Wilbur's flag has a hidden benefit: it pairs excellently with camouflage cloak, because it neutralises the stun resist debuff and brings your total dodge boost to +25.
Wilbur's Flag + Crew's Bell on a MaA makes the garden guardian fight trivial. I farmed all CC trinkets in one day like that, with a Shieldbreaker using the +40% dmg to stonework trinket.
Recovery charm is NUTS for healing with food. If you keep an inventory slot open you can swap it and a health boosting trinket to whoever needs healing and significantly improve both the healing you get from food or lessen the amount of food you need to heal to full. Definitely one of the best trinkets from a resource conservation standpoint.
My favorite use for the quick draw charm is to put on a MAA. Let him bellow on turn 1 for an early dodge debuff and turn 2 the lower speed doesn't matter anymore.
Hey friend , couldnt agree more except for 2 items : - Ancestral Pistol : 15 ranged acc and 3 speed are fat stats for only 10% stress, I use it pretty much all the time when I have it on my houndmasters and Vestales, both need a bit of accuracy, and speed on a healer or stress healer is great as u want those char to act before finishing off the last mobs when recovering. Also works great with their stuns. - Quickdraw Charm : It took me a long time before using this item , but now I am a big fan. Actually its main use for me is not in a burst team but in a dancing team. For exemple if I wanna make sure my Highwayman plays before my Shieldbreaker cause I have a Hellion in 1st rank in a duelist advance setup. Then Quickdraw charm will guarantee me to setup my riposte on the first round without screwing up my party. It s like a fix for not super well rounded dancing setup and I love it for that. When u need stuff to go exactly in an order for ur team to work properly then quickdraw charm is there for you. So imo it deserves a better ranking solely for that reason cause it enables team that on paper shouldnt work and its the only item in the game with that power , and also it has other uses as u mentioned. But anyway its just details and also preference , thank you for taking the time to show us ur list was a nice watch
Pistol on Vestal is pretty awesome, I certainly hadn't considered that. Someone in a viewer run used quickdraw on HWM so he had the crit boost on riposte for the entire round which was really smart and eye opening. Thanks for the insightful comment :)
At 14:50: Sometimes I pick Hero's Ring when I use Junia's head on my Vestal because of the additional stress causing the vestal to reach 100 stress faster. The good thing about Hero's Ring is that even if succeeds/fail, you can just swap the Hero's Ring with somebody else in your party who currently has the highest stress and at least try to utilize it again. I'll admit it will suck if it fails and becomes deadweight but at least you can swap it with somebody else to try again.
I usually take a Berserk Charm if my character has an innate acc bonus or with Hellion's Hell's Hairpin - the speed is very valuable for taking out backline stressers swiftly
I was about to say that! Playing on torchless, I usually stay with berserk charms for most of my runs, only in champion dungeons do I have better options. The hellion is at exactly this speed where nudging her over the edge just a little makes her go first most of the time which is essential in torchless since stressdealers are the real killers. In champion they usually have some speed quirk and I go hairpin + moon ring. Berserk charm is also really good with sun/moon ring for killing enemies before they act.
Ethereal Crux on a Flagellant is great for the Cove. For me, Cleansing Crystal keeps the Occultist from bleeding out party members worse than any Crimson Court denizen ever could...
This is no questions asked best trinket for cove imo, just have to be put on heroes with more hp, that's it, and he said that he's scared to use it so it's a B trinket, lol.
For 27:30: For the Ancestor Portrait, there are times when one of my heroes accidentally die and I need to train a new guy and get him up to speed quickly, so I would use the Ancestral Portrait to quickly get resolve levels. I combine it with the Ancestor Tentacle Idol to get additional virtue chance because he's going to hit 100 stress really quickly and the additional deathblow resist because low level heroes will die very quickly as well. But this is the only way I use Ancestor Portrait and Ancestor Tentacle Idol and it's super specific. I managed to get my level 0 Leper to survive the Formless Flesh and the last Necromancer fight to get him to level 4 and then level 6
I disagree with the pistol trinket being in the b tier. I find it very useful for vestal and occultist to hit enemies more reliably with stun moves and the bonus +3 movement will ensure that they will act first.
