I studied piano as an undergrad degree, and don't get me wrong I love it. I am still above all else a pianist when it comes to music. But just like you said, there is something about the organ that lends so much weight to the music that flows from it. I personally think it is because the organ 'breathes' better than a piano, and is more independent and self-contained than wind instruments. It can produce so many different timbres, which allows it to become overpowering at one moment and then produce extremely nuanced and subtle sound at the next. It is for me the most versatile instrument. If you are interested, you can go look up Saint Saens' organ symphony. The organ is literally a mini orchestra. Anyhow if all the above bored you to death, just remember one thing: you get to play the organ with your hands and feet and for me that is awesome. You really feel you are "one" with the instrument.
2:12 One trivia thing that breaks me EVERY time when i hear, is that Part B of this song is the SAME part of B "City Ruins theme" (with adaptations of course). I have the songbook and when i started to read and realized it, started to cry. Great performance. Thanks for the video.
This is so good, it could seriously be in the game itself. Knowing the Nier series as much as i do now, i feel like the use of an organ is insanely fitting with how effectively the instrument was utilized in Replicant's soundtrack. This makes the perfect transition from Automata to it
Thank you my friend!!! The organ is indeed an underrated and underrepresented instrument but it works exceedingly well for Nier music. Feel free to check out some other of my Nier improvs if you want! It is the bread and butter of this channel haha :D
3:43 - 4:06 and 4:36 - 5:04 have to be contenders for, if not my favorite parts of this. The amount of power behind the chords and the dissonance on the high parts in the middle bit (no idea what the musical term would be but i can timestamp the chord) gives me so many chills. Wonderful stuff as always!
@Tyler Hey mah man Tyler. Hope you doing well! I am so glad that you took the time to appreciate my improvisation in such detail, especially since this piece was done very earlier on. I kinda only started with organ around that time so most of the music still closely resembles the original ost (which in no way is a bad thing). You probably noticed that my more recent works are becoming, eh, further and further away from the original works. As for the parts you tagged, they are definitely parts that I found powerful even when I was improvising the piece. It is a very strange kind of goosebumps when you feel the entire space around you is filled with an ocean of timbres. The dissonance emerges from the instrument as my fingers glide across the keyboard, and the resolution to consonance follows. The musical tension and release I can provide are just spectacular on the organ. It is such a special instrument that can switch between delicate melodies and majestic chords in a split second.
Hey mate thanks for listening to my improvs even when no new ones came out for over a month haha. Will try to roll out more soon! This is definitely one that makes me proud :D
Thanks so much for your kind comment and suggestion! This was one of my earliest works and it has many problems in both playing and editing. I will make sure to improve each time :D
There's something about an organ that simply lends emotional weight to any music created with it.

It also brings it around back to the original Nier game, which often used an organ

Thanks for your kind words! I indeed improvised it as a Sunday service prelude.

Estava procurando por essa OST no órgão, muito shoooww!!! ;)
My Portuguese is not fluent but at least I know this: muito obrigado cara!
Maravilhoso!

When I saw the art I just imagined A2 in the distance furiously playing a recorder
Haha! That is an interesting image. I am quite curious why that sprang to your mind?
@@MusicaeOrganumexLudumetAnime I honestly don’t know myself
Glad that my music and the art together made you think about things normally don't come to mind
The pic goes hard
Hope ya find the tune goes equally hard
@@MusicaeOrganumexLudumetAnime it does, the body shall be the picture and the music the soul.
And they're perfectly aligned.
@KaliYuga2049 And your comment is the light that uplifts the body and souls.
Praise be to

Pronto from San Francisco!
Pronto!
Nice clean smooth just needs a little bit of an edit to get rid of the background interruptions other than that small nitpick amazing work
Thanks so much for your kind comment and suggestion! This was one of my earliest works and it has many problems in both playing and editing.
I will make sure to improve each time :D
