priority) Dorm Slots -> Dock Space -> Oath Rings (since they give a boost in stats) or Extra Skill EXP Academy Slot -> Normal Skins
Bullin: Avoided. Confettigun: Caught me (weeps in +8) Limit breaking: IGNORE. I break 10, 30, 70 and maybe this event I can FINALLY get my maintenance mails coins that always got hold captive by the oils I didn't have need of. Shop: Gems are love, gems are live. Also Dockspace. That skunk skin though, I miiiight need to break f2p after all. Gacha: Got Tosa, Amagi and all elite in 30 pulls... lack... one RARE. For real AL? Daily: My replacement for 7-2 since grinding is boring. Why do so many runs when you can just go for 3000 a day at ease... I do wonder why I got excess oil :p Tactical class: Just use the widget on the main menu. I find it so annoying the UI gives a ! on HQ only, rather than widget and location that commissions and research do. "150% instead of 1%" I am sure you meant 100% there ;) An useful tip I found out VERY recently (after playing since December) is you can hold the button on ship selection to get instantly to loadout. That makes gearing up ships for Hard mode so much easier than pick, go to dockyard, gear up then load the hardmap. Such a timesaver I wish I knew months ago.
I see this a lot and good amount of people still do this, spending all your 200+ cubes on your first week on an event is not a good idea. During an event a daily mission will appear where it will ask you to build 3 ships for 300 event currency, wasting all your cubes on the first day is going to make you miss out on potentially a lot of currency that can help you get more stuff from event shops. Only start building and using all your cubes on your last day if you were unfortunate to not get the event ships yet by that time.
the disappointment that happened when you keep doing daily 3, and by the last day spend all of your cube, and STILL don't get event ship you want is painful enough to make somebody quit this game entirely.
That depends on perspective. If you are unlucky enough to not get your ships in the gacha through daily rolls, you will have to save gold for your mass roll at the end, and if you are truly unfortunate you might not have enough gold to get them. If you roll and get the ships at the start, you are better able to allocate your gold for future uses (LB, research, retros, etcetc).
The Type 3 Shell (Sanshikidan) is an incendiary anti-aircraft munition, intended for Japanese battleships such as the Yamato. In real life they were not effective in their intended role which is AA, and were used for shore bombardment instead. But in the Kancolle anime, Yamato was able to destroy a squad of Abyssal aircraft with a barrage of Type 3 shells.
bullin can be used for quick affection farming :) whenever I want to marry a main fleet ship on day 1, I make a 1:1 fleet with a bullin in the vanguard and I keepp fighting the ambush zone in 1-1 until the affinity get to 100 :) its the easiest way to farm.
On the other hand, the "Confetti Gun" CAN be useful in at least one situation: if you have a Battleship who has a proc ability. You see, the more "hits" that Battleship can score, even if they do little damage, the more likely her proc is to trigger.
Heres another mini tip Look at the box under the red “GUN” box and you can tell which to use because its “Scatter” (meant mainly for AA purposes irl) or “Volley” (Ship to ship)
2 tips I can think of are, for any player, is to not forget about the Commissions each day. And I don't mean just the urgent ones. By Lvl. 70, Oil management becomes an actual issue, since the daily Production can't cover the amount spent (especially as there's always some kind of event going on where Stages need to be cleared). Keeping up with the Commissions will give good oil Bonuses so that you can at least end a day of farming on par instead of realizing you have no Oil left and nowhere near enough time for it to replenish in the Canteen. EDIT: And for people trying PvP, also around Lvl. 70-80, pay attention to traps left by others. If an Account is high level and you somehow run across them due to their Fleet Points being lower than your own, it's because they have set their Defence Fleet to be ony a couple of ships with MAX Lvl. and Gear. Even though math says you might win, the reality is you're most likely going to get rekt, so always check what the fleet is made of before engaging.
You could add the ship position during sortie or formation setup, especially for vanguard. Ship on the leftmost position is the first ship to receive damage when you controlling it forward, vice versa to your rightmost ship when you moving the vanguards backward. Ship in the middle will be well protected by both side. Thus during sortie, if one of your vanguard is badly damage and the other two are still in have good amount of HP, just swap position with the badly injured in the middle between two other high-hp ship
Wanna add on the Gacha tip. Don't buy the exchangeable ship at the event shop too early into the event duration, because you can never know if you will luck out and obtain it later on. A friend of mine bought 2 from shops and then built another 3 afterwards, he was so triggered because he could have used that 16000 pts elsewhere. Also, remember to lock the ships you wanna keep, or you might "accidentally" retire/fodder it. Devs have improved the quick retire function but I still prefer to do it personally to avoid any "unwanted accident".
I actually use the Confetti gun to avoid my BB from taking MVP, but still ensures a tanky enough BB to take any suicide boats or planes from deleting her. Also Kirishima because fireworks
For new players remember to use your fodder (gray ships) ships to enhance lock ships (ships with lock symbol close). Do try to use CV (ships with airplane thingy) fodders ships for CV only when possible.
@@SM...... the new quick retire function automatically chooses CV gray ships for CV's, so that's very useful. Definitely a very good point to mention enhancing!
I somewhat disagree with not limit breaking your ships, you should only do that if you know exactly what you're doing. It's better to unlock better barrages and all out assaults for your primary party, since it upgrades your damage by a lot. For example, at limit break 0 (lb0), BBs generally fire one round of their gunshot when you use their salvo. At lb1, they fire TWO rounds of their gun shot, and at max lb they fire THREE rounds. This is potentially doubling and tripling your damage, and might be the extra push you need for breaking through higher worlds. I'd recommend to max lb your main 12 fleets as soon as possible, as it helps you progress through the game a lot faster.
11. Don't spam the build pool unless it's the last day of the event, or else you"ll end up with multiple Kents, Nevadas and Pensacolas. Just build three a day and your wisdom cubes are saved.
im pretty sure that the gold confetti cannon is an AA gun (the pacific theater used AA ammo for their man gun) my guess would be that its for later game when there are a load of planes, the gun also has an AA value.
Dunno if someone already mentioned this but you can also combine the skill blue skill books and the blue blueprints which is cool ( you should be careful while combining the blue blueprints since you might actually need them at the beginning of a retrofit)
I wish I could have seen this video before, in early game I spent all my gems in cubes for building, now my dorm is at 4 capacity for a long time and my dock is almost full all the time, I wish I could have saved those gems.
I agree you shouldn't do gacha roll outside of event, but only for the heavy pool and the special pool. The reason is event build pool use either Heavy pool or Special pool, so if you don't have some ships permanently added you can still have them during that time. Beside it cost 2 cubes and 1500 gold, not worth it to spend your ressources outside of major event. Instead, I advise you to only build 1 light ship by day outside of event (or if you already have all event ship) and starting at monday. Why do you ask ? It only cost 1 cube and 600 gold and the daily mission "Build 1 ship" reward is 1 cube and 800 gold, meaning you get 1 light shipgirl for free and gain 200 gold. Repeat this everyday until saturday and as a result it's like having 6 free shipgirl and 1200 gold coins earned. On Sunday, build 4 light ships. It cost you 4 cubes and 2400 gold coins, but you already got free 1200 golds during the week, so it's like you only used half of the gold cost. Thanks to the daily mission "Build 1 ship", you gain 1 cube + 800 gold and by building 4 ships on sunday, you have cleared the weekly mission "build 10 ships" which give you 2000 gold and 6 cubes. Your ressources aren't wasted, you even got some extra for free. In summary, you've spent 10 cubes and 6000 gold but gain 13 cubes and 7600 gold, so it's like you've got 3 cubes + 1600 gold for free.
The golden bulli - Never done it. The 410 SANSHIKIDAN gun - Don't have it. Buying trash with gems - This is a no brainer, figured out by myself. The daily missions - guilty. I always forget to do them. The limit breaking ships - kinda guilty. I been limit breaking multiple ships but only those that I am using on sortie, I wasn't thinking on saving oil but rather on saving bullins ^^ Not that bad for some1 that started playing 2 weeks ago and has already married his starter ship :) Javelin is such a cuttie
I've done almost common mistakes you mentioned above. Luckly, i stopped before it getting worse. Its shame, but kind a funny if i recalled it. Keep going :D
