For someone like me who's having hard times... this song is just amazing. I always remember the quote of the pebble on the road everytime I feel depressed and I realize I'm worrying about nothing at all.
I listen to this song whenever I'm letting things bother me to much. "Let it go let it go it's no bigger then a pebble on a gravel road." This is one of my favorite quotes from thier music.
I never saw the movie, so when I first saw the title of this one I thought it was just a coincidence, but as soon as the chorus began, I immediately heard a resemblance to when my brother would annoy me with the Frozen version's chorus (well, the first six words of it). so there are two possibilities. 1: this song is older than I think it is, or 2: GBS licensed Disney for use of the song, even as a remix. I'll have to actually listen to both versions to decide which.
As much as I support Disney getting sued for their version of Let it Go. I am willing to bet that Disney has much better lawyers than what Alan Doyle could afford to hire (no offense lawyers). I am guessing that Alan knows this, which is probably a reason why he doesn't sue Disney.
Of the three songs I have heard by this title, this one is the best. Zac Brown Band's version would be a close 2nd, with the crap from frozen (not bad, just WAY overplayed) in third.
the ultimate song when you feel like life is at its lowest and everything is hopeless. wish more people knew about it
Discovered this song at my lowest, seriously helped me through....
Ryan Spencer I might be dead without this song
Same it really helped

Far as I am concerned this is the only song "let it go" that exists
loves everything this band has done.
Amen to that. Amazing music. Talented ever last one of them.
As a biker "This road ain't long enough to miss a single turn" has double meaning for me. :) Nice song anyways, perfect refreshment after a breakup.
One of the best songs I have ever heard...if we could all only heed these awesome lyrics! :D
fantastic song, fantastic band.
GBS, being awesome....such a shame they aren't touring anymore.
You are lucky to have an english teacher that shows you stuff like this ^^. Don"t know him but he's a good guy. For sure !
This song has saved my life I let it go now even when all is wrong
One of the theme songs of my life!!!
You're lucky. My theme song was "nearer my god to thee."
liberating
A good song for today. We need to move on . . .
this song makes me not worry
I take back all I said prior, but I can now confirm that the two songs have nothing in common but their name
I want the real let it go: Frozen
I said the real let it go: Voltaire
I said the real let it go: Great Big sea

I know now. The two are nothing alike despite having the same name

The GBS version IS way older than that POC from Disney. (I worked for Dis for 14 years - I know)
I think this band needs to sue Queen Elsa..... or better still, Disney.
Agreed. When my friend started going on about the Disney song, I thought GBS had finally got popular/got the popularity that they deserve.

I worked for Dis for 14 years. In my opinion, the GBS song is in an entirely different class of music, namely GOOD!!!

I think they're completely different songs.
@TheLadykylin "Give the sun a chance to find you" isn't bad either ;)
Does anyone else think parts of this song sound similar to John Mellencamp's "Jack and Dianne"?
I could see a mashup of the two songs being successful.
No.
this song is the shit
There is a girl I can't let go
