S/o Landin Jordan and Cam Crowe. Already Northern Illinois bowling legends. I had the great pleasure of leading an ISST featuring both of them after qualifying in December 2019. Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb, Illinois. I got a first round by, lost in the second round, won the third round in the loosers bracket, and then Cam knocked me out in the fourth round. I stuck around to watch afterward, only to see 13 year old Landin make it a round or two further than I did. I wanted to be salty so bad, but I knew there had to be a reason he was still there after me. Lo and behold LMFAO... He's on TV, I'm watching it on my phone in my apartment.
Fox sports is on a roll so far this year for pba uploads !!! Great stuff 👍
I will never tire the feud between Tom Daugherty and Rob Stone.
Can you please elaborate? I heard the chatter, but I don't know what it stems from.
@joemarchand8313 It's a joke feud between the two, started all the way back in 2011 when Rob made the calls on his 100 game at the TOC. They're obviously friends, it's all in good faith, of course.
I can’t believe Daugherty MISSED the opportunity to be the first ever bowler to bowl a nationally televised two-digit score!
It’s actually fun to watch bowling when they aren’t throwing urethane up 12 😂
I love this format and this is what I just mentioned last week that I wish happened on a regular basis where bowlers 5-9 face off on Saturday evening then the win of that advances to the format Sunday to do the format 1-5 on Sunday. That would be amazing vs just seeing one show every Sunday
I think it should only happen in majors they have to pay for TV time it not that profitable but for majors definitely
I’ve never heard Randy hype up a sponsor more than Dude Wipes ever before
Oh he did storm back in 2010. He was very pro storm on his commentary.
The worst is when vai is or aj johnson are on tv. He doesn't shut up about how in shape they are. pretty creepy
@ or Marshall Kent lmao
@@bowlnow824 storm is so bad now he's clinging to dude wipes haha
watched that 299-100 live and it has to be the most exciting pba match I have ever seen. Also I love Mika. All time great for sure.
Thank-you Fox Sports
Bill O'Neill is solid on the telecast
Lmao I was going to comment that
Thank you for uploading this so quick! Nice work!
Reminder:
Kris Prather was 19th place and 200 pins behind cut going into last rounds of match play
Tackett was in like 80th after the first 16 games bro😂
@@RyanShowalter-o8i 83rd he capped at, after the first 8 games of match play, he had gone from 67th I believe to 9th in 16 games after going +271 in round 3 of qualifying, and having a great match play record
When Randy said Prather looked uncomfortable on the lane I thought he would plug Dude Wipes at that moment. 😂 Dude Wipes makes me feel more comfortable where ever I may be.
Video quality is amazing! Content is engaging. And the flights are out of this world. Cant wait for the SD video.
Hard fought!
It was really cool to see Tom Daugherty back on TV! I hope we get to see more TD (finals), would love to see a great Racket or Belmo matchup (but Sim-o is a pretty cool one too!)
Happy to see the kid make it. Obviously he was a nervous wreck.
I never could stand Daugherty...but it seems to have changed. He has that 'older guy' coolness and calm. I like it. 👍
Fox Sports, Thank you for uploading the 1st Show of the Stepladder Finals of the U.S. Open. Also, The U.S. Open Pattern is one of the Toughest Oil Patterns on the Pba Tour. Also, I am looking forward to the 2nd Show of the U.S. Open that is airing tomorrow at 4 P.M. on Fox. Also, both Anthony Simonsen and E.J. Tackett are the only Bowlers that have made the Stepladder Finals of the U.S. Open in Woodland Bowl in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I guess it’s time to take out all the TV monitors… it’s OK to wave at the camera once… but to wave at the camera every time you’re on it for two solid hours is about as lame as it gets. My opinion and I’m sticking with it.
7:52 “One swipe , no stripe….” Hahahaha..Randy lives the Dude wipes spots….😂
That got Rob so good.
I was at my best bowling no thumb 20 years ago... recently got back on the lanes and i just can't do it any other way... Daugherty is an inspiration for us rare bowlers.
It looks like it would be such a distraction to see your "ideal line" printed on the lane.
What was that weird noise at 52:07 😂
Thanks for uploading so quick PBA. Love to see it. Crowd mic was a little too loud while commentators were speaking tho. Duck the audio?
