La Mer is my fav! When I wear it, I feel the most confident. I do the same throughout the day with it and look in the mirror thinking, “ooh, my skin looks good!” I also will get compliments if I’m around people. La Mer also has the best skincare which exists in their foundation as well.
I'm so stressed over grad school applications right now that I put this on in the background for comfort. Your humor really helps lighten my mood, thank you for what you do!
Just wanted to say, thank you Charlotte, not just for great make up recommendations but your great British 🇬🇧 sense of humour 😅😅 been thoroughly entertained ❤🔥💥🥰
Love your makeup look in this video, Charlotte! ❤. CT Beautiful Skin has been in my top drawer for a couple of years, but never quite #1. It has really only been in the past year where I have realized how wonderfully this product works with my skin and undertones, now holding top spot and my most used foundation ever. Full stop. I am in my early 60’s and have a straight forward complexion, no major issues like to wear foundation sparingly only on areas where I need a little help. Yes, this one was a creeper, took me awhile to appreciate its perfect simplicity. So glad you have rediscovered! ❤
Haus Labs, NARS Light Reflecting & the Hourglass depending on the situation. Haven’t tried the Lisa Eldridge because the shade card for my skin range has been out of stock for awhile. BTW your eye look is STUNNING, the crease shade is especially flattering ❤️
Love Le Mar foundation! It’s always in my rotation.when they first launched their foundation it was rubbish. That was years ago but I love this one. I’m older, with combo skin, spend a lot of time in a humid climate in the US and refuse to wear primer and I’ll use my hands or sponge to apply foundations. I too like the TF stick and don’t love stick. Great video.
Great presentation and I think we look for similar qualities in a foundation. Completely agree with you on La Mer as I have tried 3 shades and am still needing to try another soon. I find the Natural shade a bit too pink for my neutral warm complexion. I just got the Louboutin liquid foundation and I think it’s so similar to double wear that I may not keep it. It’s just slightly thinner in my skin which is nice. I really like your upbeat videos!
Beautiful look today-looks like I’ll have to dig out Mothership X and bite the bullet and get that LE mascara. Such a gorgeous look, with the lovely lip and cheeks. ❤
@@CharlotteHoldcroft I find really helpful your opinion on what didn’t work for you and why. For example, now I’m searching for the perfect foundation for my wedding day next year, and yesterday I ordered the Luminous Silk from Armani. Now I’m reading on the comments that you didn’t like it and now I’m scared… If I’d known your opinion on that probably I would have chosen another foundation 😔
@@aidar8535I think researching it’s a good way to get an idea about a product, however when it comes to foundation what it works form some people it doesn’t for for others. And I think that’s the case of The Armani Foundation some people love it some people don’t get it. It might not be a favourite one for Charlotte but it might work for you.
@@leighriley-hj3ei oh my… I don’t understant the hype on Armani Foundation so 😂 Thank you very much for the recommendation! The Dior one will be the next on my list if it’s a disaster. Thank you again 💝
Great video - foundations are my absolute favourite makeup product, and I try almost every new launch that comes to market. I am surprised that Lisa Eldridge has been knocked out of your top 10, and that Shiseido Revitalessence didnt make it , but I agree on almost every one thats in the top 10 of yours, except for the TF Stick, I tried it many years ago and found it to be too oily (even when I have dry skin) and gave it a go again this winter, but its still same for me - way to oily, it just slides around on my face :-) I think my current line-up of most loved ones are (in random order) Haus Labs, Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid and Cle de Peau Cream, Kevyn Aucoin Etherealist, Orce Come Closer, Kosas Revealer, Makeup By Mario, Glossier Stretch, Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless, Succu The Cream and Shiseido Revitalessence. Ops, that 11 :-D I will very much like to try TF Shade & Illuminate, but is it ever on sale at Selfridges? We only have it in one special store here in Norway and its never on sale, even for Black Friday sadly. Wish you a lovely weekend, you are my favourite youtuber :-)
I was surprised the Lisa Eldridge and Shisedo didn’t sneak in there! I love my LE, but I’m almost out and was thinking I might try the Prada. Loved the video!
lol...I HATED the Nars reflecting foundation... my daughter tried it and hated it too. Crazy how people can feel so differently about a product. I usually mix foundations to get exactly what I want anyway. For example, I love to mix the Dior with a small amount of futurist.