Saw that thumbnail in my recommended and came back just to say that as soon as that UR bulin comes out, I'm using it for full lvl 120 oathed vanguard and you can't stop me!
Tip the type 3 Shell is suppose to be a Shell specialy use for anti Air purpose in battelships thats why It explodes in small pieces in Air versus planes like a battelship shotgun for kill planes
limit breaking is actually really handy. expands the ship's stats a bit and allows you to throw away duplicates you don't need. yeah, the oil cost is a problem, but your ships will be stronger. plus, you get tech points for limit breaking. gems should preferably used to expand your dorm in several ways and the dock the tech boxes thing: absolutely. get the basic ones to tier 3 before opening. don't open any of the lower tier ones.
This one is from my own expirience, usually happens to an F2P Higher level skk "Shikikan" but also rarely happens aswell. *DO NOT* I repeat *DO NOT* go on a retrofiting frenzy or you'll regret it. I never used my diamond to buy nothing other than dock space [Some cubes back when Im still new to the 3BD "Three build a day" rule] but other than that I never buy any skin or packs. But once you go into the retrofiting hell, you'll start to lose dock spaces each retrofit since you can't retire the same ship that you used to retire back when you haven't retrofit them. So stepping into the retrofiting hell is actually a 50/50, if you're confidence in your dock capacity, then feel free to retrofit any ship you like [I recomend retrofiting the Foxhound, if you haven't seen her retrofit you better check it out ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)]. I was at 250ish dock space back then and I was strugling to keep my dock intact while praying for a free diamond, in the end the God himself "Intern kun" gave us free diamonds, after that I don't really retrofit any common ships anymore. Ps: Im still an F2P Skk after 2 years. :D
lmao i went on a retrofit frenzy recently because i had a surplus of gold prints sitting around. Was murder on my resources but it's hella fun having the bragging rights of having 20+ retrofit ships --even if most of them don't have their skills at max level-- But real talk, one of the reasons I did go on a retrofit frenzy was to free up dock space. I'm playing to collect as many ships as possible, so I make it a point to keep a few copies around, particularly for LBs and Fleet Tech points. Between purple Bulins being given out like candy and my collectathon tendencies, I'm always starved for dock space.
Retrofitting? I save a copy of every single ship in the game, the problem was that I had more than one copy sitting around because I needed it for the retrofit, but that's all over now and I'm really glad I did it.
Recently got back into Azur Lane last month and I’ve fallen for the 410 gold Gun with a beehive shot (which I assume means the same as scatter). I thought it was the volley version at first
I just started Azur Lane like 5 days ago and thank god for this video lol. I still have a question though, I followed your advice and didn't do these mistakes. However, when putting guns on my ships, I sorta just slap whatever gun I've got on the ship who has the most efficiency with it and I'm not sure if that's how you're supposed to do it lmao
That kinda works, but gearing is a lot more complicated in this game. I actually made a playlist of the best gears for each ship type that you can find somewhere on my channel. (it is a bit outdated, but it'll explain the reasons behind why a certain gun goes in a certain slot)
The Type 3 is an AA shell, it's supposed to shatter to improve the chances of hitting groups of planes. Next to useless against ships, unless the entire crew is assembling on the deck to get shot.
More like, "10 Mistakes You Shouldn't Do But We Still Did Anyways At Some Point" lol. I would've added the most common mistakes in terms of ship formation that most new players do but I think it is a seperate discussion and you might be planning to do it in the future.
As someone who buys a monthly card and the occasional lucky bag: if I see T3 Offensive (Red) Skill Books in the shop for gems and they have more than a 30% discount, I buy them. Roughly 70% of all skills in-game are Red skills, and the drop rates for each color skill book is equal (supposedly, although I swear the drops slightly favor Blue books, and Red books are more scarce than the other 2 colors). I've had to resort to using Blue books to level Red skills too many times, and it takes SO LONG to level skills like that. Also, for the people who don't need Techbox gear, you can choose not to craft your tech boxes, since the gold returns for selling the low tier gear are slightly better (only do this if you have too much time on your hands, though)
If you play this game on and off while waiting for something, youll barely have oil problems and if you do, only do your daylies and get it back up. The max amount of oil is 25k, so you can stock up with maintenance rewards so you wont have oil problems during events
I actually use confetti gun, but solely when I'm auto-play grinding for vanguard pr ships. This is coz it's guaranteed that the bb won't steal the mvp from my vanguard ships.
Hey ander, Thanks for the tips my friends recommended me watching your guides and tips because im new at playing azurlane thanks this is very helpful. -Much love from the philippines
I'm glad that I found this video! Super helpful! I started playing the game like 2 weeks ago and I'm still figuring things out and thankfully I guess I did ok to start off but now I know better! Thank you!!!😂😂😂😂
When I first got the 410mm mounted gun(type 3 shell) I was excited and didn't really looked at the stats. I equipment to someone and used it. I was like,"WOAH....this is worthless"
Would be nice to see a series explaining what makes ships actually good compared to other ships and what makes them overrated or maybe add that to the current gear guides. I've never understood what makes Portland T0 in the first place.
I could definitely add that as a part of the gear guides. Once Portland Retro's comes around, I'll be sure to talk about why. For now, I think the reasons are because: - She has very good evasion, comparable to light cruisers (not the best out of all heavy cruisers, but definitely up there) - She has Main Gun +1 like all the other Heavy Cruisers that don't fire torpedoes, meaning very consistent damage output Edit: also, she has the 5th highest health stat out of all heavy cruisers, and very high luck too I think she's rated so high due to a combination of having very solid stats, a useful skill (Defense Order), and obviously since she's so cost-efficient.
@@ItsAnderYT yeah that makes a lot of sense, thanks for clearing it up, I'd be sure to riase her up even more, thanks for taking the time for the explaination ander
I must have Little Renown at all costs. I fell in love with her when I saw her. That aside, thanks for the video from a player that started 6 days ago playing :D
don't judge me, but I use confetti gun with my North Carolina in W12/W13, and she is doing well with it :3 Like another one already said: If the shell explosion hitting aircraft they going down in an instant (thats the purpose of the type-3 shell, it's AA ammunition). And there are 2 little nice side effects: 1. The high spread can clear a entire screen half in one shot if it's filled with small enemies 2. North Carolina only - she has a buff skill that increase her FP with the AA Stat, and the type-3 has 25 AA but tbh, I only use 1 Type-3, and this is the one on North Carolina, for any other ship this one is really meh =) If some one want to use it anyways, a tip: If you aim manually, aim behind your target and most of the shells should hit
not gonna lie, first time I play AL, I use Bullins (either gold and purple) into battle, and realize it after months. and yes, 410mm gold scatter gun is a scam I guess tho I enhance it to 10 because I didn't know it (I use it when its already reach 10, and now I regret what I did). I didn't buy any skin because my gems already used on dock expansion (I kept all ship, even I didn't use it, please don't follow my step)
Nice all around general tips. Good job. Only thing i think was missed was the Dock Space and How Many Purple bullins you keep in dock. Personally i dont keep more than 20 purple bulins .... At one point i had like 60 something of them rather than actual waifus that i can use :D Oh yeah and the 50% off for gold/ always get the 50% off and above. :)
The only mistake I did when I started to play Azur lane is I used the golden Bulin. I used her in battle only once because I quickly realized that she is used to limit brake XD
First limit break is not worth it, it only unlock the basic barrage and slightly increase equipment efficiency. The LB you want is the second one, which gives preload torpedoes or +1 main gun. Most fuel efficient: LB each at 70, 80, 90. This is straightforward maximum efficiency, but chances are you drown in oil in the beginning and your slot get full. Use for ships you are using but not super important. Balanced: Wait until level 50, LB twice then LB again at 90. Do this for the more important ships if you get stuck, especially in W3. MLB ASAP: Exactly like it says, this is most recommended for event exclusives as soon as you get dupes for them as well as ships you wont be using in combat for some time to save space. Bullin lives matter.

