Yes.. Evel inspired me to jump my Stingray bicycle off a wall back when I was a kid... In the process I cracked my head (literally, as in CONCUSSION🤕) Good times !!! ...Lol
Jumped over east and westbound lanes of interstate 94 in Romulus michigan using a 1992 Honda CR. 250 Elsinore motocross bike 140 feet on a 30 ft. Long ramp 8 feet high. Landed in hard packed fill dirt and gravel and did the ceaserspalace shuffle and cooked my jeans off down to my tightie whities broke my right collarbone and de- shinned both my knees to bloody bone. Took the entire summer grow the skin back on my knees. But my bike only had a bent footpeg and ripped rear fender...
I still have my Evel Knievel scrapbook I made as a kid in the 70's. Every time he was in the newspaper or a magazine, I cut it out and kept it. Thanks for the great tour!
oig40203 that is awesome!!!!!!!! I love hearing everyone’s stories such a fun moment to see how everyone enjoyed his legacy!!! Glad you enjoyed the video!!!
I remember watching Evel Knievel interviews on my local news station long before you were born young lady, the spectacle of his appearances was like nothing you had seen before. He brought with him to every city he was jumping almost a circus of other performers, they rolled in with that truck and others and the show commenced. It was an attraction on wheels. I was never fortunate enough to be able to see one of his successful jumps however I did see one of his earlier jumps in a smaller venue and at that time thought he was going to do something very big, just based on the performance itself, long before the longer and bigger jumps. This is a wonderful video which takes me down memory lane, so I will be making sure to stop here one day.
I am a child of the 70's and this guy was an absolute HERO to me back in the day... The man had his share of flaws, but what he accomplished and what he created is undeniable !!! ...Btw: Very cool vid 👍🤟
I defiantly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in bikes, extreme sports or just something different ... really a cool place and very reasonably priced!!
You are welcome!!! It was an amazing place... I hope my video did it justice.. there are so many small details in all of the panels of jumps that are so epic to see in person.. hard to include all of them in a video!! You will have to let me know when you go what you thought of seeing all of those in person!!! Love to hear how others enjoy the experiences!!
Shared this with my husband. He said he might have to start watching some of your videos also. I would consider that a win, he normally only watches other guys.
Absolutely! I love that they put so much work into this and made it such a neat start. It’s really cool to learn about each of the jobs through the way that they have the displays and I learned a lot about him and his life by going here.
I had no idea that there was an Evel kninevel museum in Topeka, ks. That was very interesting. Thank you for making the video 😊. I enjoyed this very much😃I learned a lot 😃👍
Yes!!! I found this one when I was looking for things along the way to Missouri and I was soooo excited to check it out... very neat place and so much more than even could be shown in the video. Hope you make it there one day and will tell me about your experience!!!
I'm a huge Knievel fan and would absolutely LOVE to visit the EK Museum in person but.....I'm also disabled and can't really travel long distances (I'm in NC).
This museum is pretty amazing, but completely understandable about long distances. I am glad I was able to bring a piece of it to you at home. I do hope one day you will be able to see it in person!!
I remember always trying to jump my bike like the guys on tv and never knew who this guy was other than his name til I was in my teens, then it always made sense why when we jumped we said "Evel Knievel"
No problem! I love this place it was absolutely super cool and something kind of a little bit different… If you are a thrill seeker or just like nostalgia this is a perfect place
We are loving your channel since Subscribing a couple of weeks ago. Do you have a specific area you are going to be covering next? I ask because we are hoping to take a trip in December if it is safe to travel since we have vacation time building throughout this and will lose it if we don't. I was just hoping maybe you were going to some of the areas we are considering.
I have several adventures coming up and also to be shown on the channel, several different states. What did you have in mind for your trip and I can see if one of those places is in my prescheduled content.
I really enjoyed this video but I have to say, you are really good at this, you have such a great voice, youre outgoing and very energetic, so pretty as well, I hope you much success in your life!!
Thank you so much! I had such a wonderful time at the museum and thought it was a great way to celebrate the life and legacy of such an incredible figure. So many people have been impacted by his legacy and having a place for them to go to find out more and also to reflect on their memories is perfect. I appreciate all the hard work that went into this location. My goal is always to share the places that exist like this one so that others will be encouraged to get out and experience these places in a 3-D way. A lot of times we feel conflicted and as though we can’t get out and experience life to the fullest because of limitations however the only thing that ever hold us back is our self. Thank you so much for your kind words!
Question of the day: Have you ever tried to jump something on a bicycle?

Everything is available on their website: www.evelknievelmuseum.com/