Hi dear Charlotte, loved this very good ranking video!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩TF has the lavender oil, which i cannot handle, hope they ever leave it out of the ingredients, but there is so much more! My forever no. 1 foundation is the older Suqqu foundation in the black jar, have 2 back ups in shade 220, as they have another one now, still have to try the new one, want to give it a chance, but this is my most loved foundation! Super to hear yours, Charlotte!!! The La Mer and the Chanel also gave irritation on my skin, but from Chanel i do love the Sublimage foundation, especially in winter! Hourglass was to cakey on me, the Nars one, i forgot how beautiful it is, thanks! The Haus Labs i purchased, gonna try soon, Prada, a maybe, not now, still have so much. Louboutin i think a no. CT, really don't know, every foundation i tried from her was a disaster, but maybe this one is an exeption? Loved this!!!! Thanks, enjoy your day!!!😘😘😘😘
Thought Cle De Peau would be somewhere in there. I must revisit my Charlotte Tilbury foundation. Haven’t used it for months. As I recall it sits in my fine lines. I’ll give it another outing! Great video ❤
NARS Light Reflecting is my holy grail! If they ever stop making it I have no idea what I’ll do. It’s the only foundation where I have an absolute perfect shade for when I’m self tanned and when I’m not. And mixed together, they make perfect shades as my tan fades.
I like the use a glowy setting spray with foundations that are more matte to help give me the glazed donut look I crave!! Iconic London and Urban Decay each have a product.
Armani luminous silk is really my favorite I think of the bunch…. It’s very similar to the HAUS labs and the Dior I can’t really tell the difference on my skin… all beautiful foundations.
Your videos are always so useful, thank you so much! 🤗🤗 I love your videos and I LOVE looking at your face and listening to your voice btw!! (Just to react to the intro ♥️♥️)
I am so SO obsessed with the Prada foundation. I have a perfect shade match (which can be hard for fair skin with warm undertones) and I just find it so blurring and perfecting. It makes me feel like a doll whenever I wear it! Getting married in 2025 and it's the number 1 choice for wedding foundation. Btw thanks for the video, excellent as always! 😊
Yeah....i jusr ordered the Haus Labs. I did have trouble picking out the color so i hope i picked right! Oh by the way i am reading a great book.....The Whisper Man!!!!
Foundation video from Charlotte , that makes my day! Even I am more a tinted moisturizer kind girl. And I have more oily combination skin, I love to watch your foundation video's.( I am tempted to try that TF stick foundation.)
I like the Charlotte tilbury and Tom ford foundations, as well as Haus and a few others. My favorite one currently is the new Suqqu foundation. I know your summer colour would be close to my winter colour- 40.
@@CharlotteHoldcroft I’m talking about the liquid one. And looks like the selection is about the same as chantecaille or cle de peau and a few other ones. Which is unfortunate that some brands do that. But it’s just a suggestion❤️
I blindly trust your recommendations Happy to have you as an honest person, i bought some of these for myself and my mom exclusively relying on you You never disappoint charlotte ♥️
I love Lancome care and glow, Haus, TF, Nars light reflecting . I have been using the Giveanchy concealer so I'd like to try their foundation and Nikki LRs foundation roundup gave me ideas on a few more like Valentino she said is a sleeper. As is the KVD. I need new eye pallettes and since there haven't been many I need or like I've been buying lipsticks 😅
I'm sure you've tried it before (so I'm sorry if this is a silly recommendation), but you might give the Armani Luminous Silk (the classic not the newer finish/formulations) a shot in the shade 3.5--I'm also olive in undertone, but I'm fairer than you, and I find the 3.5 is a bit too tan for me most of the year, even when it's very blended out. Summer, though, it's pretty close on. Given that, I'm guessing it might be right (or at least close) for a winter shade for you. It's a lovely formula, so definitely one to try if you haven't!
Here are my top picks this week!! Haus Labs (now that I have the right shade), Sisley Phyto Tint oil free foundation, , Gee Beauty( new...no make up look) Primet or Stick Foundation, TF Stick Foundation(Saks sale). Not in any order..waiting to try Prada in store!!! Ty I Love this!!!😂
My favourite since last year is the reformulated Lancome teinte idole ultra wear foundation. It even did well in the humid Fiji weather last October. Plus, I found the perfect shade for most of the year (a little pale for summer but I can make it work with bronzer). I only liked Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin until I got to the New Zealand summer and then it wouldn’t stay on my face either outside or at the gym. Plus her shades are a bit too yellow even in the N shades. Btw, Runway royalty lipstick is my perfect nude shade! That and Dior addict nude look, and Chanel Adrienne.