Some mistakes I learned since I played last December:
1. *Do I use super rare ships as soon as I get them?*
Avoid using Gold ships very early on. They can be tempting, but limit breaking them is a pain in the ass and will hinder your progression simply because you will not have enough gold bulins in the early game anyway.
2. *What ships should I raise which can still be viable late game?*
It doesn't matter.
3. *What ship types should I raise?*
It doesn't matter. Raise the the ones that you like. However, I would suggest raising ships of different types if you're into hard mode.
4. *What ships are good for chapters 12-13?*
Stop. It's a long way ahead. Just enjoy the game for now.
5. *What PR ship to get first?*
It doesn't matter. It'll take months for them to be battle ready anyway. The hard part about PR ships is grinding blueprints, not the EXP GRIND.
6. *What are tierlists?*
These are lists of ships which perform better exclusively in chapter 13.
Yeah i remember that pain...but now im flooded with gold and purple bulins and not enough ships i needa limit break...
the mic isn't new, I've just continued to keep adjusting and stuff. It seems like it's still getting better!
@@ItsAnderYT Very noice. Haha.
6:23 tells us *best* use for gems
Me, looking at Taihou L2D skin: yeah I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, chief.
The 410mm Type 3 is actually quite good when farming EXP for priority vanguard ships. Guarantees that the flagship doesn’t steal the MVP bonus.
Another important note is try to engage in PvP battle to make you understand the mechanic in building a synergy fleet which also give you free experience points to your shipgirls. You doesnt necessarily need to aim for top ranks but analyzing other player's fleet arrangement would give you little idea in building your own unique fleet without depending on wiki or guide too much : )
Actually gold 410mm gun ( meme gun) are good to farm exp, that will assure backline Bb cant get mvp exp, ( if u still farm vanguard PR ship)
and if u place it on DoY, it can apply DoY debuff on more ship
i didn't think of those scenarios, good points!
Although in every other situation I still can't find myself justifying the use of the Gold 410mm
@@ItsAnderYT also gives that extra anti air when you don't need the damage, really good for battle monitors to give them more survivability from planes
get 3 guns on your backline and sweep the screen. Shells everywhere.
Same here
One issue with the confetti gun is that the AI doesn't aim it properly.

