What Sharon just said, actually made me cry. I’m a military wife, first 15 years of my marriage. My husband was never home. I was a single mom. He has more tours than anybody I know. But now he has a job that has him home all the time, and him and I are so close that I honestly think I would die within days if he did. It is only a moment in time. She is so right. Fighting for marriage is worth it!
Hearing what Robin Williams did for sharon made me fill up with tears. What a beautiful bloke. He was one of my childhood favourites

My best memorys are sitting down to watch the Osborne's with my family when i was 14. Time was so different back then . Those were some great days for me.
I think a lot of people today view marriage like dating. If they hit a rough spot they give up. Every elderly couple I know that are still married all had rough patches but they actually got through it and are happy they did. Marriage isn’t easy. I’ve been married 28 years and we’ve had times that were hard but we always get through it and it always brings us closer. (I’m not saying anyone being abused should stay).

People start relationships delusional and have unrealistic expectations. Everything is romanticized for the first few years. Then suddenly they wake up and see the real person with all their flaws. Learning to allow others to make mistakes and accepting our own mistakes is the real work...We always think we should be forgiven but it's hard to forgive others. Ozzy and Sharron always share something new about the miracles in there life together that have kept them together. Love the Osbournes podcast.

I absolutely love this conversation! I’ve been with my husband since we were 15, married at 18. And it was NOT happily ever after- but after 26 years married now- we made it work. My husband and I met when I was 14 and he was 16. Been together ever since. I'm now 51 and he is 53. Married 32 years. Four kids and four grandkids. It takes work. Hasn't been perfect. But we are still very happy ❤❤

You have to work at it find common ground. Find out what gets under each other's skin and admit when you do something wrong or that pisses your partner off or hurts their feelings.
Be honest about your behaviors and know when to step away for a bit or give each other space. It's all so important.

My parents are going to be married 58 years this June. (My father had a right sided stroke 5 years ago. He 82). He couldn’t live on his own anymore. Mom takes great care of him. Mom always said she wouldn’t give you 2 cents for the first seven years of marriage. Mom was 18 and Dad was 23 when they got married.

God your right about the albums. My husband and I still have all or most of our albums from the late sixties seventies and on. The artwork and information etc was everything on the albums they were complete pieces of art truly. We have ours on display as art and also still listen to them. It was fun when we brought our son up letting him experience the music the art the albums he still loves them to this day and he now only buys albums. Just received a new turntable from my daughter at Christmas. My most favorite gift in a long time! During Christmastime we played Abbey Road in full. My kid is in her 20’s and loves the Beatles. I now get to play all my dad’s albums he collected in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. He had the original pressing of Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album. I remember seeing that cover and being very scared. I was about 4 or 5. Then I grew up to LOVE OZZY as all my friends did in the early 80’s. Diary of a Madman first for me then Blizzard of Oz. Junior high years. Those albums were EVERYTHING
Its just so sweet to know that you love each other. And you can tell because you put up with each other and just let everything slide down your bavk. The perfect way,because when you truly love someone you dont sweat the stupid stuff. Love how you tell each other you love each other all the time. Its so precious.

I was married for 30 years. We did the till death model. I miss him every damn day.
There is no one else, ever.
It's hard. But it IS worth it.
You fight, you make love, you throw ish at each other, but when the crap gets deep, he is home. I got sick, and he took over. Cooking , running the kids, holding it down.
Over the years, you take the marriage for granted. it's all ways going to be there.
Till he passed.
It has been 16 years. I still get caught off footed. I have to remember to tell Dad this or that. Then it hits me out of the blue.
The 1 talk I always am thankful we had the end of life discussions.
Have that convo. Know burial or cremated. All the end of life things.

Thankfully this podcast has made me & many others I'm sure realize that if it weren't for Sharon...& his family we wouldn't have had Ozzy all these years! My thought is this... If it weren't for Sharon we would've lost Ozzy WAY TOO SOON as many other music Legends died too soon in their careers!

Sharon, since you’ve done a few vow renewals now, did you finally get the wedding night you wanted? (I felt so bad for you at the end of the NYE episode where you were like “oh no, not again”.) Also, what was it like becoming a stepparent to two older kids? Was there some difficulty at first or did they accept you right away? I was 9 when my dad remarried only a few months after my parents’ divorce and I think the Brady Bunch gave him some unrealistic expectations.

I still have records from the 70s, and recently acquired my Parents 60s portable record player, and wow, the sound is still incredible, it was top of the range for the time 😊. I've even kept most of my cds, because nothing beats reading the production booklet that would come with them, and the incredible album artistry. Interestingly enough, my 21 year old Grandson asked me if I had a record player, because he went to a music festival recently and bought a a vinyl record of one of his favourite bands and needed to listen to it 😃. I think attention spans and patience has escaped from the last few generations, hence quick, easy and right now way of thinking. I'm probably quilty of that now, but at least I/we experienced that excitement from purchasing and running home to listen to them 😃👌

I agree with Ozzy if I could go back in time it would be the 1920s!! I love the movies, music and how simple life was. My grandma's aunt was a child during the 1920s and she would tell me stories about how great life was back then. She told me she would rather go back to the 1930s during the great depression than live in todays age and that she felt sorry for me being young during this time in history. She passed away almost 3 years ago just shy of her 105 birthday.