KP is cool. Great to watch ! ❤ smooth and powerful ❤
Thanks for posting
As a long time bowler its sad to see 24th place only got 3k this is the US Open for God's sake how can these guys make a decent living
Golf has luxury car, mutual fund, and five star resort sponsors. Bowling has “Dude Wipes”…for wiping 💩 smears. Bowling’s in great hands everyone😂 They gave us Bowlero, string pins, and “Dude Wipes”.
They can't
Bowling as a lucrative game has been over since the mid 90's.
There's money outside of these large tournaments. The best bowler in my league who is an amateur pro enters 1-3 local tournaments a week and earns close to what working full time at $15/hr would be. He of course has a regular job as well but local tournaments can supplement a chunk of living expenses if you're at the pro level. There's only 4 real houses in my state but that means bigger tournaments with thousands in prize pots weekly. PBA pros farm any decent local tournament along with doing the Tour and working jobs
@@nateg5505 I don't think so. I will give you my run down of what I did as a college bowler and still couldn't justify re-investing in the game.
1. I made money in every tournament series I bowled in totaling over 5 figures.
2. I won 2 of 3 leagues.
3. Was getting equipment very cheap - almost free at times.
That was making more profit than the majority of regional players, and it was still better to just quit. You need free practice or you will never get your money back Keeping that peak form took at least 40-60 games a week. Factor in a buck a game minimum, gas and miles on your car...FORGET IT!
All the bowlers that got eliminated could not figure out how to hold the pocket on the left lane.
A urethane ball with 78 hardness could have been perfect.
Lol at "Orange whip" (34:07). These announcers gotta be cool if they're quoting from The Blues Brothers.
Why in the world is Roto Grip discontinuing the Optimum Idol? I don't get it, it's a gem.
I'm tired of anything storm discontinuing everything they put out it seems like frfr...
@@cainhalmis9568 If it's not a Hy-Road or IQ Tour, it's getting discontinued.
I miss the days when it wasn't the same 4 or 5 people on TV over & over again.
They call Simo the Swiss Army Knife, because he's got so many tools in his toolbox. But I think what sets him apart from other bowlers is not his ability to throw a backup ball or any of that good stuff. I think his game is powerful, versatile, and he generates great pin carry. But above all I think he has a very aggressive killer instinct. Some bowlers choke up when the pressure mounts and make bad shots when they shouldn't. (Hello, Marshall Kent and Sean Rash). Some have ice in their veins and don't know how to choke. (Shark Prather, for one). But Simo actually elevates his game when the pressure mounts. He's like a carnivore who smells blood. You give him the tiniest opening, and he will come straight for your throat. 15 titles and 5 majors by a 28 year old bowler is not an accident.
Thanks, ChatGPT.
Prather has choked plenty of times. The PBA Team bowling/Elite league comes to mind.
7:30 and 12:34, 2 clean wipes of the day
Man I prefer Rob Stone over John Fanta any day of the week.
Did he use his thumb for spares? Daugherty
In truth I kinda missed seeing Jakob on tv last year glad to see him coming out so strong in 2025.
27:53 Kevin McCune is the only correct answer. First time on TV ever and he won the playoffs.
This isn't the US Open....its US preferred bowler only. Used to be a great tournament.
U can say that again.
I don't understand what you mean by this comment. But I really do want to.
Graham making it as far as he did this entire event with a scuffed fit and his finger collapsing in on itself like a dying star was pretty impressive.
LETS GO ANDERSON. GET THAT GREEN JACKET.
Prayer and Jordan live like an hour from each other.
52:06 Little kid got him. PDW would have called him a cursed word.
The pattern just makes me laugh
I know right, you laugh because it's too hard and you got no other choice
@@Frostecy It played a lot easier than it initially looked.
The 37 ft flat pattern ended up being the most difficult.
I wonder why the outside edges are different on the left vs the right. So it is different for lefties vs righties.
@bobh6728 less lefties. The theory is you force them to play more like the righties
The intent of the pattern appears to penalize bowlers if they over-rev the ball above 500 RPMs. Most of the bad splits appear to be over 510 RPMs or when the bowler revs the ball more than usual.
Did anybody get the „orange whip“ quote?😅 John Candy, Blues Brothers?
16:56 who let the kid in
That pins was about to stand back up
Will the audio EVER be fixed?
