I loved Tomb Scorpions in my Tomb Kings games. One of the benefits you didn't mention is that you get 2 Tomb Scorpion for 1 building slot. I did a little testing and 2 Tomb Scorpions beat a Warsphinx and Skeleton Spearmen. If I could build a T5 structure and I hadn't already built the Scorpion building, I got the Scorpions, they're just more efficient with the limited units, the only building better is the cavalry building.

So multiple heroes with Treacherous, a Lord with the appropriate red-line skills and all of them with the proper items and a whole lot Tomb Scorpions are pretty crazy.
I kind of like it :) GS are fun to fight against, especially when they bring 2 armies with a Waagh each. The battle gets so epic, my computer does not like it as much as I do :D
I mostly think it's neat, especially when playing a New World faction, and a massive Greenskin army kinda stands as the last major challenge of the game, but it's miserable with Tomb Kings, especially since whenever I play them, Grimgor seems to have an odd fixation with the desert.
The treacherous trait on heroes never applies cuz in the codes they made that restricted to general only but for some reason they let that to stay on the heroes too.I created a mod specifically for this bug and solved the problem in that and whenever i play tomb kings i use it

That's why I'll never go beyond Normal difficulty for my battle and almost always Hard for campaign, bumping it to Very hard if it gets too easy. The amount of cheats the Ai get on higher difficulties is just insane smh
@@matejaradulovic1075 I just find cheese armies a bit boring like if you play vampire coast for example and just recruit a full stack of necrofex. So I play normal battle and very hard campaign
My end game tomb kings 'doom stack' was a trio stack, my actual army, then 2 supporting armies of base skeletal infantry and archers. Was easy as heck to keep them up at full 60 stacks at all times.
Great vid! I'd Say a few easy ways to improve the quality is 1. Fonts, They give a huge impression of the video, and 2. Music, Although i have extreme nostalgia for the music you used, i think something more fitting would be Something pertenant to the video. Otherwise, great video!

Don't need a doom stack for Tomb Kings because got a lot good anti-large tools and good magic I never had problems on legendary (beside Wood elves but update just fix that) Edit: now I think about it I never finish wood elves because it basically sit 20+ turns doing nothing
I don't own Warhammer 1 so I can't get Mortal Empires (I plan on getting it sometime in the future). Any recommendations for Arkhan in Vortex and how to deal with Eshin when that war inevitably happens?
I actually haven't played Vortex but the Skaven don't really have cavalry, so faster u it's like Tomb scorpions and Necrosphinx should be able to run circles around them. Spells are also really effective against Skaven, but you should already be putting at least 1 spellcaster in your armies. (the only times I don't is for meme videos)
Also scorpions are indeed not very powerful single entity, but they are very strong againts foot infantry, mainly because of their attack animations, one would be surprised, that it is not just the raw numbers, but the frequency and the way the unit attacks is also a factor.
Started my Settra campaign...the Ork Boi didn't even wait till turn 100, they declare war on me at turn 40, out strength me 4 to 1 and force me abandon the desert conquest to dedicate 4 armies defend the north east region.

Didn't even know who were were and saw this cause I'm playing as Khlaida RN and even tho my archers are insanely op due to the ammo buffs they have 25 percent extra ammo on top of 8 percent you can do 3 times is insane for a archer based army in my opinion I still need things to soak up infantry assaults and somewhat cav because the greenskin AI for me in the badlands is using cheap infantry trash stacks with quality heavy melee cav to wear down my superior forces and the I was wondering if scorps were worth it to any degree to help get a meatshield to help stop my tomb guards from being slaughtered. They don't ever break but they get slaughtered and so the attrition from battles is slowimg me down. This vid helped me alot in that tomb scorps definitely have a need to fill because I've been out damaging my enemies consistently but have had no decent expendable tanks that aren't too half bad but aren't exspensive so i can get money into having more armies so i can play damage control at turn 140. Mors and enshin are alive and helping me as allies while everyone is a free for all moment cause everyone is at war with grimgor whike tryna break out of the damn corner. I'm new completely to the game franchise even tho I've watched memes and vids of gameplay for a minute so I'm playing on normal completely to get a feel
Lone shadow no shame in Normal Difficulty, in a lot of ways it’s more fun. I felt like sharing this video because I had to learn this through a lot of painful trial and error. If you want more advice for improving your Total War game I would watch LegendofTotalWar, he has live-streams of every faction on his channel.

Im confused, TK have one of the easiest late games since they arent limited supply lines. Your armies may be weaker than if you play other factions but if you keep up with research and use jar cheese you can have twice as many armies in the late game compared to when you play a different faction
There are a few things like rushing Nagashizzar and the jar cheese that I didn’t do, so I might revisit this campaign someday to see if I can play it better
Here are the rules: game is CPU heavy: use shadow play Game isn't cpu heavy and you have cpu resources left over (extra cores etc) use OBS for potentially better quality. You can use the nvenc encoder that shadow play uses in OBS too, no reason to switch apps
@@gamingrambles no worries Bro we all make mistakes. Nvenc encoder is around the quality of the 'veryfast' cpu preset in OBS. If you manage to upgrade your CPU to say, a 5900X or something with 8 cores or above, you should be able to do the 'fast' or even 'medium' preset, which will offer much more clarity. Of course warhammer is cpu dependent so make sure to lock to 60 FPS to keep the framerate stable as well.

