- The roster of the Sega Genesis/Megadrive version of 1992's WWF Super Wrestlemania, includes 8 wrestlers: the Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Ted DiBiase, Shawn Michaels, Randy Savage, British Bulldog, Irwin R. Schyster and Papa Shango, and all come with pretty shitty sounding theme music.

Warrior's theme sounds like it can be in road rash
good observation bro I could see that too
Nailed it 👍🏿
😂😂😂😂😂 yep
Hogan's theme sounded like a sonic stage :D
IRS's theme is basically "Well we have to give him SOMETHING".
Warriors face best describes his reaction to hearing his song
this brings back happy memories.....Shawn Michael's theme was the Sh*t. LUV IT!!!
I've got this and it still works.
I loved IRS's character. I used to have nightmares of someone demanding I pay my taxes. Thanks to him my 401(k) sucks.
Any selection screen that combines the coolness of Irwin R. Shyster and Papa Shango is enough to make your TV explode.
Ted DiBiase's was incredible for 16 bit glory!
papa shangos theme was badass in this game.
yeah I say this to with papa shangos theme is really a badass!!!
Just seeing HBK and Million Dollar Man on the same screen is EPIC!
Ted dibiase had the best song...Million DOllar Man... Hell Yeah!!!...
C'mon, we all know that I.R.S. had the best entrance music! :-D
lyrics or GTFO
LMAO 🤣
FACT OF LIFE!!!!!!!!
i remember i'd be like WTF when IRS' music would come on
I agree, Snes was always known for superior music.
Shawn's music is bitchin.
Bulldog greatest wrestler of all time!!!
RIP Warrior, Macho Man, & Bulldog.
When I graduated from high school a friend of mine when we were walking out to the theme he screams OHHH YEAH!!! and is spinning in a circle like the macho man. It was hilarious.
wow this brings back the memories. This was the first game I got for my Genesis
One of the first games i had when i had a Genesis, played this for hours. Great old memories
I liked the SNES version better. Too bad Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels, IRS, British Bulldog and Papa Shango weren't in it. That would have made one epic WWF game at the time.
Ted DiBiase Theme>>>>>>>
ultimate warrior theme was made from depeche mode..and me then turned the sound as high as it was possible at my friend to hear the themes
R.I.P Randy I Loved And Saluted You As A Kid
IRS the most dangerous and menancing even today
WWF Super WrestleMania would've been epic if the default wrestlers were Hogan, Warrior, Savage, Undertaker, Jake, Bulldog, Sid, Hawk, Animal, Earthquake, Typhoon, DiBiase, IRS, HBK and Shango...
...and the unlockable wrestlers would be Bret Hart, Kamala, Mr. Perfect, Ric Flair, Razor Ramon, Yokozuna, Nasty Boy Knobbs, Nasty Boy Sags, The Mountie, Rick Martel, Tatanka, Dino Bravo, Texas Tornado, Nikolai Volkoff, Roddy Piper, Kona Crush, The Big Boss Man, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Owen Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Marty Jannetty, Bushwhackers, Fatu & Samu (The Headshrinkers), Tito Santana (El Matador), Koko B. Ware, Jimmy Snuka and Greg Valentine.
Ram Roldan What do you mean huh?
jose cooli plead your case as to why Ric Flair should've been in WWF Super WrestleMania through whichever achievement garnered him a roster spot.
Filipo Sooa Oddly This Was The Only Game That Undertaker Didn't Appear In
+jose cooli (Rockabillyman26) he put ric flair
+Filipo Sooa Don't forget add the Beverly Bros,The Bezerker,Repo Man to the unlockable roster
I got this WWF wrestling game in the late 90s when all of these wrestlers were still alive. Now British Bulldog, Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior are dead. Ted DiBiase, Shawn Michaels, Papa Shango, IRS and Hulk Hogan are the only guys left now.
I had this game when I was 6 - I always thought Ted Dibiase was Jeremy Beadle's alter ego.... in hindsight, I believe I was mildly cretinous back then.
At one point IRS did have a theme song, but it was the sound of typewriters and machines going off in the background, hence the gimmick of "IRS."