Why does Fox still show the camera angle from behind the pins where you can see ABSOLUTELY NOTHING? espn ruined bowling by showing 15 different camera angles when all everybody wants is to just see the ball go down the lanes and hit the pins. If for some unknown reason, there is two people in the world that like that behind the pins camera angle, show it to them as a replay. Thanks
Nah I totally get that. different angles are fine, but that behind the pin shot just never made too much sense to me😅
1st to comment, way quicker than bowling planet .. 😂 the kid was too nervous playing on live TV ,
Who cares, you cannot win 1st to qualify for the PBA! 😂😂😂😂😂
He never had good ball roll.
Jesus loves you. He died on the cross for our sins. Believe in Jesus and you will not die, but have everlasting life.
52:18 this kid needs to be removed
18:14
Is Jordan's spare ball illegal? It looks like it is plugged and redrilled...
It is legal to have plugged balls since this is a USBC event. On the PBA tour I think it is also legal.
Thats what I was thinking. Prather is using the Pitch Black for his spare ball. I thought that Urethane ball is illegal.
@@yasukebowling US Open is considered a USBC event so the urethane BS is irrelevant
I've been in the audience for shows. I have seen them move people because they kept playing to the camera. I can't believe they didn't move that kid and his dad that think the cameras are there for them.
28:25 bounce out
I'm out of the loop...what's the beef between Rob and Tom?
130k views and other fs2 video have barely 25k views. 👍👍👍👍
^5!
You can see Simonsen is in pain. Whatever it is, I hope he get it checked out.
You see his back when he releases the ball? Father Time disapproves
Landon got 70 pins MORE than Mr. 100 aka Tom Daughtery though. Good stuff. HAHA!
36:10 *A n d , s p e a k i n g o f t h e D E V I L !! T h e 1 0 0 G A M E !!* 😂
Oh yeah there was another event happening in Indianapolis.
EJ Tackett didn't make the cut?
this is the play in
This is a 9 deep step-ladder, this cast was the 9 to 5 portion. EJ is seeded at 2.
Yes! Rob Stone is back!
Spoiler wall 🎳
Not what I was expecting from Fach.
He was injured
The lefties struggled more on that pattern than the righties did. Four dropped places. 1 stayed the same and 1 increased 2 spots.
Simonsen has a bad back? No way! I wonder why?🤔😅😅😅
Why?
@@SneakySteevy because he gets too low on the approach when throwing it.. in my opinion atleast..^^
blows on left hand...
throws ball with right?
Do all PBA bowlers have to wear pants?
Really wish they would get a bowler instead of Rob Stone to commentate these events
PRATHERNATOR
👏
😂 Dude Wipes.
🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
18 years old Landin loss!
I've missed Rob. He adds so much to the broadcasts that Fanta just doesn't
Same old boring 2 handed no thumb boring bowling. I'm surprised the pba hasn't folded yet
Dear Americans the C in Fach is not silent! LOL
🤣🤣 they done censored that man's name
Bowling is not a sport
Prather always bowls well against newbies or lower tier bowlers, but then chokes against stiff competition.. i wonder if he just feels more pressure or what?
Can't stand Simonsen, Literally anyone but him.
Why I’m just curious??
Hate when people say he’s on 18 this tour is so hard for him to navigate. I was invading Iraq at 18 stop coddling the next generation it makes em weak.
I mean, could you have had an easier opponent? Talk about a waste of time.
@@joemac999bullets still fly towards you, not bowling balls!
This kid is still in high school, it's okay for him to still navigate adult life. This comment feels like an excuse for you to flex your military experience.
I think it’s anger that they spent their early adulthood in a potentially life ending scenario full of mental anguish and pain seeing the next generation actually enjoying their life and having an easier time. Theoretically we should be happy when the next generation is gentler because it means they existed in a time of peace and prosperity but some people would rather everyone else suffer as they did rather than be happy the work they did made life easier for others.
So you're saying you had an easy time navigating Iraq at 18?

Rob Stone is the worst!
Yes I agree, bring on Dave Lamont or anyone who is way better than Rob.
Your mom is the worst. 😊
@@NateCraven318 always one of the weakest responses, next you will tell me your Dad can beat up my Dad. Ladies and gentlemen, Nate is 15.... My point stands, Rob Stone sucks...