The Nars is my favourite, although not tried the others. Thanks for writing your shades, I have a lot of same shades as you so it’s really helpful. The Haus labs one is what I plan on buying next as everyone seems to like that one.
Lovely video Charlotte!! Your sense of humor is the best 😂 im adding a few of your recommendations to my shopping list for the year. I really want to try the Nars one and Tom Ford 😊. Another one i want to try is the Lancome teint idole matte. My favorite right now is from Too Faced and is their Born this way matte foundation. But it's very hydrating but stays matte..i don't know how they do it 😅
I like the Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin but IT Cosmetics CC cream is a similar kind of foundation and i prefer it as i think it wears better and it has better coverage without looking cake-face. So many on your list i haven't tried. Recently got the Bobbi Brown serum foundation which im still trying out. Thanks for the video x
Try Surratt Due drop foundation. It kicked out the Tom Ford shade and illuminate foundation from the first spot for me. Even better finish and does not have SPF!
I've been using chanel water tint since it came out, i wanted something for ocassions, i'm very fair and sensitive with acne prone, between Prada and Hause L. which one would you recommend to avoid clinging to dry patches and avoid break outs? Thank u ❤
@@CharlotteHoldcroft most spf and oils ( especially shea butter) some fragrance as well, for example Chanel no1 was beautiful but broke me out..I really liked the new Shiseido foundation swatch but it has spf..
We have such similar tastes in foundation that it breaks my heart to not be able to try the Tom Ford foundation. I am so allergic to zinc oxide and it's frighteningly high on the list. I too pray for an SPF free version, but I have a feeling that the zinc oxide adds to the glorious finish of the foundation. Looks STUNNING on you!
What a great video! I love La Mer until I couldn’t stand the perfume/smell. It never went away throughout the day. It is a gorgeous foundation throughout the day. I am tan buff if that helps Charlotte and I think I might be your summer shade?
Another top video Charlotte! My top is the Prada, followed by YSL All Hours then HG Skin tint providing its used with the haus labs concealor for a bit of coverage. Unfortunately the CT Beautiful Skin didn’t do anything for me, broke up on my skin and was a bit of a disappointment. X
My favourites EVER (on my dry, 45 year old skin) are: M•A•C Radiance Face and Body, Shiseido Syncro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation and Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser. I can die happy if these are never discontinued... 😎✌🏼💜💜💜
Mac Face and Body is my #1 favorite foundation!! It’s the only one that doesn’t settle into fine line and pores around my mouth and chin. All other foundations do…
Try the Estee Lauder in a tube and Very Valentino, YSL All Hours or Pat McGrath Sublime Foundation, Giorgio Armani Foundation, or Dior Forever Glow Foundation.
I bought your #1 Foundation today!! The whole first half of the video I kept thinking WOW Charlottes skin looks so flawless and youthful and just brilliant! I even looked to see what you were wearing. Then at the end of the video you explained your experience with the TF foundation. So…when I found it for 50% off today, I bought it. For Americans, check your local CCS, shades were limited.
LOVE the La Mer.....but SOOOOO expensive. I save it for special occasions. Are they discontinuing the Tom Ford ( or reformulating) foundations? Hard to find....
Have you tried Cle de peau? I love the dewy cushion and have just started trying the radiance cream, which gives me similar vibes to how you describe La Mer…
I enjoy your videos - your skin looks so beautiful! What are your feelings about the Dior Forever Skin Glo or Forever Matte formulations? I try many foundations, but I return to these every time. They wear all day so faithfully. Also Nars Sheer Glow? Shiseido Radiant Lifting? Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin was always beautiful for a couple of hours, but then wore off too much on me. Anyway, we have options, thankfully!
I thought the Lisa Eldrige might make it. I prefer a very lightweight foundation as I can't stand feeling it on my skin. I like a little glow also. I do really love the TF foundation stick as I can get a very thin coverage in a breeze. I hope its not being discontinued 🤞🤞
Somehow I’m not surprised. Don’t get me wrong, I love Lisa and it’s a good foundation but I think it’s not a very popular choice unlike her lipsticks and other products. It didn’t work for me for instance. Have a lovely day
The ranking struggle lmao! Diff favs for diff occasions, seasons, coverage levels, finishes! #1 beloved product of all time: Haus foundation BUT I don't wear it often! Day to day is a skin tint.: Danessa. Outdoors, SPF tint: Ciele. Summer/natural finish: Beauty blender, Maybelline.
