This is why I have a huge appreciation for the 90’s and 2000 games, they always loved to hide stuff like this within the game that took us decades to discover.
The Sakura Wars games are famous for having all of the dialogue choices be timed, sometimes even with a single choice and a QTE-like fast clock. Timing out is also a dialogue option, and it's *usually* the worst possible choice, but once or twice per game it is actually the correct one. Know when to keep your mouth shut!