Tempting Goblet shines on Antiquarian if you are going for a dodge comp. Makes sure that the dodge starts stacking before enemy movements and the high dodge negates a lot of the stress downside. Then the +hp helps guard the antiquarian against getting dropped to 0 by a rogue crit. But that is just about the only time you would use it. For just about everything else feathered is just better.
The ancestor's portrait totally saved my ass on my Stygian run. I took a late game death to an essential party member and needed to power level a back up for my final composition.
Berserk Charm pairs really well on Hellion with Heaven's Hairpin. Both the negative accuracy and stress penalty are entirely negated such that you get net 5 accuracy, -10% stress, 3 speed and 15% damage at 75+ light. The only downside is the -10% virtue chance, which is almost irrelevant.
just getting into darkest dungeon after leaving it on the backburner for like two years and your videos are fantastically put together and actively make me want to go back and play another six hours straight of it
Special shout out to the Corvid's eye: This is, next to the ancestor's map and moon ring, hands-down the best item in torchless. Scouting AND accuracy? Hell yeah! All the shrieker items also have the upside of resisting crimson curse pretty hard when the infestation levels are high, but you're not ready for a courtyard boss yet because you need to level a character. The other ones are pretty neat, too as they offer very specific strong upsides. The crit + bleed one e.g. shines on the flagellant.
@@ShuffleFM I was wondering that too, but somebody on the subreddit looking into the code confirmed that it does. All I have personally is anexdotal evidence like the impression that only maybe every 5th crimson course check goes through on guys that wear the shrieker trinkets on torchless. The garlic does something similar and is thus fittingly another very good option against the vampire infestation.
i sometimes do some fun stuff with quickdraw ring where i give it to a jester who then buffs everyones speed on turn 1. i don't know if it's the most optimal strategy possible, but it feels great, especially if you also have like a leper with stacked crit-chance
Barristan's head is S tier but with a condition. Put it on any charracter with photomania quirk (-20% stress if torch above 75) or any Adventurer quirks (-20% stress in specific place) then boom free +25% prot without any +stress.. that's insanely good man. If you can find a Antiquarian with photomania + hard skin, put on Barristan's head + Carapace Idol that means +60% prot total. You can see where im going with this right?
My vote for the best trinket in the game is actually the Ancestor's lantern. I value going first above all else, and when you can surprise the enemy everyone on your team gets to go before the enemy has a chance. This allows you to potentially get kills/stuns/set up DOTs before enemy movement, decreasing enemy attacks on your party AND allowing you to dictate the pace of the match. Going first also means you don't have to spend your whole first turn reacting to the enemy shitting on your party, especially on champion runs. Did I mention this trinket also decreases the chances of your party being shuffled, thus setting you back even further? Truly powerful. Combine this with some good scouting off camping skills, other trinkets like ancestor's map, and/or the cartographer's camp and IMO you have something that increases your success rate far past anything else in the game.
I have been getting a lot of success with Quick Draw Claw on darkest difficulty. Most of early to mid game I am running 1-2 of them on most non-boss missions. Combined with the turn 1 quirk, it can clear fights at exceedingly high speeds, often 1-2 turning hallway fights and 2-3 turning bigger fights. The massive amount of crit chance on it also translates to stress healing. Main two characters that seem to benefit from it the most are Vestal and Crusader. Vestal can get a turn 1 heal before all/most characters can act or go for a stun before the enemy acts. Crusader can also have enough speed for turn 1 to get stun off then guarantee it will always go last.