My favourite at the moment is the Chanel SUBLIMAGE L'ESSENCE DE TEINT Ultimate Radiance-Generating Serum Foundation - with a dash of Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder in voile rose
I like make-up that has squalane in it. My favourites are Ilia and ANNEMARIE BÖRLIND Anti-Aging Make-up. Both totally in my price range and on top of that they organic!
U are so funny, u always make the day better. I had my eye on a few of these but to tell u the truth im just a skintint girl . I love the TF shade and illuminate but it breaks me out bought it last summer and i am so bummed and i really want the new primer but scared that is going to do the same. I think its the SPF my skin doesnt agree with sof filters unless they are korean for some reason. I am not normal i don't want 1 of anything 😂im always wanting more .
La Mer is one of the top foundations ever! My top 3 are Lisa Eldridge, Chanel Ultra Le Teint and La Mer. It's far better than Louboutin and Prada in my opinion. I do not like the smell of Prada foundation and I find Louboutin patchy and not long-lasting. I will try to finish Prada and Louboutin to come back to my top 3. But again, I love it for my mixt zone and pores and aging skin with a warm, golden tone.
The Urban Decay HydroManiac Stay Naked Foundation is BEAUTIFUL. Great natural looking coverage and a healthy glow. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. ❤
Hi Charlotte ! love todays video . I was going to get the Tom Ford stick foundation (Im the same colour match as you ) but am confused as the colour Fawn (your winter shade) doesn't seem to exist ! as mentioned on your product list . Please help and advise ! x
I feel the "I found perfection except...." reaction, and the overpriced elements too. My favorite foundation is Sisley Nude, I like the coverage it wears off naturally, looks like skin and most importantly is a perfect match for my skin (works with or without tan and is the only foundation I've found with a perfect undertone). Aside from price, which isn't a huge factor given how seldomly I use foundation, my only issue is the fragrance. If another version came along without fragrance I'd be happy to drop it and that's the only factor that keeps me on the lookout for a better alternative.
Hi Charlotte yes my favourite too but chanel number 1 is second , but no its got to be Tom Ford its beautiful ! in fact i use it every day these days . because my skin looks so good.
Loved this! I just kind find the right color for me in any of the CT foundations. I am now just waiting and waiting for the CLB to come back in 20N it's gone EVERYWHERE!!
I had to leave my favorite Chanel foundations due to the heavy perfume scent they all have now. Just found Chanticaille Future Skin Gel Foundation - light to medium coverage, fragrance free, looks lovely on the skin but PRICEY. By the way, love your humor (humour) and your British accent - I could listen to you all day. XO from the US
Oh man, I really really liked the finish and wear of the Nars foundation (especially because I love the pressed powder in the same range) but it broke me out like crazy😭😭 Definitely checking out the Chanel No.1👀👀
What are your thoughts concerning Valentino foundation? It’s one of my favourite. Most of your favourite foundations are also my favourite excluding TF and Charlotte Tilbury foundation. I prefer more natural finish foundations than radiant ones. For some reason I don’t get along with the TF foundations. The stick foundation I can use but the shade and illuminate has never worked for me. I wish I could make it work because it was so expensive.
I liked CT beautiful skin foundation until I tried L’Oréal True Match foundation. I was blown away how much more I loved that foundation. I do still use my CT but wouldn’t repurchase

I've been using chanel water tint since it came out, i wanted something for ocassions, i'm very fair and sensitive with acne prone, between Prada and Hause L. which one would you recommend to avoid clinging to dry patches and avoid break outs? Thank u ❤
Hi there, it really depends what you're reacting to, are there specific ingredients?
@@CharlotteHoldcroft most spf and oils ( especially shea butter) some fragrance as well, for example Chanel no1 was beautiful but broke me out..I really liked the new Shiseido foundation swatch but it has spf..
At first I wasn’t into the ct beautiful skin, and now it’s 100% my fave with the Dior forever skin glow
I know you’re a boujee girl with foundation (as am i😂) BUT YOU HAVE TO TRY THE MAYBELLINE SKIN TINT!!!!! I truly think you’d love it
Good for mature skin?
