Diamond Gamer ranged was merged with throwing so its technically ranged if you think about it
dynamite doesn't have a damage stat for a specific class, so it's just a utility.

@@amanjii701 He's saying that the slime saddle isn't fool proof and that invincibility is therefore less valid. He's dumb for saying that and you're dumb for not understanding what he was talking about.
Amanjii_ He basically said that you can screw up the slimy saddle method, but clicking a button is pretty easy.
To the people saying he shouldn't have used God mode
He's speed running journey mode, and thus, using the features the game mode comes with
This includes duping
God mode
Changing time
Adjusting mob spawn rate
And changing difficulty
So, according to speed running rules, that's not cheating, it's within its category restrictions
Yeah, a journey mode speed run is meant to just be super fast, not to follow a typical games mechanics. But I would like to see a journey mode run without god mode eventually

@@hellothere2880 it isn't a journey mode speedrun,i know it's more exciting if you don't use god mode,but if it is in the category people will always use to get more time,dying in the middle of the run or lots of times require quite some time,if you want a run like this i sugest a normal mode run

He is using all the features that Journey Mode have, if you want to see a speedrun without that make it yourself or go to see all the other terraria speedruns that doesn't have God mode.

Man there were so many cool strats; retinazer despawn, day night cycle, mastermode switch mid-boss, and now bunnies instead of ducks. Journey mode has really optimized speedruns. Good job, very cool stuff.

@@Nana_Hare He filled the mob cap with bunnies so the pillars couldn't spawn. This way he skips those anda goes straight to moon lord
@@Nana_Hare The vortex pillars which will not spawn so it will go straight to moon lord. It saves a lot of time because the vortex pillars spawn throughout the map and youd have to go to each one otherwise
@@pissclub the fighting of the *celestial* pillars is what would have been the real time burner, not so much the travel... but damm that bunny strat is completely doable now without journey mode tbh, especially since you just catch all the bunnies again when ur done

There are so many amazing strategies used in this run, it's hard to believe that the update hadn't even been out for a week! I can't wait to see future optimizations for this run, it's very different from other terraria runs!

This will be a fun category to optimize since it's all about how quickly you can find/do things whereas other difficulties/categories require more rng luck, and time building arenas
Imagine getting mad that someone did a journeys mode speed run and used the tools that journeys mode gave them to their advantage when it was specified that they would be using journeys mode. The fact that people are comparing this to a minecraft creative speedrun is astounding.

People really be out here essentially complaining anyone could do this cause god mode. If that's the case you do it. The great part about easy speedrun categories is anyone can do them. Plus this run does use some concepts that others don't. Dynamite to kill most bosses. Night day switching for mechanical bosses. Despawning one of the twins... Had no idea that was possible. Opening bags and inventory management while moving with the mount for extra speed. Opening bags and hovering over items on ground for reforges. The bunnies and monsters to stop pillars from spawning. If you find this a boring run you're a boring person and weren't paying attention
I thought they patched the twins despawning glitch. I managed to do it once by accident while fighting. I still died tho...

Will you do a 'for the worthy' master mode speed run?
Is there any concern for finding a speed running seed? Is the Crimson AND corruption seed useful in this regard?
We banned easter egg seeds from speedruns on the leaderboard because they do give advantage from other seeds.
So not really interested.

Corruption in normal speed runs gives you the scarf, while the crimson gives you bullshit (brain of confusion).
But for journey no matter if it’s corruption or crimson cuz you can activate inmortal mode and there you go

@@MM31-TheCatOfHatred personally, I think 1/6 chance to dodge damage is better than flat damage reduction (depends obviously), but I'm fairly sure that speedrunners will come up with strats good enough to not care if you have scarf or brain of confusion

For everyone getting mad about god mode etc. this is a journey speed run seeing how fast he can beat it using journey powers and such, if he wanted to beat it without god mode he could Make it journey no god mode or something

I feel like speedruning journeys mode is just stopid and effortless. Im not speedrunner my self so I dont know how much effort you put into this but isnt it just dumb to use god mode the whole time? Im ok with journeys mod without the god mode. Im not a speedrunner and you didnt marked any category like %any or other stuff so I dont know if there is a different category or not. Can you please mark what mode this is like %journey or %godmode or something like this? yea journeys end is new so I dont know if there are any categories please answer if you can. xxx
journey is separate from other difficulties, but no distinctions for godmode/no godmode. The category is, technically, in the title.
This run was a ~4 hour effort, but claimed WR for a week in this now popular category. Glitchless normal run coming tomorrow :)

One strat I like for quick endless platinum is to get enough money to buy the forest pylon from the merchant, research that, and then sell the stack of 999 pylons
or research coins
@@URBOIPHONE Yeah but that's kinda slow. Although they made it so you need the nurse to get the pylon now so it's not as quick to get all that plat.

for quicker kills you can spawn the bosses in journey mode then change the difficulty to master mode which keeps their health but changes the drops to fit mastermode

If you pause the time between 5:00 and 12:00 then the Travelling Merchant instantly moves in
they should add some explosives themed potions/armor/accessories, for example an accessory that lowers the cooldown when throwing dynamite to 50% or maybe 30% of the base time