Late comment, but at 4:44. You have also talked before how you usually take into consideration when the item's pros and cons work against or empower each other. Arguably, the 8 dodge (and I guess the speed in terms of killing stuff faster than they hit you) negates the negative stun resist, as you should get less stun checks, from dodged attacks. Same can be said for move resist, but like you said, -mr, isn't really that big of a deal
I could argue that Mildred's locket even S tier, just because of the fact that if one of your heroes have it equipped, Miller will sometimes just skip his turn and debuff himself. Its actually good if you struggle at farmstead, but you want to buy some other CoM trinkets, like the Shieldbreaker one.
i would honestly rather hear all the rambles about this and that, it's just really interesting to hear all of your many insights and tips. Good video :D
Great videos as always! It honestly wasted potential how the devs overlooked the trinkets side of the game so much. Considering how so many rare / very rare trinkets got outmatched by class trinkets or even uncommon ones. Especially jarring with the useless boss and DLC trinkets since they are sooo hard to even get (and sometime even harder to utilize) Having almost hundred of trinkets to choose from is very nice and make the game feels fresh, but consider that only, what - maybe ~20 of them are even usable in late game makes you feel like most of the trinkets are just random bullshits that you sell for money instead of valuables rewarded to you. If only their bonuses and downsides are balanced as effective as the heroes with how they are as big a part of the game.
The quick draw charm is one of those setup trinkets that can make your turn one insane. Throw it on a hellion with breakthrough(she was probably going last anyways so -speed is less bad) and she can just crit 3 enemies for 35.
The two food trinkets allow you to stay in dungeons a lot longer since it reduces food consumed during food checks. With 1 equipped, 12 food will last through 4 food checks instead of 3. And with 2 equipped 12 food will allow you to stay in the dungeon through 6 food checks! This allows you go leave all loot uncollected until after all enemies are dead, so you can backtrack in total darkness and collect all the treasure. By waiting until enemies are dead before collecting loot, you can make room in your inventory for more loot. (E.g., if you know there is no need for keys in any of the curios, you can replace keys with loot.
I actually like the prophet's eye on my vestal. Since she's not killing, she's most likely to stress out, so the minus stress helps a lot. And the accuracy helps a lot with landing those stuns. The speed lets you act before your guys which is especially nice in recovery rounds. It also negates the additional stress gain from ancestor's scroll or Junia's head.
About the Quick Draw CHarm , I actually always use it with Man-At- Arms to Bellow the enemy (with debuff trinket) for my Leper. Giving Leper Crit and Acc , this is a deadly combo!I can recommend anyone to try it and please don't sell your Quick Draw Charm xD. And Ty Shuffle for the list , I agree with almost everything else , great list and ty for your time to create it!
There's also one aspect of the Cleansing Crystal that you left out. If you're primarily using Occultist for healing, Cleansing Crystal actually helps offset the Bleed Chance for Wyrd Reconstruction.
Uh oh.... Today I just realised how 'Deathblow resist' works when hearing Shuffle talk about 'Martyr's seal'..... I've got a few hundred hours in the game and it NEVER occurred to me that 'deathblow RESIST' was a GOOD thing. Holy heck I always sold it for gold. I am an idiot sandwich 🥪
The problem with mark parties is you're regularly sacrificing turns for setups. The advantage with mark parties is you gain very consistent results. If you take a high damage no-mark party, such as highwayman, crusader, leper, etc, you're ending fights much faster. However, you don't get the reliable crits and crushing blows of a bounty hunter.
The quick draw charm is even more terrible because the +8 speed is almost entirely irrelevant if the enemy is surprised since you go first. So you would be better off with a scouting trinket.
Tempting Goblet seems bad when you first glance at it, but it can honestly be in A pretty easily. It's like MADE for the Flag. Gives him speed and max hp, both of which the Flag wants, and Rapturous is probably the best affliction, plus Flag can't go virtuous anyway, so those two stats aren't that much of a big deal on him as they are on others. I almost always use Goblet when I bring a Flag, especially when I go to a place that isn't super heavy with stress like the Weald where the Flag is super good.
Berserk Charm is pretty amazing on Arb. She already has high accuracy on her skills and it gives her speed and damage, both of which she needs. The stress is a little scary so best to bring a Jester with her (also for ballad to even further boost accuracy and speed!)