@NewKokujinOptions I knew that he used to use the Million Dollar man theme, but when he was solo, I never heard him with any music.
back in the days of this game Shawn Michaels used a back suplex as his finisher on these games
THose were the GOOD OLD days of wrestling! I miss them
Warrior's picture looks like a painted up housewife. lol
When I was little, I used to think it looked like my grandma.
i got this game when i was young and i still playing it
cool wwf super wrestlemania genesis roster !!!
@largest85 No, this game came out in 92 right after WM 8. The SNES version came out at the beginning of 92 before WM, which is why Warrior and Shango aren't in the SNES version.
The SNES itself didn't come out until around Thanksgiving/Christmas of 91.
this sounds like music for the nes
Wow, when I was a kid I used to use games like this to listen to WWF themes. The other Option was to turn the TV volume up and record them on tape, but them damn announcer usually talked over the Music.
wow ultimate warriors theme actually sounds good here despite it only being 16 bit machine
That's true. 1st he was Papa SHango, then Kama Mustafa, then Godfather.
Hulk hogan's music almost sounded like it could be on sonic 1 or 2
Ah, memories. First game I got for the Mega Drive. I remember Ultimate Warrior's finisher looking ridiculous and being easily avoided with a tap of the direction button, and the game being incredibly difficult. Maybe I was just crap.
And for those who have said it already, I agree: IRS' finisher was impossible to do.
damn, i was a child and playing this game. maybe 1991 or 1992 good days
I had this game. I found it funny that Savage used a dropkick on here but not "in real life",lol. And that theme music, lol.
damn, i used to have this game. good memories, awesome music.
Davey Boy looks like he could be in Milli Vanilli
money money moneyyyyyy shit thats my life sound track theme lol
the theme of Ted Dibiase sounds god ^^
his snes version sounds much better
anybody ever realize macho man's theme was the graduation song?
🖐🏾
ImportKnight13 the SNES version of WWF Super Wrestlemania does not have finishing moves. The Sega Genesis version has finishing moves.
Sounds like there should be a Sonic level called Million Dollar Dream Zone for that theme.
IRS music sounds like a horse galloping
You got some funny horses, wherever you are.
It's a printing calculator.
Turgeon, IRS never used that typing theme that has floated around the net for years (it's fake), and he had a typing theme in a couple games just because he had no theme in real life. He walked out to no music (until the Money Inc days) and ran down the crowd on the mic.
Ultimate Warrior theme= Tetris new theme
Mega Drive was an amazing computer, I was a Mega Drive boy myself, never played SNES. I think the Mega Drive handled guitar sounds well, the themes on the wrestling games sound great on it and on games like Road Rash too.
Shango was koooool, I found it really crazy when I found out he's the godfather lol
Ultimate warrior theme sounds like something you would hear on Road Rash :D
I have Super Wrestlemania for the SNES and could never figure out how to do the finishing moves. Are they even in the game?
I Beat This Game On Sega Genesis When I Was A High School Senior.. I Won The WWF Championship With HBK Shawn Michaels..
@Darklurkr thats was his theme song
Ultim8 Warrior looks like he has Bosnian flag stripes on his face.
I Love HBK's theme on this one... IDK why...lol
shawn michaels music sounds like a japenese song
Can you imagine the kids of today brought up on Playstation's, Xbox 360 etc having to play these sort of games with the graphics and music lol..
This aged precisely
Actually, to correct myself, it's after you throw the opponent to the ropes that you should do Warrior's tackle, so you hit them when they come back.
This is better then the snes version
Man, he can't bring the mullet back, he's going bald!!!!!
hah, sounds like the Ultimate Warrior theme is being played on a Hammond organ. Was Al Kooper involved with this? ;)
He did use the STF for a while around 1994.
macho mans themes sounds like my farts at the start
his snes version sounds much better
Actually he was. At summerslam 91 he beat Mr. Perfect for the IC title in a great match. And then won it again at mania 8 in 92, and had one of the greatest all time matches at summerslam 92 against the bulldog. And going to win his first WWF Championship over Ric flair in October of 92.
