I review the video history of DOUBLE INDEMNITY which first arrived on tape from Universal in 1987, then I discuss Laserdisc and the various reissues, new masterings, DVD, Blu-ray and finally the 2022 Criterion 4K UHD and Blu-ray combo format release. I cover the best picture source, the best audio source and the extras over the years. Some of these were NOT ported over on the Criterion release.

I didn't realize how many elements and variations go into these releases...
Once you start digging into this stuff it's a whole other world of information and material....I fell down the rabbit hole years ago and am still going.
The opening of this video is Gold.
Thank you!!! Sometimes I wonder if my goofiness resonates with people. This is basically the shorter version of the much longer intro on the review I did of the UHD.
The Christmas special I needed! Have a good holiday :)
Excellent info. It's challenging taking in so much material about one singular release. I've enjoyed all of these vids you've done throughout the year. Happy Christmas, and thanks again. You're knowledge is invaluable.
Fascinating
I love the small UA-cam James Bond Fan channel " UE Media " !
Would you consider something on " The deep " ? I love that movie + the soundtrack.
Oh dear what happened to the original, edited camera neg?
My original “Laser Disk” player is long gone, was never a big fan of the format, too much maintenance for disks and player to keep it clean, I personally do not know of anyone who still owns a laser disk player, I see disk for sale on eBay, so I guess there are people out there who still use the format, again, not a fan