Having multiple heroes with berserk charms paired up accuracy Trinkets like focus ring, calming crystal, steady bracer, (Hound, Arb, Vest), or even surgeons gloves can be really powerful throughout all the Dungeons. Unlike the Quickdraw charm, your characters can go first throughout the entire fight, and still get regular surprises. You can usually burst down or lock up any stress dealers with the right composition. I agree with you entirely on the Ethereal Crucifix vs the eldritch slayer ring. Though
No way is eldritch slayer S but crucifix is only A, it's straight up way better on any high health damage dealer, notably crusader and leper but honestly I'd take it over the ring even on things like highwayman and grave robber almost every time
Disagree on virtue ring. It is bad if you let it sit on one guy, but if you swap it between fights to whoever has the highest stress it can be great. If you have a good stress-prevention trinket then you can cycle them around the party to control who pops next.
I put necro mancers collar and dismas head on grave robber for the Crew bossfight. Together with double stun from occultist, I basically just meltet the boss with no chance for him to anchor. Was very satisfying.
The lens of the commet is really good on the Shieldbreaker for the nightmares I think 1) no downside side she can't become heroic 2) The stealth bypassing is good
I personally like pistol very much, and even try to get it early on in my runs - well, as early as you can get non-shambler ancestral trinket. Only singet ring has highter priority for me (I don't like pen that much, sorry) Massive speed AND accuracy boost just feels so nice... for my vestals. Without it, vestal can barely hit stuff in high level dungeons, and severely lacks speed (quirks could help, but you don't always have them). With it - you are good to go. Throw in some cheap stun trinket with fast hight-dmg party, and you always have some useful things to do while you don't need to heal. With a slower party you might want some healing trinket instead of stun chance, but pistol is still awesome. You have proper speed to save people, you can last hit low hp enemies with judgement. Hell, you can even still stun at least enemies with low resist without missing half the time. Occultist can use it too sometimes (hello, shrieker), but , yea, he will have better options eventually , and he just don't need those stats in that much quantity.
thanks for these vids. I wish there was a part 4/3 for the backer / kickstarter trinkets because some of those are really bizzare and there's a few hundred
Kid: Can we have Focus ring? Mom: No we have Focus ring at home. Focus Ring at home: Signet Ring real talk signet ring paired with Focus ring on a leper makes him almost never miss and he crits 24/7, added with the bonus defnse from Signet, make the leper a beast.
I feel like you might be a little biased on sun ring because it's been nerfed. I would put it at least A tier as it's quite good and the condition is easy to keep up
I agree with most of your decisions. However, 2 of them have superior niche uses & I’ll briefly explain what those are below. The Tempting Goblet is ridiculously good for low survival classes that want to go 1st such as Antiquarian & Jester. It combines the stats of 2 trinkets essentially giving someone 3 trinket slots. The downsides are insignificant for heroes that are most concerned with survival & going 1st. The 2nd is Sniper’s Ring. The minus 2 speed is essential for fixing turn orders, and 15 accuracy is essential for low accuracy heroes hitting the enemy’s back line. I use it with 2 Crusaders that alternate using Holy Lance on the back line, & with HWM / Crusader or BH / HM.
I still don't think there is enough of a power difference to justify more than 4 or 5 tiers. I add a 5th for the last video because some class trinkets do get crazy.
16:25 I hate martyr's seal since I put it on my flagellant (who also had bonus death resitstance from one of his quirks) and he died after he got crit from almost max hp to death door and didn't even survive one check. lmao
With the ethereal crucifix it’s actually percentage base so I’ve started running it on occultist bc he already gets bonus against eldritch so he’s doing a lot more damage making it actually an ok trinket if you arent running him in front and maybye in the back and could you combine it with eldritch slayer ring? For more damage
How on earth is Ancestor's pistol B and Prophet's Eye A when every backliner is ranged anyway so Prophet's Eye is literally Ancestor's Pistol with an extra 5% stress
I admittedly undervalued pistol here, but you can do melee stuff from rank 4 like holy lance and duelist advance dance teams so it isn't just ranged heroes :P
I use Bar's Head on protect me Riposte highwayman early game, it seems to be the head I generally find first and the prot really noticeably helps with longevity
@@ShuffleFM wow, that's a fast reply! Yea, I interpreted it as the "don't use tier" so I get it. It's ironic how the Shrieker is so greedy, yet his trinkets sell for 1 gold. On the other hand, it's thematic. He's a hoarder of all useless junk, so you'll be hoarding his useless junk too, since it's pointless to sell them! Nice flavor, imo.