I WANT TO PLAY SEGA AGAIN!!!!!
@NewKokujinOptions IRS never had type writer music. Its all fake. He only used Dibiase's theme or he had non theme.
Heh, I remember Ultimate Warrior was terrible in this game. He'd shake his arms before he did his flying tackle finisher, but you could just punch him while he was shaking! What a maroon.
@bookertsucka02 It was Sherri's version from 1992-95. In my opinion i still prefer the one with Shawn Michaels vocals from 1995 onwards.
Oh, ok, thanks for the reply.
HBK's version here was the most accurate.
at least there were finishers in this version SNES doesnt have that
@Andyc18 Haha, what an awesome game Road Rash was.
didn't Papa Shango come to the WWE in 92 isn't this game in 91 how was he in this game?
I used to love this game. Damn I dont remember the music being this bad though lol
hahaha the music rocks! LOL! xD
Feel the Power of The ULTIMATE WARRIOR... Watcha Gonna do when HULKAMANIA Run🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃Wild on You ... I'm the Million Dollar Man and he always gets his way HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA... I'm the Heartbreak Kid ,The Main Event , The Icon and The Showstopper .... Ohhhh Yeahhhhhh Dig It Macho Man Randy Savage is here baybay... IRS Says don't you ever forget to pay ya taxes Period... I'm strong and I'm the Man in professional wrestling I'm the British Bulldog ... I'm the Voodoo Prist and I'm here to Cast spells on everyone in the World Wrestling Federation ya Got Ya... Hahaha I love this wrestling game and the other old school video games for the Gameboy color and Gameboy Advanced and Sega Genesis and Snes and many others"""
ha i remember this game from wen i was a kid i use2 find it so fun lol
SHAWN MICHAELS THEME was it sherri version or the crappy own sang theme
he was using the sherri version during this time. he didnt have his version until early 93 after the royal rumble.
dont get why they didnt add the undertaker to the genesis/megadrive version. they couldve had him and ric flair or sid justice to make it total 10 to the snes version. plus i wouldve removed the bulldog and put bret hart or roddy piper in that spot.
bulldog is great better then piper and wouldnt have replaced him with anyone
Schyster looks like Filti Frank.
i think warrior was my favorite on this one
I wouldn't say they're all shitty. A few of them sound pretty good for Genesis standards, although there's not much of a way you can make IRS's theme good, no matter what standards you go by. Unless maybe you were comparing to the Nasty Boys' WWF theme.
I was just thinking, maybe it sounds like a terrible recording of an accounting calculator, lol.
irs have not a another music
BLOODCLAT.. i usto to have this very game when i owned a Sega and i beat this game like ther was no tommorw yo...
he was kama to
8 versus super nintendo's 10
Damn I use have this games on saga...
Se tira media hora para seleccionar personaje.
I dont think IRS ever had a theme music
Bret wasn't in this one or the one that came out for SNES...probably to make the game even 4 faces & 4 heels.
4 heels: Dibiase, HBK, IRS, Shango
4 faces: Savage, Hogan, Bulldog, Warrior
Other than Bulldog, Bret wasn't bigger than any of the other faces at that time.
SNES had 5 faces & 5 heels.
5 heels: Jake, Undertaker, Earthquake, Typhoon, Dibiase
5 faces: Savage, Hogan, Sid, Hawk, Animal
I don't think Bret was bigger than any of those 5 faces either.
they should of added 2 more wrestlers for the sega version to even it up to the SNES version, 1 face and 1 heel, Roddy Piper face, The Mountie, heel.
lol I remember this game.. I used to pick Papa Shango and KILL this game!
maybe Bret was slightly bigger than Bulldog..even as a 2-time IC Champ, Bret wasn't all that...
maybe cause Bulldog at that point could mix it up, either with the "skilled" wrestlers as well as the "heavyweights" and "main event heels"...you'd have to ask the developers.
but Bret was not bigger than Hogan, Savage, or Warrior...not even close, I don't care how skilled of a wrestler he was in comparison...those 3 defined the class of pro wrestling during that time period.