What a great video! I love La Mer until I couldn’t stand the perfume/smell. It never went away throughout the day. It is a gorgeous foundation throughout the day. I am tan buff if that helps Charlotte and I think I might be your summer shade?
Another top video Charlotte! My top is the Prada, followed by YSL All Hours then HG Skin tint providing its used with the haus labs concealor for a bit of coverage. Unfortunately the CT Beautiful Skin didn’t do anything for me, broke up on my skin and was a bit of a disappointment. X
You told me last year about the Hourglass Veil Tint and when it would be on sale. I bought it & I love it.
My favourites EVER (on my dry, 45 year old skin) are: M•A•C Radiance Face and Body, Shiseido Syncro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation and Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser. I can die happy if these are never discontinued... 😎✌🏼💜💜💜
🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Mac Face and Body is my #1 favorite foundation!! It’s the only one that doesn’t settle into fine line and pores around my mouth and chin. All other foundations do…
Try the Estee Lauder in a tube and Very Valentino, YSL All Hours or Pat McGrath Sublime Foundation, Giorgio Armani Foundation, or Dior Forever Glow Foundation.
What about the Lisa Eldridge foundation? I love it a lot.
It was 6th 2 years ago and a LOT of new ones bumped it down a little. I liked it, but it isn't my typical preference when it comes to foundation 💞
Hard to find....
no one does glam makeup like you! now i have to find someone who is as good as u with drugstore!
Have you tried Cle de peau? I love the dewy cushion and have just started trying the radiance cream, which gives me similar vibes to how you describe La Mer…
Hi Charlotte! Please give Danessa Myricks serum foundation a try! It’s a hidden gem and won’t break your bank.
It was 6th last time and there are lots of newcomers! x
I love the Beauty Blender skin tint!!
I love the La mer foundation, it's beautiful
My favourite at the moment is the Chanel SUBLIMAGE L'ESSENCE DE TEINT Ultimate Radiance-Generating Serum Foundation - with a dash of Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder in voile rose
I like make-up that has squalane in it. My favourites are Ilia and ANNEMARIE BÖRLIND Anti-Aging Make-up. Both totally in my price range and on top of that they organic!
Recently I’ve been loving Haus labs. Worried on how I will fare in the summer though
Hi charlotte you should try makeup forever he hydrating foundation and you would like it
You are so stunning! Your skin is soooooooo gorgeous
I must have missed a previous video but what happened to the Lisa Eldridge foundation? Also you look lovely today (as usual but special today) 🥰
You make me HAPPY!
The Urban Decay HydroManiac Stay Naked Foundation is BEAUTIFUL. Great natural looking coverage and a healthy glow. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. ❤
What a name😮🙈😀really
@@tanyakaushan5830😅😅
Hi Charlotte ! love todays video . I was going to get the Tom Ford stick foundation (Im the same colour match as you ) but am confused as the colour Fawn (your winter shade) doesn't seem to exist ! as mentioned on your product list . Please help and advise ! x
It definitely exists, I have it in my drawer 😅 maybe out of stock where you are looking!
you're so right ! just a hard one to locate ! sorry ...my fault x@@CharlotteHoldcroft
If you need a full coverage matte then try Lancome Teint Idole 24 hr. For more hydrating the Lancome care and glow foundation serum.
XO from the US
My favourite foundation is the Lisa Eldridge one, I wonder where it goes on your rankings ❤
You just make me smile 😊
Oh man, I really really liked the finish and wear of the Nars foundation (especially because I love the pressed powder in the same range) but it broke me out like crazy😭😭
Definitely checking out the Chanel No.1👀👀
Oh no!!! x
Yay!🎉🎉🎉🎉I have been looking forward to this one!!!😂😂😂
My Lisa Eldridge items are arriving today!
I liked CT beautiful skin foundation until I tried L’Oréal True Match foundation. I was blown away how much more I loved that foundation. I do still use my CT but wouldn’t repurchase
I’m looking for full coverage, but light weight. Huda Beauty is my favorite. Makes my skin look like porcelaine, but is too heavy. Any suggestions?
Have you tried the newest Make Up For Ever foundation?
I value your opinions on makeup 😊
Thanks for sharing, loved this video ❤
Thanks for watching!