Ethereal crucifix shouldn't be competing with Eldritch slayer's ring because you should be stacking them. If you put both of those babies on an Occultist in the Cove, you get a fat +75% dmg with Abyssal artillery which means your party can one-shot both backliners if you surprise the enemies.
i dont really agree with hero rings placement in B, it is essential for virtue farming which is a common strategy and even outside of that on high stress dungeons assuming you trinket swap to the hero with most stress it is on average +1 virtues per party. base chance 25% (avg 1 virtue 3 afflictions) with heroes ring 50% (avg 2 virtue 2 affliction) and a virtue is usually worth a trinket slot if you are assuming everyone gets to stress 100, especially if you have a antiquarian to hold extra trinkets. i would say it is on the low side of S tier for how relevant it is in virtue farming and its value in general.
I think wilburs flag is really good only 5 less dodge than ancestors with no stress and 50% stun resist basically means your healer or jester basically never get stunned, I put it on jester on endless and attacks like paralyzing shard and stunning secretions weren't stunning
My Issue with mark is it would be intuitively good against bosses and enemies with very high health pools, but many bosses (not all) have multiple attacks per round so any marks drop off quickly reducing their effectiveness. I enjoy using mark strategies, but you don't want to use them for most runs.
I like sun cloak for my super supporty heroes that dont do a lot of direct damage, like plague doctor or back line buffing MAA, though for damage dealers or front line tanks i do agree that its pretty awful
Thanks, i was thinking the same. Especially in early mid game if you happen to find it. Yes it's a rare but if you don't have any other defensive trinkets, i agree i use this trinket a lot.
Shield breaker with serpent sway can make good use of the Crucifix since aegis doesn’t block bleed Edit: and shield breaker also happens to already be good against eldritch :)
Thanks for this. It's odd since a lot of people rank sniper's ring as S class. I was debating getting that vs a caregiver's convention. Think I'm going with caregivers... got a lot of quirks I want to lock :P Lost way too many and it feels bad.
I'm curious why you rated the sun cloak sell tier when you always like to point out how even 5%prot always rounds up. Personally I really love it in the courtyard where there's high torch and the chance to get cursed when you get hit. Had it on an entire team on the Viscount and Countess my last run and I feel it really helped a lot with not getting cursed. Might be survivor bias of course.
Because once it gets into blue it has to fight against some good class trinkets and other blue trinkets, so shaving off 1 damage with some dodge for bonus stress isn't as good. The dodge against curse is a nice thing to have thougb
Strongly disagree about the virtue items. If u have a jester in any difficult long dungeons (all CC, darkest dungeon 3 and farmstead.) you can virtue farm 4 people (reducing the stress back with jester) with the 2 items (swapping in between battles between the team members) and then just leave jester with them, cause jester as a buffer doesn't really need trinkets, and the buffs for virtues are so incredible op (some are better then 2 trinkets). It isn't worth at all in normal dungeons, tho
Love your content in terms of DD knowledge and insight. But a part of me comes here just to hear your turn of phrases e.g., “not enough juice in that squeeze”
Ancestor Lantern is unconditionally S no oppinions allowed on that(I sound like dick but yeah idc). How do you put that below is beyond me. That thing stacks with stuff like camping skills that give another 20% for dodging ambush and making ambush respectivelly. I had runs Champion dungeons where I basically ambushed with max torch in EVERY fight. You can't even get close to this trinket. The only real downside is that it is worthless against bosses you aint gonna ambush them... BUT since it will save you tons of HP / stress on way to them so it still affects boss fight indirectly but to great effect. Hands down VERY best trinket ABOVE S tier. Also you missed Tempting goblet on Flagellant who ... is afflicted diffrently but you still get bonuses! Basically imo it is his "class" trinket.