Trust me, I know. I have a second channel called Patriotic Ramble, where I discuss a lot of different non-gaming topics. Started that channel years ago and poured more time and effort into most of those videos than anything on this channel (even the Alith Anar Video).

If my video gets traction on Reddit, it's guaranteed to perform better on UA-cam
This is just seems like a bad strategy that underutilizes the TK's strengths, is over reliant on their weaknesses, and wastes so much time cheesing. Tomb Kings lack the means to create single-unit doom stacks, so why build your campaign that way? Stack your lords with all of the high tier units you can muster, and then fill the rest of your armies with low tier units until you are capped out. There is no reason not to cap out. None of this "wasting the enemy's ammo" cheese. Seriously, all of your scorpion stacks had empty unit slots that could have been filled with FREE, SHIELDED, MEAT SHIELD units. Sorry for the rant. I just think a strategy video should offer effective strategies and not lead players astray. If this was labeled as a "fun" build, I wouldn't be so critical.
This sounds like good advice and i definitely started my campaign like this, but against the dwarves on very hard battle difficulty my armies performed worse WITH those extra filler units. It sounds crazy but I was better off with a smaller army of just single entity monsters than an army that also had garbage units (even tomb guards would melt against late-game dwarves)
You struggle using all this cheese? Seriously? Maybe you forgot to do Jar's chesse? I am sorry, but there is one thing to write here. Git gud son. Probably cause you keep using Death magic. It's lower tier compared to Light. You probably make a lot of bad decisions on map and building your settlements. TK don't really want to doomstack. 2 armies working as 1 or one decent mixed stack is much more efficient. Use ranged units. Never use flying ones. Get books. Make sure you always get good traits on heroes. Level up your Heroes and Lords asap and don't use Screaming Skull Catapults. If you're still not sure - go watch Legend of Total War. It's his second favourite faction.

yes. You will probably have to fight at least one of them in the late game and the Scorpion doomstack is effective against all of them

I might be way late in saying, but don't auto resolve with the scorpions. The AI just compares numbers and they get eliminated with not many kills

Other small UA-camr have their channel maybe a year active with a lot more... let´s say Let´s Play videos or something and got not even 10 subscriber the last year. (I am not advertising someone or myself *cough* *cough*)
I am just saying. You are very lucky I thing and you should use that big opportunity because you already completed one requirement to get monetized. You can get 4000 view hours in no time.

Trust me, I know. I have a second channel called Patriotic Ramble, where I discuss a lot of different non-gaming topics. Started that channel years ago and poured more time and effort into most of those videos than anything on this channel (even the Alith Anar Video).
Wow what. The Algorithm now got more mysterious for me. I don´t even now why this channel is getting more attention then the other one. Maybe it is just the topic? The tags, or maybe the videos have to be as random as the Algorithm himself. We don´t know. But whatever it is, use it! Take advantage of the momentum!

The topic is more appealing, I had one video (the spongebob one) go viral because everyone loves spongebob, and the TotalWar Subreddit is ok with some self-promoting material (many subreddits are not which leads to only prominent channels ever being featured). If my video gets traction on Reddit, it's guaranteed to perform better on UA-cam

This is just seems like a bad strategy that underutilizes the TK's strengths, is over reliant on their weaknesses, and wastes so much time cheesing. Tomb Kings lack the means to create single-unit doom stacks, so why build your campaign that way? Stack your lords with all of the high tier units you can muster, and then fill the rest of your armies with low tier units until you are capped out. There is no reason not to cap out. None of this "wasting the enemy's ammo" cheese. Seriously, all of your scorpion stacks had empty unit slots that could have been filled with FREE, SHIELDED, MEAT SHIELD units.
Sorry for the rant. I just think a strategy video should offer effective strategies and not lead players astray. If this was labeled as a "fun" build, I wouldn't be so critical.

This sounds like good advice and i definitely started my campaign like this, but against the dwarves on very hard battle difficulty my armies performed worse WITH those extra filler units. It sounds crazy but I was better off with a smaller army of just single entity monsters than an army that also had garbage units (even tomb guards would melt against late-game dwarves)
You struggle using all this cheese? Seriously? Maybe you forgot to do Jar's chesse? I am sorry, but there is one thing to write here. Git gud son. Probably cause you keep using Death magic. It's lower tier compared to Light. You probably make a lot of bad decisions on map and building your settlements. TK don't really want to doomstack. 2 armies working as 1 or one decent mixed stack is much more efficient. Use ranged units. Never use flying ones. Get books. Make sure you always get good traits on heroes. Level up your Heroes and Lords asap and don't use Screaming Skull Catapults. If you're still not sure - go watch Legend of Total War. It's his second favourite faction.