(also known as San Shiki)
At 6:19, the black bar was suppose to say "The skill book itself is not bad, but buying it with gems is VERY BAD"
Edit: many of you have commented this, and I wasn't going to elaborate too much on this video since a gem spending guide is a video in itself, but here's the order of how you should spend your F2P gems:
(High priority -> Lower Priority)
Dorm Slots -> Dock Space -> Oath Rings (since they give a boost in stats) or Extra Skill EXP Academy Slot -> Normal Skins
Good thing I used purple
i don´t know if as f2p player i will have enough gems to buy an oath ring and a the skin for Tosa :c
Dock space > dorm slots
the confetti gun is amazing when you want to give MVP to a vanguard ship
also nice for Erebus and Terror, as it reloads quite fast
Bullin: Avoided.
Confettigun: Caught me (weeps in +8)
Limit breaking: IGNORE.
I do wonder why I got excess oil :p
Tactical class: Just use the widget on the main menu. I find it so annoying the UI gives a ! on HQ only, rather than widget and location that commissions and research do.
"150% instead of 1%"
I am sure you meant 100% there ;)
An useful tip I found out VERY recently (after playing since December) is you can hold the button on ship selection to get instantly to loadout.
General WHEATLEY_ but people want to get the new waifus as quickly as possible
I do it just to avoid disappointment
the disappointment that happened when you keep doing daily 3, and by the last day spend all of your cube, and STILL don't get event ship you want is painful enough to make somebody quit this game entirely.
If you start in an event and really want ship X go for 3-4 pulls daily until the last couple days or you dont need event currency. Then splurge.
If an Account is high level and you somehow run across them due to their Fleet Points being lower than your own, it's because they have set their Defence Fleet to be ony a couple of ships with MAX Lvl. and Gear. Even though math says you might win, the reality is you're most likely going to get rekt, so always check what the fleet is made of before engaging.
remembered when my Universal Bulin always got MVP and I thought it was legit the best ship until it's life drains easily
They called me a madlad because I used a bulin for EX boss fights.
heres a random fact:The type 3 shells is used for AA that explains why it deal low damage