Ancestor's lantern is probably strongest trinket in entire game. at max light, its 45% chance to surprise. with bounty hunter's camp skill, it becomes 55%. at 1 light, you have 25% chance to be surprised, this reduces it to 5% and at 0 light, it is 40%, so this reduces it to 20%. If stacked with book of intuition, it will be 0% at 0 light. In many ways, you never need scouting with this.
I feel like the human slayer ring is B and the Undead is A. After all, you can equip the undead ring in the ruins and be perfectly fine unless you go for a boss or in torchless (Sh*****r). But when do you really equip a human slayer ring? There's no "human" dungeon.
Weald has a lot of humans, so does warrens. I based my reasoning off that ruins enemies usually aren't that threatening, but it is nice to have guaranteed damage to go through it quickly so maybe it could have been A.
@@ShuffleFM But would you really equip a human slayer ring in the warrens or weald given that there are so many enemies that are unaffected by these 25% while they always get the -8 dodge? Remember that you get these rare trinkets at a point where you already have quite a collection to choose from. Personally I just never used that ring while I've used all the others semi-regularely.
There are only a few enemies not affected by it in these regions. Then there are shared enemies like bandits and cultists which are primarily human as well. With that said you are still better off taking a beast slayer ring into the warrens, but I think manslayer is still the go to for weald. Eldritch and beast are generally better though.
You didn't mention the Occultist's Wyrd constryction with the cleansinf crystal, it's the best occultist healing trinket! ^^ Also really helps him in pos 1/2 with tanking which is where he is strongest anyways due to hands from the abyss
Every trinket has a situation where it can be great for the character it's on, depending on what strategy you lean into and which characters are taking into the dungeon. That being said, there's often a lot more places where each trinket can be mediocre or detrimental. After a certain point, I started always checking trinkets before I went into a mission, just in case I had something that wasn't going to help much in that area, or that I wanted to keep safe because I wasn't going to use that strategy much.
I agree with most of this, but i gotta say, bro you're smoking rocks if you think ancestor pistol is B tier. That plus Spiked Collar goes on my houndmaster 100% of the time. Whether its mark, bleed, or beast, he ALWAYS appreciates that. And HM is one of the best characters, only a bit below HWM. It only going on 1 character could kick it out of S, maybe. But for HM, it is an easy S. Also, im fine with it in B, but major shoutout to shrieker talon on Flagellant. Its so good on him, in certain cases its arguably worth it to play in low light.

It is pretty good for her, I agree. The only other time I have used it consistently is for Jester.
The only downside is the -10% virtue chance, which is almost irrelevant.
i really like that you show the stats of the trinkets, really helpful for a long comfy viewing
just getting into darkest dungeon after leaving it on the backburner for like two years and your videos are fantastically put together and actively make me want to go back and play another six hours straight of it
Special shout out to the Corvid's eye: This is, next to the ancestor's map and moon ring, hands-down the best item in torchless.
Does disease resist help against crimson curse? I know it is a disease but I forget if resist matters against it.
And now my hour of life is gone
I'll treat it well
My vote for the best trinket in the game is actually the Ancestor's lantern.
Pistol is kind of amazing on Plague Doctor tho
You know I never even considered that. That is pretty good.
until you get blasphemous vial, which is everything that Doc need
Until you get prophet’s eye
@@1God1Fury both...??!?
@@slushisimcambi2521 too much stress (+35 combine)
Same can be said for move resist, but like you said, -mr, isn't really that big of a deal
your voice is so good, that I would listen to you talking about modded classes
I want to talk about mod classes at some point. There are just so many of them and I don't have enough familiarity yet.
Good video :D
that's a pretty funny joke about dismas head being in B lol
I've since reversed this idea
Great videos as always!
