- This is my official Captain Jack Sparrow cosplay. This is how I properly prep to gear up as the captain himself. It takes me roughly around 1 hr 30 min. to get ready.
There are still some items in my cosplay that I intend to upgrade. This is where I stand thus far with my gear, though. This will stand as a progression video for myself.
Aaron will begin his collection of Sparrow gear soon. He should be reviewing his wig, compass, and hat soon. His intentions are to achieve the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest look.

It does take time, but for the complete look, as screen accurate as possible, it’s well worth the man hours. It’s truly appreciated to see it in its glory, savvy?

How long is the front and back of your waistcoat? And how tall are you? I’m having trouble with measurements for mine, haha

i just noticed isn’t the anna maria belt buckle on the left not the right on your point of view bc i always wear it like that
That is a very good question. I’ve noticed that a few sparrows mix this up and it is common to, when you go to put the buckles on. Though you would think that the anna maria is on the left point of view, it isn’t. the sunflower belt buckle is closest to your left hip. The anna maria belt buckle is closest to your right hip. The anna maria belt is underneath the sunflower belt. in the video, that is how Jack wears his belts and buckles. I hope that wasn’t confusing and helped a bit. Cheers, mate!

Awesome, mate! Yes, I can do that for sure. Most of these items are commission, rather than a straight forward purchase, so these wonderful artists may take their time to construct these masterpiece items.

Hello, @ShadowTheHedgewolf, the mannequin that I am using is purchased through this link. The head I am using, however is a standard foam head that I have velcroed onto the mannequin.

@Andy Silva, the wig isn’t UK based. The seller is based in the United States. Price usually varies, according to different versions/films, synthetic hair or human hair, etc. This wig in the video is human hair and based on the COTBP film. I paid a bit more for it, being it is human hair. If you aren’t spending at least around $300 on a Sparrow wig, it may not be entirely screen accurate. Which is fine. Whatever your preference may be.