You forgot to mention that the blue textbooks can be combine to make purple ones
@@nsbcgr2fan360 Ah yeah, I did. I personally wouldn't recommend combining those though, since you would lose out on a good amount of skill exp.
Don't spam the build pool, unless it's the last day of the event.
Or else you will end up with multiple Kents, Nevadas and Pensacolas.
Dunno if someone already mentioned this but you can also combine the skill blue skill books and the blue blueprints which is cool
( you should be careful while combining the blue blueprints since you might actually need them at the beginning of a retrofit)
I been limit breaking multiple ships but only those that I am using on sortie, I wasn't thinking on saving oil but rather on saving bullins ^^

Tip the type 3 Shell is suppose to be a Shell specialy use for anti Air purpose in battelships thats why It explodes in small pieces in Air versus planes like a battelship shotgun for kill planes
guys the skins are actually most important trust me they give a really good morale boost to the player
also, you can't unlock floor 2 in the dorm if you don't have the first floor completely expanded, so that's another reason to expand it
limit breaking is actually really handy.
expands the ship's stats a bit and allows you to throw away duplicates you don't need. yeah, the oil cost is a problem, but your ships will be stronger. plus, you get tech points for limit breaking.
gems should preferably used to expand your dorm in several ways and the dock
the tech boxes thing: absolutely. get the basic ones to tier 3 before opening. don't open any of the lower tier ones.