It honestly wasted potential how the devs overlooked the trinkets side of the game so much. Considering how so many rare / very rare trinkets got outmatched by class trinkets or even uncommon ones. Especially jarring with the useless boss and DLC trinkets since they are sooo hard to even get (and sometime even harder to utilize)
Having almost hundred of trinkets to choose from is very nice and make the game feels fresh, but consider that only, what - maybe ~20 of them are even usable in late game makes you feel like most of the trinkets are just random bullshits that you sell for money instead of valuables rewarded to you.
Prophet's is great on her. Like you said going early every round lets her get clutch heals or setup stuns.
Just discovered your channel after reinvigorating my interest for the game, incredible content, subbed! :->
Though
Fought a Shambler on a Easy Level 0 dungeon and got the Map first try, I put that on the Antiquarian or the Vestal since it's a new run
No way is eldritch slayer S but crucifix is only A, it's straight up way better on any high health damage dealer, notably crusader and leper but honestly I'd take it over the ring even on things like highwayman and grave robber almost every time
Wow i was not expecting this video to be posted so soon 😮 thanks for the hard work 🙌
I love putting Ethereal Crusifix on Occultist in Cove. The bleed resist also helps with the bleed inflicted by his heal
Disagree on virtue ring. It is bad if you let it sit on one guy, but if you swap it between fights to whoever has the highest stress it can be great. If you have a good stress-prevention trinket then you can cycle them around the party to control who pops next.
I'm looking forward to your Mark Party Combo criticisms'.
For me, it's the best way for me to nuke the Shrieker & other annoying bosses.
The Tempting Goblet is useful if you're using Flagellant, especially if you have the Eternity's Collar.
I put necro mancers collar and dismas head on grave robber for the Crew bossfight.
Together with double stun from occultist, I basically just meltet the boss with no chance for him to anchor. Was very satisfying.
The lens of the commet is really good on the Shieldbreaker for the nightmares I think
1) no downside side she can't become heroic
2) The stealth bypassing is good
I personally like pistol very much, and even try to get it early on in my runs - well, as early as you can get non-shambler ancestral trinket. Only singet ring has highter priority for me (I don't like pen that much, sorry)
Massive speed AND accuracy boost just feels so nice... for my vestals.
That would take so long ~_~
Thanks for watching!
Loved this video, gave a lot of insight to things I never considered!
Recovery Charm is kinda insane with Flagellant’s self heals
Kid: Can we have Focus ring?
Mom: No we have Focus ring at home.
Focus Ring at home: Signet Ring
real talk signet ring paired with Focus ring on a leper makes him almost never miss and he crits 24/7, added with the bonus defnse from Signet, make the leper a beast.
I feel like you might be a little biased on sun ring because it's been nerfed. I would put it at least A tier as it's quite good and the condition is easy to keep up
I really enjoy your content
Wanna hear something funny? My weird ass has been using snipers ring on all my vestals. They honestly have been pumping out crits tho.
Crits give little buffs so anything helps! Unconventional strats are some of the most fun.
"I don't have a B+ tier because I think plus and minus is stupid"
Gee, if only there was some way to add more tiers.
What does that have to do with what he said? lol
I still don't think there is enough of a power difference to justify more than 4 or 5 tiers. I add a 5th for the last video because some class trinkets do get crazy.
personally there are 3 tiers for everything, "Good, Bad, Situational" you can make a tier list from A to Z but they all fall into one of these 3 tiers
16:25 I hate martyr's seal since I put it on my flagellant (who also had bonus death resitstance from one of his quirks) and he died after he got crit from almost max hp to death door and didn't even survive one check. lmao
Sometimes it do be like that
With the ethereal crucifix it’s actually percentage base so I’ve started running it on occultist bc he already gets bonus against eldritch so he’s doing a lot more damage making it actually an ok trinket if you arent running him in front and maybye in the back and could you combine it with eldritch slayer ring? For more damage
How on earth is Ancestor's pistol B and Prophet's Eye A when every backliner is ranged anyway so Prophet's Eye is literally Ancestor's Pistol with an extra 5% stress
I admittedly undervalued pistol here, but you can do melee stuff from rank 4 like holy lance and duelist advance dance teams so it isn't just ranged heroes :P
No. Prophet's eye is -15%, so the difference is 25% in the eyes favor.
It is strictly better for rank 4
Fortifying garlic support flagelant hits different
I don't understand why countess fan exists when recovery charm also exists.
I use Bar's Head on protect me Riposte highwayman early game, it seems to be the head I generally find first and the prot really noticeably helps with longevity
I use tough ring on vestals all the time it's rly good
How could a Shrieker trinket be Sell tier when it only sells for 1 (one) gold? At that point I'd just keep it for the collection.
Sell tier is mostly to show that it's junk, but I didn't know it sold for 1 lol
Recovery charm is S tier. One of the trinkets you must being on every mission if you have it.
i dont really agree with hero rings placement in B, it is essential for virtue farming which is a common strategy and even outside of that on high stress dungeons assuming you trinket swap to the hero with most stress it is on average +1 virtues per party.
base chance 25% (avg 1 virtue 3 afflictions)
with heroes ring 50% (avg 2 virtue 2 affliction)
and a virtue is usually worth a trinket slot if you are assuming everyone gets to stress 100, especially if you have a antiquarian to hold extra trinkets.
i would say it is on the low side of S tier for how relevant it is in virtue farming and its value in general.
To me, ethereal crucifix’s -20% Hp sounds a lot more scary than it is, pop it on crus or leper and the -20% really feels like nothing
I think wilburs flag is really good only 5 less dodge than ancestors with no stress and 50% stun resist basically means your healer or jester basically never get stunned, I put it on jester on endless and attacks like paralyzing shard and stunning secretions weren't stunning
Signet ring gets that much more value with hardened skin. 1/5th dmg reduction instead of 1/10th is huge.
The math checks out.
My Issue with mark is it would be intuitively good against bosses and enemies with very high health pools, but many bosses (not all) have multiple attacks per round so any marks drop off quickly reducing their effectiveness. I enjoy using mark strategies, but you don't want to use them for most runs.
Watched this whole video just to see where you put signet ring, was not disappointed
Thank you for not just skipping to it :)
@@ShuffleFM nah ur tier lists are fire and helped me get a grasp of what I now know as "new darkest dungeon"
Shield breaker with serpent sway can make good use of the Crucifix since aegis doesn’t block bleed
Edit: and shield breaker also happens to already be good against eldritch :)
@@ShuffleFM Ah ok, interesting. So would you go with the camouflage cloak on let's say your antoquarian or houndmaster over a sun cloak?
Honestly yeah. Especially since they have more access to dodge and have good base dodge.
@@ShuffleFM Makes sense. I must admit I'm still sometimes succeptible to the when-in-doubt-take-the-higher-rarity-effect. xD
Im here again, will save the video to see later cuz now im reading, but always with the like, keep going
i got the map on my second quest on my first play through lol
Overture box with focus ring people, thats the way
fan of sniper ring on a rabies arbelest since the acc bonus neutralizes the rabies penalty thus free 10% damage and some crit
Love your content in terms of DD knowledge and insight. But a part of me comes here just to hear your turn of phrases e.g., “not enough juice in that squeeze”
Pistol is easy S tier the dodge on champ dungeons is really high and the pistol helps tremendously
Good work on this video.
Vulf's camp and some human bosses say hello
@@koromazov My bad, you're right. That said, aside from that one dungeon, it seems quite useless.
You didn't mention the Occultist's Wyrd constryction with the cleansinf crystal, it's the best occultist healing trinket! ^^
Also really helps him in pos 1/2 with tanking which is where he is strongest anyways due to hands from the abyss
I got first draw from veteren warren in the last few weeks only so my man at arms can guard my vestal on dd level 2
Could you do an Endless Farmstead guide, going over comps, trinkets and tactics etc.?
No promises, but if I can make it happen I will. I have a lot of other things I want to finish before dd2 comes out.
@@ShuffleFM Thanks man, I really like your in depths videos and would love some knowledge against those damn husks!