Ander: Bulin isn't meant for combat!
Also Ander: *sees April Fools bulin gameplay* **Sweats Profusely**
Was murder on my resources but it's hella fun having the bragging rights of having 20+ retrofit ships --even if most of them don't have their skills at max level--
But real talk, one of the reasons I did go on a retrofit frenzy was to free up dock space. I'm playing to collect as many ships as possible, so I make it a point to keep a few copies around, particularly for LBs and Fleet Tech points. Between purple Bulins being given out like candy and my collectathon tendencies, I'm always starved for dock space.
You wanna hear a sad news?

The Type 3 is an AA shell, it's supposed to shatter to improve the chances of hitting groups of planes. Next to useless against ships, unless the entire crew is assembling on the deck to get shot.

Use the bulins if you want the "touhou experience"
Or just use your good destroyers
Just watched this video and I just realized dailies existed. It took me until level 70 to see them
As someone who buys a monthly card and the occasional lucky bag: if I see T3 Offensive (Red) Skill Books in the shop for gems and they have more than a 30% discount, I buy them.
Let’s just say I made a bunch of mistakes since I got the game a week ago. This really helps so thank you very much
If you play this game on and off while waiting for something, youll barely have oil problems and if you do, only do your daylies and get it back up.

For now, I think the reasons are because:
- She has very good evasion, comparable to light cruisers (not the best out of all heavy cruisers, but definitely up there)
- She has Main Gun +1 like all the other Heavy Cruisers that don't fire torpedoes, meaning very consistent damage output
Edit: also, she has the 5th highest health stat out of all heavy cruisers, and very high luck too
I think she's rated so high due to a combination of having very solid stats, a useful skill (Defense Order), and obviously since she's so cost-efficient.
@@ItsAnderYT yeah that makes a lot of sense, thanks for clearing it up, I'd be sure to riase her up even more, thanks for taking the time for the explaination ander

I’ve only ever used bulins in battle for their low oil cost. Even still, there are better ships both in terms of oil efficiency and stats.

Man, I really wanna get Amagi, but I keep getting visited by Tosa, lel.
don't judge me, but I use confetti gun with my North Carolina in W12/W13, and she is doing well with it :3
Like another one already said: If the shell explosion hitting aircraft they going down in an instant (thats the purpose of the type-3 shell, it's AA ammunition). And there are 2 little nice side effects:
1. The high spread can clear a entire screen half in one shot if it's filled with small enemies
2. North Carolina only - she has a buff skill that increase her FP with the AA Stat, and the type-3 has 25 AA
but tbh, I only use 1 Type-3, and this is the one on North Carolina, for any other ship this one is really meh =)
If some one want to use it anyways, a tip: If you aim manually, aim behind your target and most of the shells should hit
I remember when I started out I used my prototypes for enhancement (I went in with no knowledge of what to do in the game)
Don’t retire your bulins early on. Learned that the hard way

not gonna lie, first time I play AL, I use Bullins (either gold and purple) into battle, and realize it after months. and yes, 410mm gold scatter gun is a scam I guess tho I enhance it to 10 because I didn't know it (I use it when its already reach 10, and now I regret what I did).
I didn't buy any skin because my gems already used on dock expansion (I kept all ship, even I didn't use it, please don't follow my step)
Nice all around general tips.

Oh yeah and the 50% off for gold/ always get the 50% off and above. :)
Im saving gems for Kashino rerun because that skin is a must. Dock space is also becoming a bit of trouble so maybe that too in the future.
My first mistake as a beginner who just play a week ago was using "Universal Bulin" as an enhancement material
everything u told me not to do, *i did em anyways and i don't regret*
"Oil cost will deplete faster if you limit break your ship"
Me with full oil storage and tons of extra oil ="I see thats an absolute win!"
Most fuel efficient:
LB each at 70, 80, 90. This is straightforward maximum efficiency, but chances are you drown in oil in the beginning and your slot get full. Use for ships you are using but not super important.
Balanced:
Wait until level 50, LB twice then LB again at 90. Do this for the more important ships if you get stuck, especially in W3.
MLB ASAP:
Exactly like it says, this is most recommended for event exclusives as soon as you get dupes for them as well as ships you wont be using in combat for some time to save space. Bullin lives matter.
You forgot to mention that spending gems on dock expansion is also worth doing, even moreso than spending it on skins
This! There are what, 500+ boats in the game, and the bigger harem the better. I mean fleet, more options, more flexibility, etc..
